4 Moving along

[7 months later]

Faith lunged forward trying to pierce Celeb's leg. Celeb, however, had far more experience and so saw the attack coming. He spun to the right almost like he was dancing and then used his left sword to push Fatih's trident into the ground. Faith tried to back away but couldn't get her trident out of the ground with Celeb's sword pushing it down and so lost her balance. Celeb used the opportunity this provided to press his right sword against her neck.

Celeb then decided to joke around a bit and kissed her on the temple before he spun away. "Come on Faith you're better than this," Celeb said with a grin. Faith was standing still with her trident in the ground looking flustered.

"I will get you for that." Faith said, aiming her trident at Celeb's face.

"Well, at least you still have Faith," Celeb said, still grinning.

"Ah! I will kill you for that." Faith said glaring at Celeb. She took one of the water bottles for a satchel and then cut it in half using her trident. She made the water start spinning around her. Celeb watched in interest as he knew that Faith had created some new techniques using water during her free time but she had not allowed him to see what.

Without warning the water was shooting at him at great speeds. Caleb had however expected something of those lines and so was able to quickly fall to the ground only to shoot right back to his feet once the water had gone overhead. What he hadn't expected however was for the water to come right back for him. On pure instinct Caleb called on the earth to stop the attack from reaching him, the earth responded to his call forming a wall of dirt and rock behind him.

This resulted in Caleb deciding to stop playing around. Celeb shoots forward, Faith being taken by surprise by this sudden turn of events. Tries to back away but is far too late. Celeb pushes her down with a quick tackle to the midsection.

As they both lay panting on the ground, Celeb slowly picked himself up from the ground. Then reached down a hand to Faith. Faith took his hand begrudgingly and while glaring at him opened her mouth.

"I thought that I would get you there. I trained so hard to learn that move." Faith said disappointed. "Don't worry about it too much. You need to remember I have trained for far longer." Celeb said in an attempt to comfort her.

"Well we better stop now…" said Celeb. "But, but..." Faith started but the look in Celeb's eyes made her stop. I was something wild, primal even that she couldn't quite put a finger on. It scared her, however. She knew instinctively that if they continued now she would get extremely hurt. Not because he wanted to hurt her but for the fact that his body now saw this as life and death.

"Fine, but you owe me one." Faith said. "That works. Let's get moving. Let's shower and change before we eat breakfast." Celeb said, relieved. The two chit-chatted going back to the camp. They had left the area where they first met a week ago and were moving around now to throw off any monsters that might be following them. Celeb had also started to plan expeditions into the city. But knew now that there were two of them he needed to be more careful. Where before he had done whatever he felt like at the time he now needed to have a plan.

They reached the camp, nothing big, just two tents and a small fire. The fire had long gone out long ago, the two of them went to shower in two separate boxes of stone made by Celeb. Celeb then drags the water that had been heated in the ground to the surface, Faith then proceeds to take the water, clean it and then shower them both. This had become a kind of ritual they did nearly on instinct after training nowadays, but not only did it allow warm showers in the wilderness but also trained their control.

"Hey, Faith, I have been planning on going into the city for some time now. We need to resupply and if possible I also need to do some additional research now that I know more about our situation. What do you think?" Celeb said after using warm winds to dry him and Faith.

"That sounds fine with me. When are we leaving?" Faith answers after having put on her clothes.

"I was thinking, tomorrow. We can move the camp closer today and leave all the non-essentials here." Celeb said. "Sounds good to me. So should we pack up now then?" Faith said, looking over at the tents.

"Probably." Celeb answers. He moves over to his tent and after packing up everything inside, he packs up the tent. After packing everything he looks over at Faith and sees that she's just started packing up the tent. He starts walking around removing all the signs that they were there. Making the campfire disappear under the earth, removing footprints and restoring the training area.

When he comes back Faith is done so they start walking towards the nearest city. After walking for a long time the landscape became more populated. They checked into a campsite nearby and decided to take the rest of the day off, playing around and having fun.
