2 Chapter 2: Allison

"So, what do you intend to do about Alcatraz?" Hades asked.

He was lying naked on his stomach, his arms were cross on a pillow next to Dane, which exposed is well curved ass, which Dane actually admired. The other part that Dane really liked, was the fact that Hades had cut his hair short and died it a fire red. They had been in the Underworld for a few hours now and Dane was pretty sure Shane gave them some sort of story as to why they were not in the house. Then again, Olivia was too smart for stories; she, herself, did not like the idea of Hades screwing him. He liked it better when Olivia didn't know that part about them, but certain mates had to spill the beans. It wasn't that that caused bad blood between him and Shane, it was the attack between him and Shane before the attack on June 15th, five years ago. It was because of Shane that drunk humans beat him up when he was defenceless. The werewolf part he didn't mind, but the fact of the matter was, Dane tried to back down and Shane still attacked him; at the end of the day, Dane and Shane would probably never be friends.

"I don't know," he finally answered.

"Must have been deep in thought for you to take so long to answer," he chuckled.

Dane, of course, was also naked. Any time they were in Hades chambers, they were always naked. He was lying on his back, looking up at the ceiling and wondering how he was going to deal with Alcatraz. He raked his hand through his hair; oddly enough, he actually liked his hair the color Hades chose, though he would never admit that to Hades. He felt Hades beside him, rolling onto his back and watched him as his arms were still cross behind his head. He propped up one knee, while the other remained fully stretched out. He looked even more sexy in this position.

Dane had never had a real relationship, with anyone. He was always gay and he was a supernatural and for a time, that was abnormal. For supernaturals, once upon a time, it was unnatural to be gay, but as the twenty first century hit, things changed for all supernaturals and humans. Dane had only ever had a relationship with Hades, and as far as Hades was concerned, it was strictly slavery and sex, but that wasn't how he felt, which was weird. He felt more connected to Hades than anyone else, including his own family. At first, he thought that was because it was forced, but then he realized that no one can force you into anything and after five years, Dane realized that he actually loved the guy, and it was his own feelings and not forced ones. Once upon a time, his body betrayed him, but now, he understood why his body betrayed him; it knew that someday, Dane would have developed his own feelings towards Hades.

Dane mustered up all his bravery and nerves and decided to do something he never thought he'd do in five years. He sat up, which didn't cause Hades to flinch as it was a normal reaction that he expected from prior occasions. Dane then went onto his knees and turned his entire body in the direction of Hades. He then took the full length of Hades into his mouth, which caused Hades to sit upright in shock.

Speechless, Hades gazed at Dane as he moved his mouth up and down on his shaft. The sensation felt really good to him, but he couldn't understand why he would do this. Hades then felt a cool hand massaging his sac. No one, except his past wife had ever gotten the courage to do something like this before. He had many lovers and slaves before Dane, but none that were so brave. He wasn't sure what to think. He continued to watch as Dane picked up his pace with each movement, and his hand began to go faster on his sac, causing shivers to go down Hades spine. He felt himself getting close to bliss and he grabbed Dane's head and got him to stop as he came inside of his mouth. He then fell back, panting and trying to figure out what just happened. He felt something, no, someone laying on top of him, playing with his nipple with their finger.

"What…what was that about?" Hades breathed.

"You're always doing it to me," Dane said, casually, still playing with Hades nipple.

"That's different, it's torture."

"…no…" Dane admitted.

"Excuse me?" Hades asked, staring directly into Dane's eyes.

"It may have been at the beginning, but it's been five years."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying things are different, I'm different," he sighed, reaching between then and taking Hades penis into his hand, causing him to shiver.

"Dane," he breathed, grabbing his hand and moving it away from him, "You hate me, remember."

"I don't and it's your fault," Dane growled, pulling his hand out of Hades.

"My fault?"

"Yes!"

"My fault for you enjoying sex?"

"Your fault for me being in love with you!" Dane hissed.

Realizing his mistake, Dane jumped off of Hades and clothed himself. He then tried to leave, but smacked into Hades chest as he flashed himself in front of him. He tried to go around Hades, but Hades blocked him.

"What did you say?" Hades asked, clearly baffled.

"Nothing! It was nothing! Now let me by!" Dane snapped.

"Answer me!" Hades hissed, causing the mark on Dane's hand to burn.

"I said I'm in love with you, alright!" Dane confessed, falling to his knees as tears streamed down his cheeks.

"This is the second time in a few hours you've cried in front of me," Hades sighed, kneeling down beside him, "And what you're crying over right now, is not a bad thing."

"I'm a slave to a man I'm in love with, what's there not to cry about?" he breathed, trying to control his tears.

"How's that bad?"

"Seriously?"

"Part of that mark allows you to come and go from the Underworld as you please, and I'm not that naïve Dane. I knew you were in love with me for a while now, I just can't force you to admit your own feelings. That is up to you to decide when you want to admit them."

"Y..you knew?" Dane sniffed, looking into Hades eyes.

"I'm not naïve," Hades repeated, "And the feelings mutual."

"Mutual?"

"I fell in love with you the day we met. Yeah, I was pissed someone summoned Alcatraz, but when I met who did it, my feelings changed," Hades said, quietly.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"At the time, you were naïve and misunderstood many things."

"So, that's why you never painfully tortured me, just sexually."

"Exactly. Unlike Alcatraz, I don't want to leave a mark on someone I love."

"Unlike?" Dane asked confused.

"Alcatraz was in love once. He fell in love with a mortal, but because of him being a death demon, he couldn't be with her. He begged me to hide his identity, which I did and he went to see the girl he fell for. When he returned, he was covered in human blood."

"What happened?"

"Well, what he told me, she rejected him even though he looked human and not a terrifying being. He tried to convince her, but she screamed at him and the townspeople came out. She claimed that he tried to rape her, and that caused the townspeople to attack Alcatraz. He broke the spell I put on him and destroyed the town. He came back and told me and when he did, I told him he needed to stay in the Underworld. He didn't like that much and ran off. He destroyed several other villages before the pantheon and I imprisoned him," Hades said, lifting Dane in his arms and sitting him on the bed.

"Alcatraz doesn't like being told what to do," Dane admitted.

"This is true."

"That means that the stories about him were true? I had no idea or I would have avoided summoning him."

"Yes, they are," Hades said standing up and scratching his head.

"What?"

"Well, every mortal or supernatural that is wronging killed is reborn later in life. There is a chance that this girl he fell for, may have been reborn."

"But was she wrongfully killed?"

"Yes. She told Alcatraz no and he wouldn't accept it, so she did the only thing she thought would save her from a 'human' man. If we find the reincarnated version of her, there might be a chance to defeat Alcatraz by using the girl as bait."

"Would she be human?"

"Not necessarily."

"How do we find someone we don't know?"

"It's not as hard as it seems. I'll be back shortly," Hades said before vanishing.

Dane lay back down on the bed and thought over what Hades had just told him. information that was good for him to have about Alcatraz, and then his mind wandered over to what he just admitted to Hades. Crap, he just told him what he swore he would never tell him and Hades admitted the same thing. Hades also said that he already knew how he felt about him.

"How did I forget that I would have to deal with you again!" a voice snapped in Dane's head.

"Alcatraz," Dane growled.

"Can't you just stay dead and stay being Hades sex toy," he growled back.

"Not when I know you're going after my family."

"Well, more just that sassy female who stabbed me five years ago."

"That's my family and I won't allow you to hurt them."

"Oh, what are you going to do about it?" Alcatraz snickered, "You could barely handle me earlier."

"You did recognize me."

"As much as you recognized me. You had to knock me out to stop me and I still managed to injure you. Oh, I also followed your scent when I came to, nice mansion your siblings have," he taunted.

"Leave them alone!"

"Oh, but it's fun to torment you, Dane. I'm surprised no one heard me enter the house. This sweet little girl is still sound asleep and doesn't even realize she's not with her family," he cooed.

"What do you want?!"

"A conference with you. One on one."

"Where?"

"Where we first met and I'm sure you remember that," he said, as the voice faded in his head.

Dane cursed as he realized that Alcatraz had swiped one of his nieces from the house. This wasn't good and the last thing he wanted was his family going after Alcatraz. He teleported himself out of the Underworld and made his was to the place that he and Alcatraz met, the warehouse. Once there, he entered and put himself on guard, as he knew that Alcatraz could come out of nowhere and attack.

"Well, well, you did come," he taunted.

Dane swung around and saw Alcatraz standing on the stage where Dane had summoned him; he was holding a very scared little girl in his hands, who looked similarly like Olivia. That got him to assume that this was her daughter.

"Let her go," Dane said calmly.

"I will, once you and I lay down some ground rules about our new game."

"Game?"

"Yes."

"I want my mommy," the girl cried.

"Don't worry. You'll be back with mommy soon enough. Your uncle and I need to talk first," Alcatraz cooed at the girl.

"Talk Alcatraz."

"You know, I only got that name because of my destruction path. My birth name is Dalziel," he said, as though talking to himself, "Never mind, yes, the rules of our game. You are the only one that can destroy me."

"I'm aware of that."

"Good. There are three rules I am going to lay out. First one, dirty play is always welcome. Second, if I succeed at killing you, then I rule the mortal world and no one can stop me as you will be dead, for good! And third, well…hmm, I guess I only had two rules."

"What is the game?"

"The game is killing each other, duh!" Alcatraz snapped, causing the girl to scream, "Wretched thing! Here!"

Alcatraz threw the girl in the air and Dane caught her. He looked around for Alcatraz and realized he vanished. He teleported him and the girl back to the mansion grounds where all the lights were on and the people inside were freaking out. Dane looked at the little girl, who had the same eyes and hair as Olivia. He could sense magic in her, but he could also sense the shifter and the werewolf. Dane walked into the house and into the living room and sat down, bouncing the girl on his knee, more to calm her than anyone else. The panicked shifters stopped moving when they realized Dane was sitting in the living room. There were running up and down the stairs, but no one entered the living room until after he arrived.

"Oh my god! Aviana!" Olivia screamed, grabbing the girl from Dane and clutching the girl in a death grip.

"What are you? Stupid?!" Shane snapped, about to slap Dane.

"Uncle save me!" the little girl squealed, stopping Shane.

"What sweetie?" Olivia asked, looking at her.

"I was in some place with some giant black thing with wings. Uncle came and save me."

"Black thing with wings?" Demon said confused.

"Alcatraz," Olivia trembled, almost dropping her daughter.

"How the hell did he get in here? How did he find us?" Jacob asked, distraught.

"He followed my scent here from the park. I'm sorry," Dane sighed, rubbing his face as though Shane had slapped him, "He wants revenge on Olivia for stabbing him, I don't think he knew which child he took, or he would have used her as leverage. He used the girl as leverage to lure me out."

"Thank you for bringing our daughter back safely," Shane said, quietly, rubbing Dane's back.

"This is all my fault. If I hadn't summoned him in the first place…" he began.

"You would have never met me," Hades said, appearing in the room, "It appears I missed some excitement."

"Yeah, Alcatraz or is it Dalziel," Dane said, confused.

"If you want birth, it's Dalziel, if you want destroyer, it's Alcatraz. I also got some information while you were saving your niece," Hades answered, sitting next to Dane.

"You mean about the reincarnation?" Dane asked.

"Reincarnation?" Demon asked, confused.

"Gods and goddesses of all pantheons have this thing. If a human or supernatural is wrongfully killed, they are reborn later on; not necessarily as they were previous, but they are given a second chance at life. Alcatraz, as I believe Alex told you a long time ago, destroyed villages," Hades explained.

"Yes, I remember that," Olivia said.

"Well, that is all true. The books don't say the reason behind it. Alcatraz or Dalziel at the time, had fallen for a human and had a spell on him hiding is true identity, so he looked like a human. The girl rejected him and he refused to accept it, so the girl did the only thing that stopped someone in that time, she screamed rape. After that, Alcatraz destroyed that village, the woman he fell in love with and many innocent humans after that," Hades continued, "I also found out that Alcatraz placed a curse on this girl when he murdered her, one that allowed her to be reborn, allowed her to have memories, and didn't allow her to die."

"That would be torture," Jacob said, softly.

"It is. This girl would be suffering from memories from a life lived long ago. It's unbearable, however, I was able to track her because of the condition. She's in a mental hospital here in the valley. Her name is Allison Parker."

"Well, we should go to her before Alcatraz finds out about this," Dane said.

"Yes. You and I will go talk with her," Hades agreed, "I put a spell on this house. Alcatraz won't bother you anymore," he said.

"What? Why would you do that for us?" Jacob asked.

"I made an agreement with Dane and I intend to keep my end of it and that means protecting his family."

"Seriously?" Shane asked, looking curiously at Dane.

"Seriously. Hades knows he has no control of me now that I'm alive," Dane answered calmly.

"So, you just throw your freedom away?!" Olivia snapped.

"It's not like that," he answered, looking down and playing with his thumbs.

"Jesus, you fell for a god," Shane snickered.

"Actually, I fell first, he just followed me," Hades corrected.

"No joke?" Shane asked.

"No joke," Hades confirmed, "So, Dane hasn't lost anything."

"Wait," Alex began, "Hades is in love with Dane and Dane is in love with Hades, do I have that right?"

"Yes, though it took five years for this dumbass to admit it," Hades chuckled, lightly backhanding Dane.

"Hey! Maybe if you said something first, it wouldn't have taken as long," Dane growled, rubbing his head as though it hurt.

"I thought my actions spoke louder than words," he answered dryly.

"All things considered, Hades has had slave lovers, but only for short periods of time and they went back to agonizing torture. Instead, Hades kept Dane away from that. Personally, I should have seen the signs myself, but I didn't," Shane laughed.

"Seriously?" Olivia asked, clearly annoyed.

"Seriously. I should have seen it from the beginning. Hades never comes up more than once to meet a condemned. He never allows that condemned treatments like Dane, allowing him to join his family's wedding, letting him walk freely in the halls of his home, things like that," Shane explained, "So, Hades is correct, his actions do speak louder than words, just no one stopped to listen."

"Well, I hate to break it to you, but we had bigger fish to fry back then and we didn't know much about Hades, only you did," Olivia growled.

"Anyway, as you mention bigger fish to fry, we currently have a situation we need to address. We can talk about love, relationships and family after Alcatraz is no longer a threat," Hades said, quieting everyone in the room.

"We have a patient to visit that may help us with Alcatraz," Dane added.

"Yes, however, it is two in the morning and I seriously doubt we can see her until after visiting hours begin. So, I suggest we all get some shut eye," Hades said.

"You and Dane are welcome to stay in one of the spare rooms," Jacob said

He and Alex exited the room and headed for bed. Surriey and Demon did the same and headed up the stairs. Olivia carried her daughter, who was now asleep in her arms, out of the living room and across the way and out of sight. Shane, Hades and Dane were all left in the living room alone.

"I still hate you. I didn't do it for you, I did it for Liv," Dane finally said.

"I know and I still despise you."

"That's funny, as I tried to back down and you wouldn't let me!" Dane snapped.

"I knew you were bad news. I just didn't realize you unleashed Alcatraz," Shane growled back.

"Kids, enough. We have bigger issues right now and you two are on the same side at the moment," Hades said, cutting in, "On a side note, however, I do agree with Dane. You should have backed off when he backed down."

"Didn't know you had a thing for him at the time," Shane growled.

"True."

On that note, Shane left the room and followed in the direction of Olivia.

"I really hate that guy," Dane growled.

"I know, but he is family and you want family protected and that includes him," Hades said standing up, "Are you wanting to sleep here, or at home?" he asked.

"Home."

The next morning, Dane went alone to the mental hospital, which was located in Vancouver. Hades figured it was a bad idea for someone like him to show up in a mental hospital and freak out all the patients. Dane didn't think it was a good idea for him either, since he hadn't talked with humans or supernaturals in five years, aside from a couple Underworld people, Hades and Shane. Since the merging of supernaturals and humans, most places were merged and therefore the mental hospital accepted both. The hospitals name said it all 'Supernatural/Human Mental Hospital'. Dane entered the hospital and walked up to the front desk.

"May I help you?" the female receptionist asked, looking up at him.

"Yes, I'm looking for a patient," he responded.

"Name?" she asked.

"Allison Parker."

The receptionist typed the name into her computer before looking up at Dane.

"Are you mental?" she asked.

"No."

"Do you have a death wish?"

"No," Dane answered, starting to get angry.

"Then why would you want to see the most psychotic patient in this hospital?"

"I'm wanting to help her," Dane growled.

She grabbed the phone and punched something in, which turned on the PA.

"Paging doctor West, paging doctor West," she said into it, then looked at Dane again, "Take a seat. Doctor West will be with you shortly.

Annoyed, Dane did as he was told and took a seat. As he waited, he looked around at all the visitors and noticed some of them were talking with patients. He wondered what caused some of these humans to be admitted to the hospital. He hoped it had nothing to do with supernaturals.

"Seeing a patient?" someone asked.

Dane looked over to see a short older man, who just sat next to him, looking at him.

"Yes."

"I am too. My son was stupid," he sighed.

"Stupid?"

"He decided it was a smart idea to bully a cat shifter, well that backfired on him and the shifter terrorized him; serves my son right for bullying someone who is different. It doesn't matter if they have animal counterparts, they are still human too," he answered.

"So, you're mad at your son and not the shifter?" Dane asked.

"Yes. The shifter did nothing wrong," he said, smiling at Dane.

"Things have changed so much," Dane sighed, and then added when the man looked at him curiously, "I kind of been living under a rock, I had no idea about the merging of supernaturals and humans."

"I see. Well, thanks to Dane and his adopted brother, everything is going well between humans and supernaturals, but you're always going to have someone like my son, doing stupid things," he chuckled, "He's getting better and clearly has learned his lesson."

"That's good. I guess he knows not to do it again."

"Yes," he answered as a tall slender man walked up to the two of them, raking his hand through his short black hair.

"Dr. West," the man said to the taller one.

"Charlie, how is your son?" he asked, looking at the older man.

"Good, getting better every day."

"That's good," he said and then turned his gaze to Dane, "My receptionist tells me you want to see Allison Parker, is that correct?" he asked, causing the older man to flinch.

"Yes. I believe my partner and I can help her. We found out that she had a spell cast on her long ago and we may be able to help break that spell," Dane explained.

"You're very brave. That woman has attacked everyone who has tried to talk to her," the older man shivered, "The poor girl is tormented everyday, but refuses help."

"Is she human or super?" Dane asked West.

"Super, though she claims she's human. She's actually an extremely rare shifter."

"Rare?"

"She's a griffin shifter. Her confinement is an extremely large room as she tends to switch unexpectedly. What kind of super are you?" West asked.

"Wolf shifter, magic user and werewolf," Dane answered, "Reason behind that, I'm a demigod and I was attacked by a werewolf a long time ago."

"Fair enough. There's no rules against it, so you don't need to explain yourself," West said, then looked at the older man, "I hope this kid can help Allison."

"So, do I," the man answered.

West gestured for Dane to followed him and he did so. He was not sure if he wanted to face a griffin shifter alone, but he really had no choice. He needed her to help defeat Alcatraz and, in the process, they may be able to saver her as well. He felt bad that this poor girl had been tortured by memories for so long.

"How old is Allison?" Dane asked, as they walked down the corridor.

"She's twenty-three, though, at the moment, she doesn't look it. She looks more like a wild beast," West sighed.

"I would believe that if she's taunted by nightmares."

"Yes. Here we are," he said, stopping in front of a steel door, "Press the red button on the other side to get out," he finished, before walking away.

Dane entered the room and saw a young-looking girl, curling her knees to her chest. Her long golden blonde hair was a mangled mess, falling over most of her face. Her face looked like she had been in multiple fights as there were dirt smudges all over it. Her eyes were a soft blue, like baby blue almost. She looked to be about five-feet tall.

"I don't need anymore doctors to help me!" she hissed.

"I'm not a doctor," Dane said, calmly, putting his hands up in defence, "I want to help you."

"How?!"

"I know more about what you're going through than any doctor."

"How?!"

"It's complicated," he said, quietly sitting on the bed next to her.

"What do you know?" she growled.

"I know that you're tormented by memories of a life you had ages ago, that a demon wrongfully ended."

"Dalziel," she said quietly.

"He's actually known as Alcatraz. After he murder you and your village, he destroyed other villages as well."

"I don't understand why I keep switching into this horrible beast," she said, as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Actually, what you're switching into isn't a beast. It's called a griffin, which in books, is quite a beautiful specie that no one thought existed. It's a rare kind of shifter," Dane explained, wiping the tears from her face, "Shifters are supernaturals, but nothing like Alcatraz. Shifters are good, most of them anyway. Your first life, you were born human, but when you were reborn, you were born into the supernatural world. Alcatraz put a nasty spell on you that makes you remember your past life, makes you never die, so you are tortured forever."

"I only rejected him; how could he do something so cruel? I was in love with someone else."

"Which is why you were reborn. People or shifters who are wrongfully killed, have another chance at life, except, you don't really have a second chance right now, because you're reliving the past and no one can help you because they don't understand what you're going through. We can break the spell, mind you, you will still have those memories, but they won't leave you having nightmares anymore," Dane explained.

"How?"

"Alcatraz has returned and I will be destroying him, however, what I need from you is to convince him, you're in love with him so he will break the spell before I destroy him, then we are both free."

"How can I do that when I'm afraid of him."

"You're a shifter now, stronger than you used to be. Allow my family and me to help you learn the shifter ways."

"Do you really think I could be free of him?" she asked.

"Yes, but only if you help us. My family is tormented by him as you are by the memories of him."

"Then, I will help you. I will help you because you care enough to help me," she said, as a small smile came across her face.

"Thank you," Dane smiled, then thought about the next thing to say, "Are you aware of the lord of the Underworld?"

"Hades?" she asked.

"Yes, he is my alley and in turn, yours as well. I don't want you to be frightened by him when he is wanting to help you too."

"I'll try not to be," she said quietly.

Dane got up and headed to the door and then knocked on it. Whoever on the other side, let him out. About ten minutes later, he returned with clothing and Dr. West at foot.

"Dane tells me you want to voluntarily check-out? Are you sure?"

"Yes. Dane and his family want to help me and they know how to," she answered, quietly.

"Alright, I'll deal with the paperwork. I hope everything works out for you Allison."

"Thank you, Dr. West, for everything."

"You're welcome," he answered, exiting the room.

Dane turned around as Allison began to put the clothing, he gave her on. She was surprised that he was being so polite and not staring at her naked body in aw.

"Hmm, I've never met any man who didn't want to get a glimpse," she giggled.

"I have my reasons," he simply said, before feelings hands cupping his crotch.

He jumped at that and turned around quickly to realized that she was still naked.

"I'm not single, either," he said defensively, averting his eyes.

"Oh," she said, sadly as she went back and finished dressing herself, "So, who's the lucky girl?" she asked.

"Guy."

"Excuse me?" she asked, turning around to face him.

"I'm gay, not straight. So, it would be lucky guy, not girl."

"Oh," she said, curiously, tying her hair in a ponytail, "My apologies then," she said, sheepishly.

"It's fine," he said, knocking on the door again and exiting the room with her at foot.
