15 Chapter 15

Time passed as Cheren's shift was over. He let out a yawn, and his eyelid grew heavy.

"You can head back home. I will close up shop." Ms.Lara suggested.

Cheren's eye opened with joy, as he started to get head home. He picked up his car keys and kissed Lucy Jr goodbye. As he got into the car, Cheren waved as Ms. Lara watched him leave. Cheren drove off to picked up his brother as work. Chrom waited in front of the cafe shop When Chrom spotted him in the distance in his car.

"Good afternoon," Chorm stated as he got into the car.

"Good evening to you, Chrom." Cheren smiled.

Chrom strapped his seat belt on and smiled back at Cheren. Cheren started to drive in the middle of the way home. Chrom told Cheren to stop. Cheren did so and titled his head towards Chrom. Chrom got out of the car, Cheren watched him as he followed behind.

"Why are we stopping?" Cheren asked.

"Get the keys. We have someplace to explore." Chrom stated.

Cheren gave out a deep sigh as he got in his car and turned the motor off. He locked the car before leaving it at the edge of the forest. Chrom walked ahead of Chrom, as Cheren followed. Cheren did not want to explore and wanted to rest at home. Chorm kept going, he knew where they were going. They carried on for minutes till the sound of the rush of water filled their thoughts.

"A waterfall, near a town." Chreren wondered.

"Yeah, it's what you think. "Cheren Confirmed.

Cheren kept following until the sound of rushing water was louder as he got closer. Cheren grew worried as he followed Chrom. Chrom kept an open mind of what's ahead. As they made it to the waterfall. The sun was setting in the distance as the water reflected the light.

"So this was what you wanted to show me. A waterfall." Cheren frowned.

"Not really, A core memory of mine. I remember this place. It's clear in my mind." Chrom justified.

"So what can you remember?" Cheren questioned.

Chrom was silent till answered "A memory of being here when I was young. Running something, from the war, not sure. I can only think of fear and pain in my chest. I held something in my arms, something I need to protect."

Cheren thought for a bit as he pulled out his phone. He took a picture and send it to an online document.

"Alright, so we have more from what you can remember. You remember Arson from a lab the same goes with his siblings." Cheren assumed.

"Yeah Arson, I mean Aust told her got his memories erased before they did those experiments to him. I got half of my memories erased. At the time I have escaped at well same goes for ruins of the lab. I was the next and last experiment of that lab."Chrom Acknowledged.

Cheren nodded "Everything seems to connect there, but this new memory. How old do you think you were in that memory?"

"Young, I am not sure how I can make things clear," Chrom admitted.

"Young, That does not help very much. I can only say you were around eight to ten. Somewhere in between." Cheren pondered.

"Well, I do remember the recent one, Like the lab one. I was in a base in sector 30." Chrom pointed out.

"I know about that, It's written in the document, Chrom. What does not make sense is this gap between that. You got here then you got to the lab, How is the question."Cheren stated.

Chrom walked on the edge of the lake as he thought. Cheren watches him as he looked at his phone and edit his grammar. Cheren and Chrom stood around the lake for a while at the sun went to sleep. The moon have raised up to light upon them. Chrom's phone rang, he was chewed off by Rostuo and Mana. Cheren and Chrom start to run for the car. Once they reach the car they got in drove home. Chrom stood on the phone with Rostuo. Cheren drove as fast as he can.

"Yeah, we are getting home right away. Something came up, I am sorry It won't happen again." Chrom ended.

"So what did he say?" Cheren trembled.

"They were locked out of the house. We forgot to pick them up from school. They are made. Mana got an A-plus on her math quiz." Chrom stated.

"Awe good for her." Cheren trembled.

"That is not important", they are enraged at us," Chrom warned.

Cheren kept driving with fear. Chrom bit his lip on the way home. As they made it home and parked in the drive. They spotted Mana and Rostuo outside of the house. Chrom and Cheren got out of the car tensed up.

"I do wonder what made you neglect us." Mana barked.

"Well, something very serious." Cheren grinned as he opened the door.

Mana and Rostuo rushed into the house with, Chrom and Cheren following behind.

"How are we going to explain this is Rostuo," Cheren asked.

"Well tell him. Rostuo I will share a secret about me. I suffer from memory loss." Chrom confessed.

"I know, You forget things very easily. I have watched you work in the cafe. You forget something very important at the time." Rostuo stated.

"Oh, that was easy than I thought."Chrom smiled.

Cheren surprised walked to the kitchen to make tea. Chrom took off his shoes and changed into comfy pajamas.

"Hey, where is your onesies," Rostuo asked.

"In the wash." Chrom smiled.

"So you will wear it right away as soon as you get out of the dryer?" Rostuo asked.

Chrom nodded with a smile. Rostuo started to laugh as he left for his bedroom. Mana yawned as she wanted the bathroom to get ready. Chrom turned on the tv and watch a show. Cheren came into the room to serve Chrom tea. Chrom picked up the tea and took a sip. Cheren left to his room and came back in comfy pajamas. Cheren picked up his cup of tea and drank it.
