Chapter Fifteen

Cangse Sanren went home after spending a month with her son, though for Gods and Goddesses, it only feels like a day, Cangse Sanren has her responsibilities. Finding herself in the temple where she lives with her husband, made out of rose gold and black gold, Cangse Sanren felt arms go around her waist. She turns her head and buries her face in her husband's neck. Wei Changze tightens his grip over his soulmate, not wanting to let her go.

He wanted to go to the mortal realm with his love to see their son, but Darkness in barrelling from the shadows there and him being there could cause more problems for his son, so he had to stay behind and take care of the temple. "I'm worried, A-San," he whispers to her. "I feel something about to happen, and it will shake the world to its core."

"Don't worry A-Chang, our son is taking care of it as we speak." she pats his cheek.

"It's not that war that the humans are brewing among each other, A-San!" he denies her claims, "As much I trust our son, I feel it's something more than he could stop himself. I felt as you have that his power is draining. Why didn't you bring him home once you finally found him?"

"Because, A-Ying found his soulmate, my Love. You know how long I've waited for him to settle down and find the one to bring our boy home for good. I can't deny him the life of a human if it means he could be back with us, once his life was over."

Hearing these words brought a slight joy to Wei Changze knowing his son finally found the one he found with Cangse Sanren, but it didn't ease his worry. "We must keep a close eye on him."

"We WILL love, and I'll ask my mother's guidance as well if it comes down to it."

Days turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months, as the months turn into a full year. This entire time Wei Wuxain waited and meditated to contain the energy in the burial grounds. Though it came to an end when an arrow was shot at his chest. Wei Wuxian catches the arrow and looks down at it to see a bird on fire, and he knew which clan this was from, though he didn't have much time to ponder on this as a sea of arrows were shot into the sky sorrowing, and aiming for him. Not even lifting a finger or making a small peep passed his lips, and a large red and gold barrier surrounded him causing all arrows to be stopped in mid-air before they could even reach a critical distance to Wei Wuxian.

With a wave of his hand, Wei Wuxian sends the arrows back to their archers killing every single one that lets them lose an arrow. Standing up from where he was meditating for a year, Wei Wuxian's eyes went crimson red as resentful and spiritual energy surrounds him as he floated up into the air. Glaring a thousand Suns down at Wen Xu who was the unfortunate soul to lead the Wen's to the burial grounds, which ended him being dead, and his head being sent back to Wen Rouhan by the last surviving Wen soldier that Wei Wuxian lived.
