Expert Troublemaker

Ivan swung his legs over the edge of the school building. It was surprisingly quiet beside the occasional wind rattling the door not far from him. That door was the only way of the roof. He couldn't help but grin recalling how he ended up here.

If there was a prize for worlds best troublemaker, Ivan would definitely at least get nominated. Today, he had instigated a fight twice, causing twelve people to get suspended. He had also destroyed seven friendships and 'saved' eight people from the hell called relationships.

All in all, he had done an excellent job as troublemaker today.

Why would he do all these acts? Well isn't that simple? This world is too boring. Ivan had always been a genius in everything he did. Whether it was languages or subjects like physics and chemistry. That, of course, included troublemaking.

Why would that make it right to destroy relationships? It didn't. He just thought of it as fun. He didn't kill anyone or did any illegal acts. Well, almost no illegal acts.

Suddenly, a strong wind set up. Ivan hurriedly grabbed his jacket and stood up. Too bad, his timing was infinitely unlucky. As soon as he stood up, even stronger wind set up and lightning flashed.

This was an example showing that however much talent or work you have or do, you can't do anything without luck.

He fell down over the edge of the building. A few people on the street could faintly see a figure resembling a human falling down. Fingers pointed and screams quickly followed.

As Ivan fell he couldn't help but wonder. 'Would there be a more interesting world on the other side?' Ivan hoped so. Even though he wouldn't know if this was really the end of him, he still would really like it so. Maybe this was fate?

A blade of grass gently swayed in a soft wind. Soon, the entire field of grass made a ripple like motion. The wind got heavier till it even shook the trunk of the large oak tree. The wind got even harder when -plop- with a small sound a human body was expelled out of a tiny portal 50 cm above the ground. Fifty centimetres wouldn't normally an issue, but this body was titled, with the head to the ground causing the figure to undoubtedly experience a headache.

As soon as the figure woke up that is.

"Ugh, my head hurts like hell." Ivan groaned. Eyes closed, Ivan laid still and hoped for the headache to wear off. Disregarding the fact he had arrived somewhere unknown, he enjoyed the shade of the tree in the hot climate. From the lights entering through his eyelids he was able to assume it was noon.

Though not fully gone, his headache did lessen by half. Ivan continued enjoying relaxing under the tree shade though, he wasn't in a hurry to create trouble for his surroundings temporarily.

"Mom, is he also cultivating while lying down?"

"No honey, I can't feel any Qi from him so he is just a useless person. If you don't want to become a failure like him you have to put in all the effort to get into the Jidan Royal Academy or join the Swallowing Sea Sect."

"Oh I see, I will definitely do my best and make mom proud!"

Immediately, Ivan felt incensed and his headache disappeared into the background. Not only was his enjoyable relaxing interrupted, but he was also insulted twice as a failure and useless person to educate that boy!

Opening his eyes while standing up he saw this world for the first time. He looked around him and calmly took in his surroundings. The grass field he was standing on had only the one tree he was under. A lot of impressive looking buildings were around. There was one not far which looked exceptionally impressive, with the words 'Jidan Royal Academy' it was easily guessable why it was so impressive.

After a few seconds, his eyes fell on the mother-son pair. The mother looked at him with disdain while the child had a curious look on him.

"It seems I have found my new target for making trouble..." Without waiting for the mother or son to respond he casually walked off. The woman gave a small snort, mumbled 'delusional' and also walked off while dragging her kid along.

Ivan, of course, was undisturbed by the comment the woman gave. He was already contemplating how to use his new life. Ivan decided it was best to figure out what this world even was first and foremost.

What decided on political power? On what power was the society based on? How could he best cause trouble? These were all questions that needed to be answered as soon as possible.

It was just... How was he supposed to get common knowledge? 'Being the main character of a world sure is hard.' Ivan silently lamented.

Leaving all those problems for later, Ivan walked around. After going around a few corners he arrived in a place bustling with the people. People were selling, haggling, buying, haggling, auctioning, haggling and haggling. Evidently, this was the market. Ivan felt slightly relieved at the sight of the occurrence similar to his previous world.

"What! Five gold or a measly pound of Ice Crystal Rice! Outrageous!" "Mam, the harvest wasn't as abundant as last time! I am already lowering the price especially for you from six crystals! Going lower would make me a loss!"

"This is a specially created Bone Marrow Strengthening Pill with over 85% purity! You won't find this anywhere else in Jidan! Now let's start the auction at eight crystals! Increasing the bid with 500 gold every time! Start!"

No later than three seconds after Ivan had such a thought, he took back the statement. This wasn't similar at all! These were all terms definitely not used by normal humans!

Ivan quietly gave up finding similarities between his previous and present world. After all, it was just too different.

While standing dazed for quite some time, he got bumped into from behind. If not for Ivan's natural sturdy pose, he would've definitely been sent flying a metre or two. He looked behind him and was shocked. Contrary to Ivan's expectation, the one sending him almost flying looked only to be seven or eight years old!

The boy grimaced, hissed "this guy got no money at all!" and ran off with the other boys. Ivan could only look incredulously at the boys running off.

"Hehe, your look is something rarely seen, you look like you have never seen a city." A young male said. The young male earnest and innocent face made him look extremely approachable.

"Still unable to speak? Huh?"

In reality, Ivan was unable to wake up from his stupor due to a gigantic black tower appearing in his sights.

From what he was able to tell, it was at the very least twenty-five stories high. There was actually a building more imposing than the 'Jidan Royal Academy'?!
