8 The risk

It took an hour to actually make four basins for water from the wood of another tree, the bark was as strong as metal while the interior was somewhat alright. Tyrion and Bastian took them and headed towards the lake with the map in their mind.

Ethan had already gone up the tree to see if there's anything near, fortunately, there's none. Bastian regulated his speed to match his brother's. Tyrion was in no way slow, he was also very fast but Bastian was still really fast. The weight of the basins didn't affect their movement so they reached the lake in half an hour with no obstacles on the way.

However, when they reached they didn't just walk up to the water, they remembered that danger lurks all around. Bastian looked at the ground searching for pebbles but found none so he just stared at the lake looking for any signs.

Tyrion saw a tree nearby that had its roots out and headed towards it and used his claws to cut a piece which he then used as a testing stone that stirred nothing abnormal in the lake so they finally advanced still cautious.

The tension was at its utmost when facing the water when Bastian slowly bent down and put the bucket in the water and pulled then repeating the process 4 times as fast as possible. They retreated after and used that water to wash themselves and their clothes and of course drink to satisfy their thirst.

They noticed that the water was sweet and tasty not plain, it seemed to have a refreshing effect that removed fatigue.

The second time, was the same thing however when filling the last one, Bastian looked inside the water and saw what looked like a blue fruit! He remembered the first one they ate and he almost jumped but managed to hold back.

" What do we do, do we really give it up," He asked

" I really don't want to but the least we can do is have you wrapped in Ethan's chains so when something unexpected happens I can pull you out so we wait till the next…." Tyrion didn't finish when the surface of the water suddenly had waves upon it as what seemed like a snake which wasn't huge but still a bit big emerged.

The most surprising thing about it was that purple lightning was crackling all over its blue skin. Its scales had some sort of patterns like tattoos and when it opened its mouth it had no teeth.

The two didn't have the time to appreciate this view because as soon as they saw the lightning they were already dashing away and for some reason, the snake didn't follow but kept screaming. This, however, didn't stop it from launching a lightning bolt at them and if not for their fast reaction they would have been toast.

The two ran faster and faster and managed to get back in less than the half hour they took before. Just as they got in they saw an excited Ethan pacing around.

" What happened?" asked Bastian.

" Around 7 km from here, on a tree there's a bird nest and there are 2 eggs in it!" He replied somewhat happy.

" And?" Tyrion asked still confused, how is it that a beast is in the proximity is good news.

" The eggs usually have a lot of nutrients, they are the beginning of the life of a beast. A beast here would definitely help us get stronger. That was what I first thought of, then I remembered your talent!"

Bastian and Tyrion's eyes grew wide then excited as well!! Only Elora was confused as she didn't know what was going on! Tyrion back at earth was able to domesticate even a tiger and all kinds of animals showed affection towards him, if the same remained here then they would be able to tame a flying beast of this world.

" If we succeed, we can have a very huge advantage!!"

" However, there are two problems, first is that even if we get them we can only fit one in here and I'm afraid the smell might lead the mother here instead. Second, if it hatches we'll need to feed it."

" Perhaps, we can find a beast to lure the mother away by putting one egg in its territory so the mother would think the beast already ate the other one!" Ethan continued.

" We know a way!" Bastian and Tyrion replied instantly as they recalled the snake at the lake.

" But, what kind of beast is this bird, we met a snake that can shoot lightning bolts so the bird has to be able to hold out enough for us to escape!" Tyrion said.

" It's a bird about 5 meters in height and 20 meters long when it flies its white feathers light up with fire and turn red." He answered.

"Even if we gauge their strength, the risk is still there," Tyrion replied.

" You gotta risk it to get the biscuit!" Bastian said.

" First we study its pattern when it leaves? How long does it take to come back? Does it go far or stay near?"

" Yeah! For 2 days at least."

"What about the water?" asked Ethan.

" Here it is! Drink first it removes the fatigue and refreshes the body!" Said Bastian, he then pushed the two buckets forward.

" Sure enough, everything here is strange!" Ethan nodded.

" 3 buckets should be enough for you to drink and wash yourselves and clothes! Keep one as a reserve." Said Bastian while looking at Ethan and Elora.

" But…" Elora who had been keeping silent wanted to protest;

" what?" They asked confused.

"I Can't take off my clothes in front of you!" she said

" Well go outside!" they replied naturally

" What?"

" Do you expect us to let you shower here? are you a bit coco?" Said Bastian as he pointed to his head with his finger and made a circling motion.

" You!! But I'm a girl?"

" So? this isn't Earth and you don't need to concern yourself with us! We wouldn't want to look at your flat chest." Continued Bastian making his brothers chuckle.

" You're the flat chest! your chest is a scrubber!" she fumed.

" Haha! don't worry, perhaps after eating that fruit they'll grow!" Ethan teased as well when a pfft sound came out of Tyrion's mouth who turned away trying to hold in his laughter.

" You guys are bullies, I'm going out, don't you dare look!" Elora warned.

" At least your ass is OK!" Bastian said when she turned around.

" You!!!!!!" She covered her butt and got out to wash first after picking up a bucket which was very big and heavy but she was still able to lift with one hand. The fruit affected her as well.

"Hey Ethan, back at the lake we saw another kind of fruit," Tyrion said.

" Oh! What was it like?" he asked.

" It was blue, and had a weird shape and veins popped like a bodybuilder." described Bastian.

" We were hoping to let Bastian dive in grab it while I pull him with your chains," Tyrion said the plan.

" So now we steal the two eggs, put one in this lair, plant the other one beside the lake, grab the fruit and fall back."

" Yeah! easier said than done! But we still have not figured out how to solve the food problem." Bastian reminded.

" For today it's fine!" Ethan stuck his chest with pride.

" What is it?" the other two were surprised

" Watch this!" Ethan grabbed a feather bigger than his arm and struck at the ground like if he was lighting a match and the feather actually burned and transformed into fire.

" Woah! We'll be able to use this to cook the heart!" They said.

" Yes, I found four of them on the ground next to the tree with the nest, at first I didn't pay attention then I noticed one falling but it fell alongside the bark of the tree and the friction caused it to light up so I tried it and it worked so I brought them over."

" Good job!"

" Hehe! Now I'll go wash, you can cook it for us!" Said Ethan to Elora who entered the lair, she was very fast apparently afraid of being peeked at or just not wanting to stay naked out in the open.

" OK, but this water is very magical, all my tiredness is gone!" She complimented the water and apparently already knew about the feathers as she had already picked one up and went outside to prepare.

" Hehe! watch this, I bet she'll lose her attention while cooking." Ethan said with a grin.

" Don't tell me you plan to…" Bastian said then grinned as well.

" Hahaha!" Tyrion laughed and went outside to watch the fun.

Ethan took his bucket and went outside, he slowly undressed leaving butt naked before calling to Elora!

" Elora, Get me a feather I want to warm the water."

" Okay! Waaaaaah!" She answered then turned around to see a butt-ass naked Ethan facing her with his naked ass.

"Pervert!" She covered her eyes and rushed in, picked up a feather threw it and didn't go back outside until Ethan and his brothers stopped laughing and told her he was done.
