1 Welcome To Hakone

Located less than 100 kilometers (62 miles) away from Tokyo, Hakone can be an excellent change of pace from the capital. Part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, Hakone offers a spectacular landscape of mountains, lakes, and hiking trails.

At the Hakone Train Station in the Kanagawa Prefecture, a young girl named Kimie exits the train, where she will stay at her aunt's house and gets to meet her cousin. She takes in a whiff of salt sea air as she walks, wondering if her cousin will meet her, and what he looks like now but he cannot remember her face. The young man, named Goro, is greeted by his cousin Kimie, who seems to remember him very well and smiles broadly to see him.

Kimie: "You're Goro, aren't you?"

Goro: " What? Um, well... "

Kimie: "It's me. Kimie"

Goro: "You're Kimie? "

When Kimie sees Goro, she rushes in and asks him why he didn't call her, or send a card and then she punches him in the face and immediately starts beating him up.

"GORO! YOU JERK! YOU NEVER CALLED! WHY DIDN'T VISIT SOONER?!"

Kimie performs a wrestling body slam with extra theatrics. Instead of simply slamming the opponent like a regular body slam she lifts the opponent over her head. She then throws her opponent down to end the slam. This causes Goto with a bump on his head, making Kimie embarrassed.

Goro then has an intense flashback of a young Kimie pleading with him not to forget her, which he obviously has done. Arriving at the inn, he takes the time to remember her blue eyes.

Goro_ "I can only remember the blue eyes."

Kimie_ "Oh, Goro. That makes me feel better."

The two cousins decide to head to aunt Ruka's inn...
