49 Chapter 49

A portal opened within the street of Gotham and I ran out. Instead of my body emitting purple lightning, it was now emitting crimson red lightning. After the speed force gave me the choice, without any thought, I chose to be its slave. The speed force is already a source of my power which means I am already a slave. Why not get some perks? I will still have my freedom and can use my power however I want so that's good. My speed now goes up to Mach 100 and I can enter and exit the speed force wherever and whenever I want. I mean, all I have to do is hunt down other speedsters and things trying to hurt it. It will be fun.

"Haaah. What should I do now?" I thought, running up the side of the Wayne Tower, stopping at the very top and looking over the city of Gotham. "Should I take control of all the underground gangs? Build a team? I plan to gain immortality and I am almost close to it. My body is growing stronger by the seconds, soon reaching a state of indestructibility. But what of my soul? How do I go about making it indestructible?"

Looking up to the moon in the sky, I said, "Eh Batman? How should I go about it?"

Batman who was standing some meters behind me didn't respond and just kept looking at me.

"You won't answer huh..." I said, appearing right in front of Batman with a red blur, looking down at him. He is only 6'1 after all and I am 6'5. "Shall we make a deal?"

"What is it?" Batman asked with a calm voice, making me smile seeing how he could stay calm while standing so close to a being that can kill him in a second. I won't be able to stay this calm after all.

"Give me information of the best magician or something along that line, that you know. In return, I will listen to one request of yours." I said grinning. I know he won't agree, but hay, worth the try. And it is not like I will stick with the deal.

"I'll think of it." Batman said, surprising me.

"Oh... Ok?" I said, not knowing what to do. This was beyond what I expected. My brain moving close to the speed of a supercomputer couldn't even see this coming. "Well, I will be waiting for your response."

Red lightning flashed around my body as a zoomed away and back to my mansion. On my way there, I saw the date, which showed I was gone for three days... wow. Didn't seem that long in there. I guess time flows differently there.

'Time huh.' A thought entered my mind and it went into overdrive, multiple calculations and possibilities going through it.

I reached my mansion soon after and walked into my living room, finding it different. It now has a bigger flat-screen television with external speakers and a bookshelf. In front of the tv, a glass table sat, with a potted plant and two black leather sofas sat on each of its sides, a long red leather sofa sat across the television, the table in the middle. A chandelier hung from the ceiling of the living room, right above the glass table. Sitting on the long sofa was a man who looked exactly like me, who was busy eating popcorn while watching something on the tv.

"Why the fuck are you in my living room? Matter of facts, my timeline?" I asked, looking at the man sitting on the couch, known as my time mirage flash, Carnage 2.0.

"Oh, you are back from where ever you went." Carnage 2.0 said, looking over at me. "It was boring in my timeline, so I came here."

"What do you mean?" I asked, walking behind him and looking at the tv where it showed an MMA match between C-1 and some random girl which she was fucking up badly.

"I killed Batman and looked through all the information he had, noticing something soon after. His information was vast, more than I ever knew, and I killed him. Right then, I knew life would be boring. No one would be able to outsmart me, or even give me much challenge." He said, throwing his popcorn into his mouth. "Though, I could have just went back in time and stop myself, I decided to reunite with the original Carnage. It would be much more fun being around the original, you know what I mean?"

"No, I don't know what you mean." I said, looking at the tv. "Where-"

"Here it is." Carnage 2.0 said, cutting me off and throwing me a USB. "That's Batman USB, containing all his information. Also, I kinda fucked up Ivy."

"You tried to see where her power came from, right?" I asked, looking at the USB then back at the tv where C-1 won the fight, her hand held up high by the ref, but I noticed dissatisfaction in her face.

"Yeah. Turned out all her blood and gene gives her were those poison shit and her green skin. Her plant control? That shot must come from another dimension-" He suddenly stopped and we looked at each other.

"Another dimension!" We both shouted, before zooming toward the cage in my basement, where Ivy was locked as a red and purple blur.

I got there some microseconds before him, and he looked at me surprised before asking, "Red lighting?"

"Completed the speed force trial." I said, looking at Ivy in her clean empty glass cage with one bed, who was sleeping soundly. "Well, shall we work together on this female?"

"After this, I will go and complete the speed force trial, so let's quickly find a way into this dimension." Carnage 2.0 said as we both vibrate into the glass cage.
