34 The Ceremony Part 2

Annabeth's eyes widened. "A goddess locked away by this snake guy, and a prophecy that states if she" Annabeth pointed at Hermione. "Isn't alive by the end of the wedding then there will be a world ending war. Did I miss anything?"

We shook our heads no.

"This sounds more like a plan just to get her here, than an actual prophecy" She said. For the first time in over a fortnight it seemed someone was making sense! Where has she been the entire time I wondered.

"We've walked into a trap." Annabeth said ominously.

~Percy~

In the end It took us about half an hour to explain what happened for the last two weeks. We left out the relationship between Hermione and myself. It just felt weird to explain how you've gotten together with your new girlfriend to your ex, regardless of how it ended. But Annabeth dropped a bombshell on us. She explained about Aphrodite's scarf, and what it probably meant.

After the explanation it seemed that Hermione caught onto the full story between Annabeth and himself and she looked sad. It pained my heart to see her like this. There was too much information to fully process what this all meant. But too much has happened. I am with Hermione, Annabeth and I we needed to talk, and so did myself and Hermione.

"Things are happening Percy!" Nico exclaimed.

They all looked up in surprise to see Lamures invading throughout the party.

"Damn!" Percy said

As he guided Hermione to safety suddenly a man dressed in all black with a white mask covering his face with a hood blocking his hair, sent a glowing red light at Percy. He didn't hear the words from the casted spell the Death Eater threw at him but it was a powerful one. Caught completely unaware he felt a few bones crack before he land again.

~Hermione~

Percy was sent flying by the spell. His muscular body hit the ground twice before falling into the nearby lake. Hermione watched the water ripple as it's waves swallowed his familiar form. She tried not to panic, Percy was a child of water itself and by his own word unpolluted water can heal him easily. Her brows tightly knit together in an unspoken worry but she watched the man in front of her that she guessed was... "Lutius Malfoy" The man's expensive shoes glided quietly through the finely decorated area as silently approached her.

The masked man tilted his head at her, though it was hard to guess his reactions while his facial expressions were blocked she guessed he was smiling at her defeat. Pailing she struggled to get back into a fighting stance, but when she got halfway up a familiar arm knocked her back down. Stunned by the turn of events she looked over to see the one person she thought would never betray her... "Ron?"

"Ha Ha Ha, No rush! He wont be getting up from that anytime soon." The red headed wizard said to her right.

"What are you doing?" Hermione gasped

The red headed boy looked at her an anger lit in his eyes. "Always so smart. Always telling me what to do or what to think. And you always had to take up for the spot light seeking Harry Potter!"

She gasped. "W what did you do to Harry?

Ron seemed to have snapped when she said Harry's name, meeting his gaze it was like seeing a stranger's. Bewildered and a little confused. Her friends always had her back what was he doing now?

"Ron, I don't understand. How could you do this?

He started laughing then, at one time she found the laugh contagious and interesting, but now she was horrified. The once gental and caring boy has turned harsh and terrifying.

"You don't understand? Hermione. The smartest witch of our time is now... Stumped? World of wonders!" Ron was throwing his arms around looking like a wild gorilla and it had appeared he lost his mind.

"Let me ask you... princess. In all the days that we were together, did you ever consider me? GOD! Even now I see you sneaking glances at the pond your lover died in!"

"What do you mean, think of you?" She had to keep him talking to give Percy some time to recover. She didn't know how much time that would take but while Ron is dialogging she wanted to give him as much time as possible.

"Think. of. me! You were always off being little miss brainyack! and not only am I over shadowed by my 'Best friend' "The boy who lived" but the one person that should love me!" He was screaming most and muggles had run far away by now, which gave her room to try to make a plan of escape. Damn I hope Percy is alright!

"So what! You were overshadowed a little when you were a kid. Most of the attention we received was unwanted. If we could have let you have it we would have. Why help the Dark lord? Were we not still your friends?"

"HA! Stopped? When? It never stopped! You went and became a lawyer, Harry the head Auror. Always in the spotlight getting news articles written about how amazing you are. Some friends, you lot were." His demeanor changed then something colder and sinister. He lifted his wand pointing it strait at me, his sleave fell away and it was then I spotted it, a tattoo on the inside of his right arm. Darkness was radiating from his body. He was no longer Ron Weasley. My friend for elevin years. All of that had burned away with the spell that weaved a forbidden enchantment on his arm. The Dark Mark!

~Percy~

Percy was surprised. He hadn't been caught off guard for years... Well not by a mortal anyway. If wizards can be considered mortals. Regardless he was surprised and it hurt. Luckily there was a pond nearby and he was pretty much instantly healed from the attack. He hadn't unleashed his full skill in over three years, he had been holding back for so long he almost forgotten how powerful he was. The pull at his stomach learched and every bit of water around him, the pond, the underwater springs and even the clouds in the sky were at his command. These guys don't know who they are messing with. With great force he commanded the element to his control. With each pull of the element around him he felt something burst inside his stomach... it was his normal limit. Long before his break-up with Annabeth he had always limited his powers. He did not seek power, it was thrust upon him. He never wanted to have to learn how to sword fight or ride in a chariot or to even be a war hero. Yeah, those things are fun, but If he could just be normal ol' Percy Jackson, then it would honestly be a dream come true... That is why he has always held back. A chance... A chance at a normal life. One where he could one day be that person... That was never going to happen he realized. Maybe it's time to unleash what has been fighting for the last twelve years of his life. Maybe not even the gods know what that might be...
