Chapter 135

Subject 1 floated down, landing on the rubbles of the collapsed building, realizing his telekinetic power from the other five. Robin managed to stick the landing, with Crunch and Aqualad landing on their butt. Djinn and Raven kept floating, watching as the five figures flew closer. Soon, the first figure reached them, slowly floating down as his cape fluttered behind his back.

He is a tall, muscular Caucasian male with vivid blue eyes and short black hair that curl over his forehead. He wears a blue uniform with a red-and-yellow "S" shield on his chest, a red belt, red boots, and a red cape.

"Oh, Superman. A promise kept." Djinn said, floating beside Subject 1.

Following behind him were Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, and Batman, standing on a platform created by Green Lantern. They stood, inspecting the team, especially Subject 1. Suddenly, with a blue streak of lightning, a Flash appeared beside the team, his mouth full of food.

"Sorry I am late. I was hungry." Flash said with a full mouth, looking at Subject 1. "Is that what I think it is?"

"He is Superman's clone." Robin said, stepping forward.

The league looked at each other, with Flash swallowing the food in his mouth. Superman stared at his clone, squinting his eyes.

"Start talking." Batman commanded, staring at Robin.

Robin explained how they found the secret base in the middle of the ocean, how they invaded the base, the clone being mistakenly freed, the clone destroying them, before turning to their side, and how he saved them. He not to say the reason the clone creation, knowing it will cause unnecessary problems. He also didn't disclose the third thing he was cloned from, the Kree.

"We'll figure something out, I mean, the League will." Superman said, looking rubbing the back of his neck. This is the third time he has met a clone of himself, but it doesn't get easier to communicate with them. "For now, I uh, I better get going." He turned around, flying away.

"We will investigate all 77 levels, but let me make one thing clear." Batman said, walking and stopping in front of the team. "You should have called. End result aside, we don't appreciate you running off on your own and doing things without reporting to the Justice League. You disobeyed direct orders, almost got yourselves killed, and you won't be doing this again."

"Oh, we will." Crush said, not caring she is talking back to THE Batman.

"I am sorry. What?" Wonder Woman asked, turning to Crush with a threatening look.

"Yeah. The Justice League is always busy with world-breaking quests. Leave the little ones to us. We can take care of ourselves." Robin cut in, folding his arm. "You let the Young Justice do whatever they want, and they have been a team shorter than us."

"The Young Justice is more experienced than you all." Said Flash, scanning the team. "And from what I see, the only experience person here is Raven."

"I am 4000 years old. I am sure I have more experience than most of you." Djinn bluntly said, Flash nodding.

"No, no. She's got a point." Flash said, earning a glare from Batman. "What? It is a fact. The only person I can say is older than her is Wonder--" Before he could finish his sentence, Wonder Woman shot a fierce glare at him, causing him to gulp.

"Next time, report to the League before you go on a dangerous mission like this." Batman said, turning around and walking to Green Lantern, who was busy scanning the crash site. Wonder Woman and Flash followed, with Martian Manhunter walking toward them.

"Would you be keeping it or not?" He asked, gesturing to the Clone, who was staring at the moon.

"He is not an it." Djinn snapped, folding her arm.

"Excuse my disrespect. What is his name?" Martian Manhunter asked, not at all getting mad.

"Asim. Call his name is Asim." Djinn replied, looking over to Asim, who turned to her, tilting his head.

"Asim, that's a good name." Martian Manhunter nodded, "So, will you be keeping Asim or allow the Justice League to take him in?"

"Yes. He is the newest member of the team." Robin cut in, smiling. "With him, our team will get stronger."

Martian Manhunter nodded, turning around, and walked toward Batman. Aqualad walked up to Robin, pulling his arm.

"What do you mean he is part of the team?" Aqualad whispered, pointing to his injured face. "See what he did to my face? That guy is dangerous."

"We antagonized him, so he attacked." Robin said, shrugging.

"I agree with Aqualad. All I did was free him, and he attacked." Crush said, walking beside Aqualad. "He is dangerous."

"You are more reckless than you think, Crush, and Aqualad, he might be a good friend to you." Djinn said, patting Crush's shoulder. "Let's give it a try?"

"What do you think, Raven?" Robin asked, not wanting to leave her out of the decision-making of the team.

"Eh? I don't care." Raven nonchalantly said.

"It is settled. When he does anything out of line, he is out of the team." Robin said, turning around. "Let's get going."

"You are the team leader." Crush said, walking toward the end of the Island where their jet is parked.

Robin walked towards Sentry's room in the X-Mansion, wanting to tell him how the mission went. Knocking on the double door, no one answered. He knocked again, but no one answered. He then reached toward the door handle, about to open it when Djinn turned the corner and saw him.

"You know we can't go in there." She said, floating over to Robin.

"I am curious." Robin said, opening the door and walking in.

The room is enormous, similar to a room that belongs to a king, but it appeared like it hasn't been used for years. Cobwebs covered the corners of the room, with dust covering every part of the room, with a musty odor coming out the room.

"Uggh. What is that smell?" Robin shouted, covering his nose. "It is like he doesn't even use the room."

"I see no signed of usage." Djinn said, floating into the room, not bothered by the smell.

"Sometimes, I don't understand Sentry. Why doesn't he want us to enter the room?" Robin mumbled, walking into the room, still holding his nose.

He clicked something on his mask, turning on night vision. He walked around for some time, finding something. One of the many bookcases didn't have dust in it, seeming like it has been used. He pushed forward on the shelf, causing it to flip open into a secret section. He walked through, finding himself in a staircase leading into the darkness.

"We should head back." Djinn said, walking in beside him.

"We are already here, so we might as well see what's at the bottom of these stairs." Robin said, ignoring Djinn, and started walking down the flight of stairs.

Djinn looked around before quietly following him, her too curious of what's at the bottom. Due to Sentry's room being on the highest floor, it took them a while before they reached the bottom. There, they saw a wooden door with Robin opening it. Behind the door was a small room with an unpainted wall of bricks, and only one lightbulb in the middle of the room, illuminating it. The only thing in the room was a whiteboard, holding the pictures of the five team members. Below each of their pictures were multiple sticky notes, some more than the other. His was the least, only having 2.

Curious, Robin went forward to read some of the sticky notes below his picture. [Good leader. Knows how to control a team] He smiled, picking up the second one, [Damian has a strong connection to Batman, which would be useful for my plan]

"What plan?" Robin mumbled, a frown appearing on his face. His gut was telling him to leave the room, but he decided to keep looking. "What does yours say?"

Djinn said nothing, sticky at the note, her eyes boiling with rage. Robin quietly walked behind her, looking at the note. [Djinn. A powerful being when under the control of a master. Would be useful to him]

Seeing this, he understood her anger. Different Djinn are sealed in bottles, some in pendants, others in rings. She is one of those sealed in a ring. With her ring, she would be under total control of someone. And for 4000 years, she was under the control of many different masters. She was commanded to perform the evilest deed over and over again. 1 year ago she was finally freed, now someone wants to control her again.

"Don't worry. I won't let that happen." Robin whispered, taking the paper out of Djinn's hand and crushing it. He quickly scanned the other notes, noticing all of them were talking about how each member of the X-Force was of use. "We need to tell the others about this. Sentry isn't who we think he is."

"I am afraid that won't be happening." A gentle, calm voice came from behind them. Turning around, they saw a tall, muscular man with sternly chiseled features, red eyes that give off a dazzling red glow dark room, and red hair and beard, standing by the door, blocking the only entrance and exit. He gave a small smile, "I am sorry, but you both won't be leaving this room."
