CH.10 A Promise For The Future

I awoke felling better then ever, it was as if I had all the energy in the world, I felt stronger than ever, "probably because I'm in the underworld" I said after waking up.

The first thing that I do after waking up is stretch, something that has been drilled into me by my mother, after that some exercise which include pushups, sit-ups etc.

After that's all done, I take a shower which I found pretty easily and finally I once again got to the dining room where I found Persephone eating breakfast.

"Good morning" I said in my monotone voice and deadpan face.

"Good morning, how did you sleep" she said smiling at me.

"fine" I said and started eating.

"Yes, id imagine you would sleep well after that" she said.

"Fuck you" I said angerly.

"Now now no need to get angry it was perfectly natural to grieve" she said.

"Yeah sorry" I said.

"Its fine, you seemed to have inherited his anger" she said.

"Speaking of him where is he, he said he wanted to talk to me "I said finishing eating.

"Ah you'll find him somewhere around here just explore" Persephone said.

"Ok then later" I said and then left.

I started exploring the castle and true to her words I found hades, except he wasn't in the castle, he was outside playing with a tree headed rottweiler with glowing red eyes, this of course was Cerberus or was Kerberos.

"So that's Kerberos, I though he be bigger" I said looking at the three headed rottweiler who was also looking at me.

"He his bigger, all monster and deities are bigger than they seemed but if we were always that big it would cause some problems" hades said.

"Oh, ok that makes sense I guess" I said and then went up to Kerberos and patting his tree heads.

"that's surprising he usually doesn't like new people even if they're of my blood" hades said sounding a little surprised.

"I've always been good with animals" I said then scratching Kerberos heads making him lean in forward.

"So, what exactly did you want to talk about" I said and kept play with Kerberos.

"I wanted to talk about your quest to be exact" hades said.

"What about it" I said.

"If you want to bring you mother back to life, you're going to need to do a lot of things one would be getting permission from the deity that has her soul" hades said.

"Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how to do that" I said.

"Yeah, id imagining you would, the best thing I can think off is for you to get strong enough to get something that deities wants and in turn you trade it for you mothers' soul, after that all that left is to make her a body" hades said.

"Thanks, I guess, was that all?" I asked.

"No, I got you this for all the birthdays that I've missed" hades said handing me a bracelet.

"a bracelet?" I said questioningly looking at the bracelet which had a few mini skulls on it.

"Push some of your divinity in it" he said and so I did make the bracelet disappear and turn into a dark sword.

"It's made from stygian iron "he said looking at the sword.

"I like it, thanks" I said.

"It was my pleasure" he said and then we both stood they're in the silence with Kerberos. After a few minutes I started talking again.

"So does this mean I can leave the underworld" I said.

"Yes, you already have control over your scent so Zeus should find you as long as you don't say his name" hades said.

"Because names have power I'm guessing" I said.

"correct" he said.

"Anything else I need to know" I said.

"You can't go on airplanes or anywhere near the sky that's Zeus domain and he will strike you down if you do, you don't have to worry about Poseidon you can cross the ocean, but I wouldn't recommended it without some serious protection" hades said.

"Okay got it, wait does that mean I can't go back to Europe how am I supposed to save my mother" I said.

"When you ready to save your mother I teleport you there, the least I can do" hades said.

"thanks" I said.

"So, I just don't have to get caught by Zeus and also find a way to help my mother at it, hopefully that's all" I said.

"hopefully" hades said in a way of knowing something that I don't know.

"Alright looks like I'll leave tomorrow" I said.

"Yes, it seems so, be careful I try to help you as much as I can" hades said then left leaving me with Kerberos.

"Now how exactly am I going to save mom" I said thinking out loud.

"Well, the first thing to do is to get information on the pantheon and hopefully get actual information, after that its just about getting what I need to get mom and then doing it, it can't be that hard right" I said then leaving to the castle leaving Kerberos.

The day went by, well at least I think it did, you can't really tell time where theirs no sun or moon but that dint matter, I spent the rest of the day in my room thinking about what my next move is going to be and also practicing reducing my divinity.

So enough it was tomorrow and after eating and saying goodbye to Persephone, hades gave me a backpack that I dint look and shadow traveled me to an apartment that he bought for me. The apartment what more of a condo but I guess when you a god of wealth you can buy what you want. After saying goodbye to me he left leaving me in a condo all alone. Yet even though I was alone that dint bother me because I had a goal that I needed to achieve and no matter what I was going to bring my mother back to life and fix this mistake.
