A Visit from a Cousin

OMAHGODS GUYS XD. Remember in one of the previous chapters when I said I didn't like switching P.O.V.s in the middle of a chapter? Turns out that I did it in like, chapter 2. Talk about hypocritical. So, from now on, you might see P.O.V switches or you might not, depending on my mood. You have been warned. Unless, you just skipped this. Then you have not been warned. *shrugs*

Also, Percy and Annabeth do NOT go to Goode in the actual Tower of Nero book, and they find out about Jason's death the moment they reach Camp Jupiter. Here, I'm going to do something a little different, since Percy is still going for his diploma. Hope that's okay.

Percy Jackson's P.O.V. (First Person)

I sat on my bed, thinking about all the scars that Bruce saw. Of course, I had a lot more, but luckily, he didn't see them. I bounced my legs, deep in thought. Then, I remembered that a few days ago, Nico IMed me saying that Apollo turned back into a god again, thanks to his help. I was in California at the time, figuring out how to get into New Rome College. That was when Annabeth and my mom told me to finish my diploma at Goode.

I saw Frank and Hazel, but they didn't really come up to me at the time, and they seemed a little squeamish, like they were hiding something from me. I turned a blind eye on it then, but now, I felt like Annabeth wanted to talk to me about the same thing. I grew worried before heading into my bathroom. I turned on the faucet and created some mist using my powers.

"Oh Fleecy, do me a solid. Show me Nico, wherever he is." I said, throwing a drachma in.

The scene changed and I saw Nico guiding some ghosts to the Fields of Asphodel. I waved, "Yo! Neeks!"

Nico scowled before directing the last ghost, "Don't call me that, Jackson." He seemed to notice the new background behind me, "Where?"

I looked around, "The bathroom. Avengers Tower."

Nico shook his head, "How do you get yourself into these messes?"

I shrugged, "I don't know, ask Annabeth. Anyway, could you shadow travel here? I have some questions and I need to get to Annabeth."

He nodded and cut the connection. I turned behind me and Nico sprang out of the shower's shadow. I decided to have a little fun with him. I kept the shower door closed and used my powers to make water come out, drenching Nico. He growled before pushing the door open.

I laughed at Nico before he sent me a chilling glare, "Dry me up, Jackson. Before I use my powers to pull out your skeleton using other skeletons."

I smirked and snapped my fingers, effectively drying him up. Nico sent me a glare before he walked out of the bathroom and inspected my room. He seemed to like it because he smiled, "Feels like...home."

I nodded, slinging my arm over his shoulders, "Reminds me of the Seven."

Nico paled and seemed to be holding back tears. I noticed the look and guided him to sit on the bed with me. My little cousin might have been a pain in the butt at times, but he was family. I gave him a small hug before asking, "Neeks? Is everything okay?"

He shook his head, blinking out the tears, "Yeah, everything's f-fine." He sniffed.

Before I could say anything, Tony and the other Avengers burst through my bedroom doors. Nico and I got into a fighting stance before I sighed and helped calm him down. Nico and I just frowned. I rolled my eyes, "Can I help you and Stark and Lackeys?"

Stark pointed to Nico, "Who's that? How'd he get in here? How'd he get clearance? Why didn't Friday-"

I walked up to him and flicked his forehead, effectively quieting him. I waked back to Nico, and smirked, "This is my cousin, Nico di Angelo."

Stark just scoffed, "How'd he get in here?"

I shot him a look, "Deal with it Stark."

"That didn't answer my question!" He said, flailing his arms around.

At that moment, Thor walked in. He was eating Pop-Tarts, and he dropped them the moment he saw Nico. I looked at Nico, who was snarling, his hand hovering over his Stygian Iron Blade. I set my had on his shoulder and he looked at me, "Who's the god?"

"That's Thor. He's not like Zeus, don't worry." I nodded to him, and he dropped his hand.

The Avengers seemed ultra confused. Nico and I just snickered. I turned back to Nico and asked, "I haven't even eaten dinner yet. Wanna come with?"

Nico blanched, "Perce, last time we tried to eat..."

I nodded, frowning, "I know, but they don't. Besides, I ate pancakes this morning...and went half the school day without throwing up. And Ap-Fred told me that you ate some food when you helped him on his road trip."

Nico nodded, "Yeah, but I was really tired. I mean-"

"Neeks." I gestured to the others, who were watching with opened mouths.

Nico looked at them and glared at me before lifting a finger up to my nose, making me go cross eyed, "Don't. Call. Me. Neeks. Jackson."

I chuckled and nodded. We pushed our way through the crowd of Avengers, leaving them baffled about what they had just witnessed. Nico and I walked side by side, and I leaned in to whisper, "How's Annabeth doing?"

He grimaced, "She's fine. Just grieving."

I raised an eyebrow and frowned, "Grieving?"

Nico paled, "N-Nothing. Never mind.

I narrowed my eyes, "What are you hiding, Death Breath?"

"I'm surprised you figured out that I was hiding something, with all that kelp you got there." Nico smirked and knocked his fist on my head.

I chuckled before sending him a look, "Don't think you can distract me, Nico."

He sighed, "The only way you're going to know is if you come to camp. Tomorrow. After Lunch, Cabin 3, 4:00 in the afternoon, sharp."

With that, Nico shadow traveled out of Stark Tower, probably going to camp to check on the others. I shook my head and went to the kitchen. I was going to grab an apple, but I thought better of it. I usually have nightmares of The Pit at night. Eating makes me throw up.

I decided to leave to camp the next day, but until then, I'd have to sleep on the couch. The Avengers still hadn't come out of my room, and I suspected they must have passed out on my bed. I laughed at the thought, jumped onto the couch, and had a dreamless sleep.
