The nine Yin Lightning art was a lightning based energy art combined with martial arts ,that uses both sword, and palm techniques, simultaneously. It was specifically cifically designed for Xiao Ning'er by Hong and instead of lightning qi, It had nine special techniques that made use of lightning spirit force.

It was made to condition her physical body while she practiced the sword and palm arts , so she could use all nine techniques of nine Yin lightning art.

Lightning flow

Burning edge

Cutting edge

Thunder clap palm

Discharge

Lightning pillar

Each of the above use lightning energy, and needs special body requirements to perform the arts which was why Xiao Ning'er had only learnt four of the nine techniques. But she felt as if Hong didn't put her in his eyes.

Pale blue lightning spirit energy arched over her skin as her normally brown eyes turned pale blue, the pale ghost eyes.

It was the requirement for speed edge, Hong noted inwardly as he observed her actions. Lowering her body into a wide stance , electricity crackled for a second before she flashed at Hong in speeds barely noticeable by gold rank spiritualists while aiming her sword to his abdomen.

Speed edge is a speed focused martial art that makes use of the momentum generated by the speed to inflict damage. Pale ghost eyes are lightning spirit power enhanced pupils that allows the fighter to have better perception at high speeds. The path of the sword movement is simple in this technique as it uses the concept of sword draw here. Each movement is accompanied by one sword movement that Is predetermined, like how lightning falls to a tall tree.

But no matter how fast she is now, she cannot compare to the speed of a Zenith. And so her charge missed and she stopped a few meters behind him after sliding a few feet. Power that doesn't hit has no purpose, and the arc the sword had drawn went over Hong's head, as he had bent back a little before it came at his head, causing zero damage to him. But he suddenly shifted his entire upper body left, when a electrically charged fist came towards his face. Rumble fist is the easiest technique to learn since it's only a punch enhanced with lightning spiritual energy. She had mastered this in hours after he had taught it to her, unlike others.

She wanted to used discharge next since she was within range, but he quickly offset it by redirecting the lightning. Since none of the four techniques she knew were able to touch a hair on him, she began spamming speed edge again and again aiming at sternum,kidneys ,shoulders, appendix and knees , but soon she had emptied her entire spirit force reserves, without causing any damage.

Exhausted physically and mentally, she collapsed again on the traininh ground, ignoring all pretenses of etiquette. Looking at Hong , who hadn't even let out a drop of sweat she couldn't help feeling helpless.

"Well, you have managed to impress me" Hong replied after looking at his only student. She had the talent and mentality to be a strong martial artist. Which she had proven throughout their entire spar.

Coughing to draw attention of Xiao Ning'er he began telling her faults ." Don't use the rumbling fist as a main attack much because it lacks destructive power, instead use it as a distraction and use the sharp edge after it. And don't use discharge to attack too long because it uses a lot of energy, instead follow it up with a speed edge or a sharp edge. You need to have a little battle experience, but other than that, you did fine" he summarised bringing up a smile in her face.

"And since you managed to impress me, this is yours from today onwards." He said while extending the three foot long box he had brought with him. After which he turned around and left back to his residential area. But not before turning back and informing" your friend is here. I would recommend cleaning up a little."

Xiao Ning'er's head whipped around to see Ye Ziyun standing at the entrance. She quickly grabbed the box and called for a servant to entertain Ziyun while she cleaned herself.

After a thoroughly cleaning bath, she went to meet Ye Ziyun.

"Did something happen?" She asked worried. But relaxed soon after.

"No nothing happened, i just wanted to spend some time together like we used to"

"So , how long have you beem learning to fight from him." Ye Ziyun was also curious, since she hadn't known that her friend was so strong .

Embarrassed , Xiao Ning'er asked "Um, about that, how long were you there?"

"From the beginning"

"Oh, I guess you saw everything?" She was embarrassed, her friend had seen her being beaten one-sided

"Yeah and you were awesome" Ziyun said not caring about her embarrassed tone. Even though Ning'er was around the same level as she was, the strength and speed she had displayed was leagues above her own.

A small blush appeared on her face when she registered the compliment

"Thank you, I'm still learning " she replied meekly.

"So how long have you been learning"

"For about two weeks."

Conversation rolled comfortably as they grew more and more at ease.

Suddenly Ye Ziyun popped a question. "What was in that box?"

"Aaah, I forgot" Ning'er exclaimed suddenly and ran into her room before arriving back with the box. It looked like nothing special, but she knew it contained something valuable with the weight it contained.
