Clarke's POV

"Yes!" I say happily. I can't believe that I'm going to marry Lexa. She stands up and hugs me tightly. Everyone around us cheers, and both our cheeks blush. Lexa grabs my hand and slowly slides a wooden wrong onto it. I kiss her gently, and she kisses me back. I feel a tear run down my cheek, and she wipes it away. Madi gives us both a hug, and Lexa a high five after. "Good job." She whispers to Lexa." She smiles. Everyone else gives us a hug, and Lexa doesn't look to me for help. She hugs everyone without thinking. Everyone congratulated us before Lexa takes me to the lake. I sit next to her on the rocks, with our feet in the water. She can't stop smiling, and neither can I. "I love you Lexa." I say happily. "I love you too." She says. We kiss for a moment and then I ask her something. "Do your people usually get engaged?" "No, but I told your mom I wanted you to become my houmon (wife) before the battle, and she told me how to ask you. I do know about the ceremony though." She says. "I can't believe we're engaged." I say. She smiles. "I made the ring myself." She says, and she looks at it proudly. "I love it." I say. "Want to go in the water?" She asks. I nod. We take off all our clothes, and head into the water. On our six years being near the lake, Lexa taught Madi and I how to swim. But she still stays very close to me, making sure I can stay afloat. I wrap my arms around her and pull her close. "I can't wait for you to be my houmon." Lexa says. I smile, and we kiss. I get lost in her touch, and before I know it, it's morning.

"Morning Fiancée." I say to Lexa. "What's that?" She asks. "It's what you call each other before you're married, but when you're engaged." She nods in understanding. "Then good morning to you to fiancée." She says. I kiss her in our bed, and she gets on top of me, while our kiss deepens. I hear the door open. "Hey guys." Raven laughs as she sees Lexa on top of me. Luna follows after her, and they link hands as she enters the room. "A little privacy?" I laugh. "We're going all eat by the fire. Come out when you're ready." Raven says. Luna and her both chuckle as they walk out. "They can wait a little longer." I say as I smirk at Lexa. She blushes, and we finish what we started.

We leave our hut and head to the fire. It looks like some people already finished eating, but my mom, Raven, Luna, and Octavia, and Diyoza, and Madi are there still. "Took you long enough. We saved you some berries." Raven hands them to us. "It's all we have for breakfast until we plant some crops." Luna says. As we eat the berries, Octavia talks to Diyoza, and it seems like they're already best friends. "When's the wedding?" My mom asks, smiling. "I don't know. Soon." Lexa says. I lock our hands together and kiss her on the cheek. "Tomorrow we will plant crops and start building some stuff." I say. Everyone nods in approval. "Today we can work on getting more food."
