Prologue

The first thing I remember from my birth is that, I fully appeared from a head that have been cut; dripping with blood everywhere. I too was covered with it but I managed to shake it all off, and then - I met with the gaze of a human; dressed in armour wielding a sword and a polished shield.

He looks at me with surprise as he stands right in front of me, I also noticed that we are inside some kind of cave as I look around.

And when I look beside me I saw what appeared to be a giant, dressed in gold armour that seemed to shine just like the sun and the sword he wield was just as bright too.

I immediately recognised who it is, we both have been inside our mother this entire time. And have develop a brotherly bond.

"Chrysaor, is that you?" I ask in disbelief.

"Yes brother, it appears we both have been freed by this young man. Although, at the cost of our mother's life." Chrysaor said sadly.

I look below and saw a lifeless figure laying on the ground with blood seeping everywhere; her skin was green and her bottom half was a body of a snake - I knew right there that the figure in question was our mother, her head was nowhere to be found but when I look up - I noticed the human have picked it up and put it on a small bag.

Before I realise it, I was scared.

If this human is capable of killing our mother, who knows what he can do to us.

My first instinct was to escape, but before I can do that; my brother Chrysaor use his power to destroy a nearby wall - creating an exit and also producing a loud noise that shook the entire cave.

Chrysaor immediately went through the exit hole but not before he look back at me.

"Brother, we now must go our separate ways. Try to find a place where we belong, may the gods watch over you."

And with that, my brother disappear as he jumped off. Leaving me alone with the warrior that killed our mother.

I have no idea what my brother meant by 'Find a place where we belong' but it sounds like he wants me to figure it out.

Then I heard a loud scream coming from the other side of the cave.

"Sister! What happened?!"

I was taken back but I know that screaming must have come from Stheno and Euryale, the sisters of my mother.

They love and care for her ever since she was cursed to be the monster she is today, if they were to find out that my mother is dead. Their fury will be incredible.

I know I must make a run for it, and it looks like the warrior human was thinking the same thing.

He rushed to the exit my brother just made, and; just like magic - he flew into the sky.

But I noticed what help him fly, was that sandals he is wearing; it has wings!

This warrior... Could he be a mortal chosen by the gods themselves?

Soon, the warrior look at me while hovering in the sky.

"You're a pretty cool horse you know that? I'm Perseus by the way, sorry about all of this."

Like a bird, he flew away after saying those words.

Perseus... I'll remember that name.

Just then, Stheno and Euryale have entered with a sudden outburst.

The minute they look at my now lifeless mother, they instantly shrieked in despair.

"SISTER!!! NO!!!"

As much as it heavy my heart to leave them, I know now I cannot stay here any longer. If I stay with them, it will just be a sad remembrance of how my mother was killed. And eventually, I will just be nothing but a burden to them.

With a lift of my wings, I prepared myself to fly away. As I gallop to the exit, I can hear the scream of sadness of my mother's sisters still vibrating throughout the cave.

"NO!!!"

I didn't look back, as I can feel my body floating. I fly away and leave the cave, never returning again.
