Dark City's destruction

It's not everyday you can look out your window and see a bunch of shambling zombies as well as other types of undead outside. It's not every day you can see spiders the size of cars going around eating people alive or biting them in two with their fangs. But the worst thing for this citizens of the Dark City to discover was the fact that the ground and even buildings around them are slowly turning black. The lights within homes and even candles have their lights turning green. The sky above the Dark City is starting to turn dark with flickers of energy and lightning running through.

This day is a day that will be remembered as the first of many invasions of the undead. It's also to be remembered for the horror that its citizens went through. And currently the mayor of the Dark City, Mr. Bidon, is screaming at pretty much anybody he can to fight back against the horde.

"GET THE MILITARY ON THE PHONE NOW AND TELL THEM TO SEND HELP! AND YOU, GIVE ME A REPORT ON WHY THE POLICE HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO MY PERSONAL PROTECTION ORDER!"

But try as he might nobody will listen to him as everybody is preparing to run away.

CRAAAAAAASASHHHH...BOOOOM

Not far away from the mayor's office/home one of the many skyscrapers within the city fell over along with all the people inside and all of the undead monstrosities on the outside.

As soon as the building it's the ground everybody that's in that office stops and stares out the window at it. And as they stare out the window they see that the fallen building as well as the buildings around it are starting to turn black like obsidian. Even worse, as they look around inside the office they notice the ground ceiling and even walls around them are starting to turn into this obsidian like material as they start to hear shrieks and moans and rattles coming from outside and getting closer. When, with a sound of shattering the windows explode inwards with zombies and skeletons crawling through them and towards the people.

With screams of fright the mayor is the first one to run in the opposite direction and seeing him run the rest follow in a stampede. Many of the people in the office are shoving and pushing each other trying to get ahead or push others behind them while many trip and are stepped on by the others making their escape. As they escaped they run faster as they can hear the screams of their colleagues as they die.

But what they don't see is that as soon as the colleagues die the undead leave the bodies alone as the bodies start to rise again as more undead. The siege of the city only started a couple hours ago but already it's in the process of being completely destroyed. So many of it citizens are being transformed into more undead. And as this is all happening the one responsible, Malorn, is sitting back in his boss room on his throne watching.

"Hmmm, I don't have any way to do this right now do I? Well shit, as much as I like the human form even if it is spiritual this sounds like it would be a better option as it would possibly eliminate any real weakness I have in the first place. Currently my main weakness is the fact that my form is weak to light but if I become the land itself where light itself starts to become weaker the abilities I gain will likely be greatly overpowered in comparison to what I have now."

And so Malorn decides to take this potential new form when he can in the future so as to not be a creature anymore but to become the land itself and eventually the world and eventually the universe. He doesn't realize it yet but the potential to become a universe means that he should become the true ruler of all death across the multiverse. But that shall be a story for the future.
