14 Who is Grandma?

"Oh gosh I am so excited, I wonder when was the last time my grandma had watermelon." Yuki was very happy, she knew her grandma would really enjoy all the food she'd be taking her. She quickly finished packing and headed towards the main gate. When she arrived she was stunned at what she saw. "Horses!" she exclaimed. Neil was finishing up putting a saddle on one of them. "Yes I thought you might like them, also we would get there faster than walking. I really doubt Seth would want me to carry you there he can be a bit jealous." "I haven't seen one since I was a kid! Oh, but what will the villagers say if they saw us riding them?" "Don't worry we will hitch them somewhere hidden right outside the village and walk the rest of the way there." "Haha! I am so excited! I've never ridden a horse though." She looked at the animal a little concerned. "Don't worry it's very easy, besides animals can understand us demons, so I've asked him to be gentle." "Wow seriously? That's amazing, is there something you guys can't do? Geez." Neil simply laughed "Ready?" "Yes!" Then they both got on the horses and made their way to the village.

A few miles past the castle, where no human was allowed Seth made his way to a cave inside the edge of a mountain. "I am here, I'd like to speak to you, please come out." Seth looked around. The darkness of the cave was no problem to him, if anything it was almost like he saw better in the dark. Out of the depths of the cave emerged a giant serpent like creature. "Your Majesty, how may I be of service?" "Do you have any eggs at the moment?" "Yes my lord, do you wish to take them all?" "No, I will bring a human girl and she will chose one." "A human girl!? My Lord if I may, do you really wish to entrust one of our lives to a human?" "She needs a loyal guard by her side, in case I'm not there to protect her." The serpent looked intently at Seth "..Is she that important to you my lord?" Seth remained quiet and looked the serpent in the eye, his silence gave it the answer. "In that case you have my support, but I do wish that you please do everything according to tradition." "Yes I will follow the tradition, but there are some things I need to take care of first." "As you wish your Majesty." Seth then turned to leave and the creature bowed to him until he was out of sight. Seth then proceeded to make his own way to the village.

"Okay, this should be a good distance." Neil and Yuki had just arrived at the outskirts of the village and where hitching the horses. It took them only 10 minutes of walking to arrive at her grandma's house. She knocked on the door. "Who is it?" "Its me grandma, Yuki." "Oh my! You are back so soon, it's only been a day." "Haha well about that.. I brought you something, look!" Yuki opened the bag that she was carrying and showed her all the food. Her grandma's eyes went wide in shock. "Yuki dear, where did you get all this!? You aren't robbing people are you?" "What!? No! I'd never do that." She had to come up with yet another excuse. "It's how I get payed at my new job." Neil was waiting outside but could hear everything, he shook his head and mentally smacked his face. All the lies, they were never good. He then decided to give them some privacy and went down the road to wait for Seth. "Well that makes me very happy honey, oh that's right your friend Shiro is here." "What-" "Hey there Yuki." He made his way to her and embraced her. She instantly pushed him away. "Let go, whatever you doing?! Grandma, he is not my friend! Don't you remember what he did?" "Oh well he said it was some demon disguised as him." Yuki glared at Shiro, the nerve of this guy.

Outside Seth had arrived. "Yo! So? How was your meeting?" asked Neil still curious. "That's none of your business, where's Yuki?" "Inside with her grandma." "Let go of me!" They both heard Yuki scream and in seconds Seth was inside the house. What he saw made his blood boil, Shiro embracing Yuki trying to force a kiss on her. "Let her go." He stated calmly but there was force and intimidation on his voice. "Wow you are still around? I thought you'd grown tired of her, after all she's human. She can't possibly please or entertain you as much as a demon woman." Shiro spat back. "I'll say this one more time, let her go or I'll rip your head off."

"Now now, Yuki I didn't know you had two boys fighting over you, you must really be popular. I'm so happy!" The lady interrupted "No grandma Shiro isn't my boyfriend-" "And he is?" asked Shiro. "I am." Seth answered. Yuki didn't confirm nor deny it. "Oh I see, well he is way better looking-" "Grandma! You've known me forever!.. He's a Demon he is trying to take Yuki away!" Shiro was trying to get her to hate Seth and not allow Yuki to be with him. "Shut up Shiro!" Yuki was doing everything to not get her involved and Shiro just blew it. "A Demon?" She looked carefully at Seth who was still glaring at Shiro. "Hmm yes, yes he is." Shock filled the room. "It looks like the young man behind him is also a Demon, how didn't I notice before." "H- How do you know?" Shiro asked, extremely confused by her calm reaction. "Well they are impossibly perfect, looks and then there's that presence. Only non human beings can give off such an aura." "That's right they aren't human, we can't let them take Yuki." She turned and looked at Yuki who was still struggling to get free from Shiro. "Shiro, I think it's best you let her go." She said. "What?!" Shiro couldn't believe it. "Can't you see how much they want to be with each other? I too was once in love, I know what it's like." Yuki became really embarrassed listening to her grandma pretty much say Seth and her loved each other. She wasn't even sure about what she felt for the guy yet. The lady then slowly walked to Seth. Seth's attention was now on her, he too was surprised by her reaction and her words. "Forgive my curiosity but.. are you by any chance Prince Seth?" Everyone's eyes went wide with shock, even Shiro released Yuki from shock. Yuki wasted no time running over to Seth. He embraced her and held her by his side. He then looked back at the lady who was waiting for his response. "Yes, I am" "Grandma...how do you know him?" "Well he might not remember me, but I'll never forget the Prince."
