Blocking a punch using my elbow, I grabbed the man's wrist and pulled him down as I hit him with a knee to the chin, his body being pushed back as he staggered.

A month had passed since my arrival in the Rikuko district. During this period I dominated the area where Rikuko and I lived, and I tried to increase my dominion even more, moving into other areas of the district while cleaning up the ground with the forces that kept control of other zones. It wasn't long before my name was known throughout the district, extending even to other districts. This brought unwanted attention, but dealing with the problems this brought was not too difficult.

In two weeks, I destroyed many criminal organizations that were active in the district, as well as faced strong opponents as a form of training.

The admins did not like what I was doing, sending the fourth and third elite to hunt me down. Honestly, the way I defeated them was so smooth that it is not even worth mentioning.

My strength increased slightly, while my skills improved considerably, as I was constantly fighting opponents accustomed to using dirty blows, as well as challenging myself by putting me in disadvantageous situations, such as facing an experienced mercenary while he had companions armed with firearms against me.

This earned me some injuries, but nothing debilitating.

The man I was facing at the moment was a well-known mercenary from the Rikuko district, who had a habit of "having fun" with minors by buying them from administrators. Unfortunately, the children and teenagers who went out with the mercenary never came back, so after learning this, I immediately went after him.

It didn't take long for me to find it.

"You little shit ..." The mercenary spoke as he grabbed his chin. "I'm going to kill you, and then-"

Before he could complete what he was about to say, I stepped forward and hit him with a quick jab to his nose, quickly continuing the attack with a sequence of extremely fast punches across his face and torso, the heavy blows destroying the bones in his torso and sinking his nose even deeper.

After I reached level 100 in my Jeet Kune Do, my awareness of martial art rose to a whole new level. My punches became extremely fast, and my movements even more difficult to predict. In addition, I was able to use two techniques that I never thought I would be able to use.

Desperate, the mercenary tried a punch to my face only for me to hit his forearm hard to stop the attack as I approached, standing inches away from him as I placed my fist in front of his chest.

"[One-inch punch]"

Punching him hard at such a short distance, his body was sent flying backward, his back colliding with the ground as a large amount of blood was expelled from his throat.

"Gah" He choked, his eyes turning upward, only for me to stand above him in a blink of an eye.

I frowned as I saw his eyes fill with despair and sat on his chest, causing him to spit up even more blood due to the weight on his broken bones.

"Please don't kill me! I beg you!"

He tried to plead, causing me to clench my jaw in frustration. Words were no good for this kind of person, so I simply ignored him, my expression turned grim as I raised my fist.

"No! Please! Have mercy!"

The veins in my forehead bulged as I heard him plead for mercy, my fist coming down like a sledgehammer before another word could come out of his mouth.

Boom!

Entering the pharmacy, I was immediately greeted by a hug, two small arms around my waist.

"Kou missed you!"

Turning my gaze downward, I cracked a smile when I saw Kou looking at me with a happy expression.

"I missed Kou, too."

This month my relationship with the little girl has improved much more, with me learning a little more about her past. It was a surprise to discover that the girl could not completely remember her past, leading me to believe that a major trauma had caused her memories to be locked away in her mind, as she had no sign of any head injuries.

I honestly didn't think much about it. If her memories were too traumatic, I would rather she not remember, since I cared too much about the girl and didn't want to see her suffer in such a way.

After killing the fifth elite, I began to teach her how to fight, since even though she had developed an enviable stealth skill, she would be forced into a confrontation at some point or another, as happened in her encounter with the elites. Kou didn't go against my idea, nodding in agreement to everything I said.

I was not surprised when she quickly absorbed my teachings like a sponge. Since she was still a complete novice, I only taught her the fundamentals of combat, such as stance, footwork, and the main punches. It may sound easy, but making these moves natural was not easy, at least not for normal people, but Kou, with 1 day of practice, was able to use the moves with considerable effectiveness.

After two weeks of training, she showed an improvement worthy of a genius, being able to move with her footwork in a polished and fast way, while not losing her posture when attacking.

After that, I was undecided about which martial art I should teach her. Boxing came to mind, but the noble art would not fit her physically weak body. Baritsu was out of the question, since I currently only knew 4 techniques of the style, and I didn't feel safe enough to teach someone. Jeet Kune Do was an option, as it was a very versatile martial art, but its approach of attacking while being attacked would not work for Kou, as she would not be able to deflect her opponents' attacks due to her poor physical strength.

So I decided to see how she would do by learning the Koei style, because although I hadn't completely mastered the martial art myself, I already had a good understanding of it, besides, the style would match perfectly with the girl's stealth.

After a few weeks, the girl still could not use the style effectively, but her improvement was clear. Since she was only 11 years old, I decided to take her training slowly. With her potential, eventually, she would master the style.

Looking around, I couldn't help but smile at how different the pharmacy looked.

The place now looked very much like a house, with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom, where Kou and I slept. It was nice to discover that the area leader's building had a gasoline-powered power generator, so I didn't think much about bringing it.

After that, I stole some furniture and materials from other leaders, using them to decorate the pharmacy.

I had no problem calling the place home.

Sitting on the sofa, I watched Kou walk to the kitchen, disappearing into the room divisions I had made with some curtains.

Letting my body relax, I sighed as I looked up at the ceiling.

I had not yet attacked the administrators as there was something they were hiding that left me with one foot behind. The reputation of the first elite could not be just speculation, since even other districts feared it. As much as I wanted to fight, dying because of a careless mistake did not seem pleasant, but no matter how hard I tried, gathering information about him seemed impossible.

With a sigh, I turned my gaze back to the TV.

"...!"

About to take control, my eyes widened as an intense pressure hit my body, my heart racing as my head turned to enter, my eyes narrowing as I let my aura explode as a way to combat whoever was behind the door.

'Strong... Fucking strong!'

Sweat pooled on my forehead, me rising as I braced myself for an attack from someone who seemed far above me.

After a few seconds of silence, the door opened, and a tall, imposing figure entered the room, with another tall figure following behind her.

My eyes widened in shock when I immediately recognized them.

"Masters?!"

I questioned in disbelief, my eyes on Agito and Mokichi, the blond with a peaceful smile on his lips.

"I believe I said we would come back in 1 month to see how you are doing." Mokichi spoke up.
