21 Enemy In The Shadows

She didn't know how long she had been asleep for, but as soon as she opened her eyes she found herself in Seth's room. She shifted and felt the egg next to her move. Immediately tears fell down her face. "Oh I am so sorry! I left you all alone, please forgive me." Yuki began talking to the egg like it could hear her. "I lost the only person I called family and I don't know what to do. I feel all this anger inside me, anger that I've never felt before. Its not like me. I actually wish the culprit would die, yet I know nothing good ever comes from that." Almost like the egg listened to her it pulsated in response. It began emitting a warm light and heat that put Yuki at ease. Outside, the guards had heard her wake up and notified Seth as they were told to. Seth made his way to his room to see her. When he walked in their eyes met in an instant. He made his way to her and sat on the bed next to her. She was hugging the guardian egg. "It moved and glowed just a few minutes ago." She told him. He could tell she had been crying and was trying to avoid the subject. He didn't press the issue, if she didn't want to talk about it he wouldn't he wouldn't force it on her. It didn't change his plans in the matter.

He held her in his arms. "I am going out. I don't know when I'll be back exactly... I would like for you to stay here until I return." She looked up at him, she knew what he meant. "Seth.. I am sorry." Seth looked at her questionably. "Sorry for what? You have nothing to apologize to me about." He said as he hugged her again. "I apologize because... I now understand how you have felt all these years. I was maybe too young and scared to feel rage when my father was murdered all those years ago. But you weren't, you were old enough to feel all the hate and that is why you sought out revenge. But now I can understand because that is how I feel right now. The only difference is and will always be that you have the power and means to get revenge and I don't. I am nothing but a weak crybaby who can't even protect her loved ones." Seth remained quiet. "Revenge isn't the answer, I learned that too late. You helped me see that. However what he did can't go unpunished." He said. Yuki buried her face on his chest. "If I were you and had your powers I too would of probably gone down the same road. But you are right revenge is not the answer." "I won't let any more innocent people get hurt cause of him." He got up with her in his arms and stood her on the floor. "I will be back soon, if you need anything let any staff in the castle know. Abby is staying here with you as well, to keep you company." She looked up at him and nodded. He then brought her close to him and placed a soft kiss on her lips. He broke the kiss and looked at the egg on the bed. "You better not fail her if she needs you." He told the egg, feeling a little silly talking to it. "I'll get going then." "Please be safe!" Then he was gone. She brought a hand to her lips, still feeling the warmth of his, and wishing him a safe endeavor.

Saria had made her way to the south village, this one was the only village that was by the sea. People of this village obtained most of their food from fishing, but that was also limited by a net that set the boundaries to go out into the open ocean. The humans eventually fished out all the fish within the net and therefore ran out of food quick. It was one of the most affected villages when it came down to poverty and hunger. It was also the furthest away from the castle which was located in the north. She made her way to this village for that reason and because there was someone she was looking for. She eventually arrived at a very run down shed in the outskirts of the village. She knocked. "Hey old man, its Saria, open up." She waited and there was no response. "Come on I know you are in there, open up." The door slowly creaked opened and a man spoke form the darkness. "Well if it isn't little Saria, well then come in." Saria stepped inside and coughed a little at all the dust flying around. "What brings you to see me after all these years?" He asked her, her eyes soon adjusted to the darkness and she could see a man sitting in the shadows. "Master Kosuke, I am here because I need your help." She knelt down before him. "What have you gotten yourself into now Saria?" "I have messed up and Seth is looking for me. He wants to kill me." The older man got up and made his way to her. In no time he picked her up from her hair and Saria yelled in pain. Although he was old he wasn't weak. "What did you say? All these years avoiding him, waiting, planning, and you go and ruin it! I told you to not let your stupid emotions get the best of you!" He slapped her. "Forgive me master! but please listen to me, this can still work out. It has to be sooner that what we had planned but we can still kill him." He tossed her to the ground.

Saria began explaining how she was able to manipulate Shiro into formulating the attack on the demons and how all the humans seemed to be in favor of helping him. "Master you can kill him while he is distracted with that Shiro guy. He will never see you coming. I can send word to the demons, many of them are on your side. They fear Seth has grown soft towards humans ever since he found that human girl." "So he finally found her? Took him long enough. So everything is still going according to plan, your stupidity just sped things up. I wasn't counting on this but I am prepared. Guess we have no choice, its now or never. Get word out to the demons, I'll make sure the humans don't back down." Saria bowed and made her way to demon territory. Kosuke made his way to the north village where everything was being planned out, since the castle was closest to it. In less than a day he found himself in front of the academy. "Sorry sir but only authorized people are allowed in here." Said one of the students. "Well that is alright, would you mind getting your teacher for me then?" Kosuke asked in a nice tone of voice. "Sorry sir but Mr. Ren is very busy planning our attack." "Well can you tell him that an old friend is here to help." The student seemed reluctant but eventually went to go get Mr. Ren. "Mr. Ren, there's this old guy looking for you, says he is an old friend of yours and is here to help." "An old friend?.. DON'T TELL ME!" Mr. Ren ran out to meet the man in a heartbeat.

"Well well Ren, you've grown a lot. Long time no see my friend." Ren's eyes filled with tears. "Master!" Kosuke looked at Ren and smiled. "Where have you been master!? I looked for you for so many years, I thought you were dead." "I can't die that easily apparently, I heard what is happening and I am here to help in any way I can." Students began approaching the scene to see what the commotion was all about. "Mr. Ren who is this man?" a student asked. Ren turned to them with a smile on his face. "He is my Master, the one I spoke of. The master of all the masters." Everyone was amazed and looked to Kosuke with admiration. "I am here to help, I am here to say that standing up to those demons is the right decision! We can no longer abide by their rules. We are suffering and staving. We must take back what is rightfully ours, this land, this world!" The crowd erupted in cheers and everyone gained even more motivation to fight the demons and go through with their plan. Those who were scared gained confidence and felt that having Kosuke there, someone who knew how to kill demons would assure them victory.
