Hi guys. I'm the author of Penance and here are just a few things I'd like to get out of the way: 1. There is a tragedy tag but there is no NTR! 2. There is violence but it will not be excessive. 3. The character in the cover is Demon Queen or Empress Alagarasi. She is the antagonist of the first volume of Penance. 4. The title means more than what some people may imagine. 5. Will it be a harem? There will be multiple romances but it won't be too excessive. 6. The overall feel of the story is going to be "helplessness" but at the end of the tunnel is hope so please do stick around for the end.
I've always been a fan of these sort of novels, ever since I started to read novels online. In a setting and situation that this story presents, I think tragedy and violence accompanies it greatly, and my theory is proven correct multiple times. There is potential for this story and I'm excited to see where it goes.
Interesting style of world-building. I see potential in this novel. A little trimming and polishing can make this a real goody. Hmnn, where can I help.. I humbly suggest controlling the pacing a little. Please introduce us to the characters more. As a reader, I want to know more about them especially the MC. It will also make this novel shine more. Keep it up. I'll save it in my library to binge later.
This story carries itself with a more serious tone than others. The events are darker, as well. But that is part of what makes this such a unique story. The writing style is very good; I did not notice any errors. I think having a sort of antihero type of character for an MC is very interesting, and helps captivate the reader. Good job author! Keep on writing!
Ok, I have to say I dig this story. It is only 4 chapters along, but I can see the potential if the author goes in the right direction. Characters are interesting, I like Arthur, I was always a fan of Anti-Heroish leads that are just trying to survive. You can see that he only sees himself as a weapon to kill the demons, not as a human being, but he needs warmth from the magician. I wonder what happened to Alagasari. Anyway, I like the story and keep it up, author!
