Sudden change

"We need to leave now!" Ethan stressed once again.

" Wait!" Tyrion said as he put the heart and the head of the beast aside then dragged it all around next to all the people around as the blood kept on gushing out all over the place.

The girl watched this and understood their intention. She suddenly realized she was way out of her league and her mischievous side was of no use here. She looked at them with genuine tears and asked:

" Please take me with you! I'll do whatever you say." She begged, she saw what they were capable of, even though she didn't understand how or why, she knew they were her only chance of survival.

The trio didn't bother to look at her much less listen to her at this time. Bastian had gotten a coat off someone still lying unconscious and wrapped the fruits there while Ethan did the same for the heart. They knew they had to give up the head as there was no way to hide and it would only bring trouble with the smell of blood.

" Waaaah! Please don't leave me alone! I don't want to die!" She cried, she was still a young girl afraid for her life. Some boys in her place would have already shit her pants but she was still strong enough mentally.

" What can you do?" Tyrion asked as they started to run.

" I can do anything" She said as she tried to catch up.

" Can you kill that beast?" He asked

" No…" She answered as her face paled.

"Then bye!" They said as they sped up.

" Wait! I can assist you! I never forget anything!" She said her talent.

" Anything?" asked Ethan with bright eyes.

" Yes! I have a photographic memory." She nodded.

" Em! That might have good back at Earth but still useless here." Bastian said.

"I can .. I can … ac…" She didn't want to complete it and stopped in her tracks seemingly accepting her fate.

" eeeeh! Let's go" Tyrion said while Ethan followed. Only Bastian looked back at her. He then dashed and picked her up, threw her on his shoulder and followed his brothers.

" I see." The two didn't say anything and just kept on going.

The girl on the other hand started checking out Bastian, his long brown hair was hitting her face and she looked mesmerized by his golden eyes. Tears welled up but she kept her silence and gratitude inside her heart. She didn't hate the other two because in their situation she would have done the same so she was in no position to judge.

They kept on going,through the forest for 2 hours before they stopped. They never let their guard down and always paid attention to their surroundings. When they have come across what looked like a very thick tree. They stopped.

" Night is going to fall." Ethan said as he looked at the sky whose light was fading away.

" We need a shelter, Tyrion can u dig through this tree?" Bastian asked as he finally put down the girl whose name was still unknown.

She looked at his sweat rolling down while his brothers seemed okay and knew that it was because of her. This did not lessen her shock, She knew the gravity here was stronger, normally just the feat of running for 2 hours was amazing but in this gravity and having extra weight was a miracle.

" Depends on its bark but I'll try." Tyrion nodded as he headed towards the tree, he focused on his claws and started to dig he met some resistance at first as it took more than one hundred strike to break the bark in one place before moving to the other. After that it was easier thanks to the help of Ethan and Bastian.

The girl was smart as she removed all the fallen bark and other parts away making their work much easier much faster.

" Finally, I think this is enough" Tyrion said as he looked at the carved tree that now seemed as if someone had taken a bite out of it.

" Let's move those fallen parts to close down the hole." Ethan said

After another half an hour, all was set and done. The now group of four, was sitting in the darkness when the girl took out her phone and used it as a flashlight to light up their "room". A rumbling sound came from their stomachs, so they turned around and grabbed those three fruits and just as they were about to eat them, another rumbling was heard making them look at each other.

" I'm sorry! You can eat them! I have no right to them." She said hurriedly so that they won't think of her as a burden.

" Here!" The trio each took a small part of the now peeled fruit which resembled a yellow big peach and handed it over. She now had what seemed like three peaches which were enough to satiate her hunger for now.

" Thank you!" She lowered her head and thanked them slowly nibbing at the fruit.

" Damn, this is so good!" Bastian said as he enjoyed the taste of the fruit.

" True! It has so much nutrients and power!" Ethan was very surprised while Tyrion was already at his third bite, a hungry leader was something they used to tease him.

By the time they all finished, they felt heat spreading throughout their bodies causing their skin to redden and their chest to somewhat expand and retreat. They groaned in pain, the girl was also in pain that she was hard to endure as she screamed the loudest but they were in much more pain since they ate more.

Hours of the silent night where inside a tree still came the sounds of pain and breath catching. Beside the sound was a filthy smell coming from the bodies of the four that had a black sticky liquid covering it.

" What the hell is this stuff!" She was the first to go through it since she ate much less and was disgusted by this.

" I think they are the impurities that our bodies gathered deep in our core over the years." Ethan said.

" So what does it mean?"

" It means our bodies are now like newborn babies with new potential to exploit." Ethan said excited not bothered by the smell one bit.

" However that pain was really unbearable, I really don't wanna go through it again." Tyrion said and he had the strongest body.

" Still we'd still go through it if we knew this result and we would repeat again if it's possible to further deepen our potential." Bastian spoke their true thoughts while Tyrion smiled.

" What were those fruits?" asked the girl.

" I don't know but I picked the brightest out of all. They were also protected by throned leaves so I thought they were special." Bastian said.

" Well done!" Said Ethan

" I wish I had a lab so I could run some test and see if it's possible to duplicate it, I might even find something entirely new." His saliva almost dripped.

" There he goes again."

"By the way what's your name?" Tyrion asked the girl.

" I'm Elora! May I ask yours?" She asked with uncertainty

" I'm Bastian and these are my brothers Tyrion and Ethan." Bastian answered.

"Who were you back at earth?" Ethan asked.

" I was a student, picked for a special architecture program"

" You know how to design buildings?"

" I know how to design anything."

"That's useful." Bastian said making even his two brothers confused.

" When I got to the top of the tree. All I saw was greenery all over and probably what seemed like a river. If I had to guess it'll take weeks to get out of this forest if we just run . If we count the beast and taking precaution at least more than 1 month is a rough estimate."

" Emm, It seems we need to scout out the surroundings, I suggest we keep this as a temporary base and when we get enough understanding of this forest we can then decide how to proceed." Tyrion said

" We need to get rid of this filth when it's dawn!" Bastian said after he sniffed himself.

" We should take a rest as well, we don't know what we might be facing tomorrow." Ethan said

" Can I say something?" Elora said

" Go ahead"

" If we want to set base here, this small space will be barely enough, and we can't repeat the same process or the tree will fall down."

" So what do you suggest?"

" Dig upwards and at the same time create some space for more air. This is also a very good place since no one would think that we're living inside a tree and we'll be protected from predators." Elora elaborated

" Even more so, if someone ends up inside we can close the hole we'll create upwards so when they look up they'll only see the wood we're looking at. I can create a rough plan by tomorrow but I don't know who's good enough with his hand to make the required things."

" That'll be me!" Bastian said as he was used to creating weapons so making something out of wood didn't seem like a hard task.

" Okay that'll be it for tonight! Go sleep and we'll take shifts guarding this place should there be an accident." Tyrion

" Sounds good" Said Ethan who already laid down while the other two followed.
