1 A king’s last battle

On a blood soaked battlefield stood a man about 45 years old in Aztec armor. This man's presence gave out a pressure that demanded absolute obedience, for he was the king of the Aztec Kingdom. His name was Atlas Huitzilopochtli, and he was 35 when he created the Aztec Kingdom which he has been ruling for the last 55 years. His kingdom would later become powerful enough to conquer half of the continent.

Atlas was 6'5 with tanned skin, and looked to be about 45 years old even though he was actually 90. His people thought he gained a blessing from their god Huitzilopochtli, but it was just a heavily mutated gene which slowed down his aging and his daily exercise. He had rough but strong facial features with a scar going down one of his green eyes graying it out. His hair was pulled to a ponytail, and he had a heavy beard with grey hairs in both of them. His animal skin armor did nothing to hide his muscular body which was defined by muscles tempered by years training.

Atlas looked out to the battlefield where his army faced the alliance of three other kingdoms. While he was watching this Great War happening he reminisced of his past, his late wife, and every event leading to this war. The alliance was made of three ancient kingdoms which were scared of how powerful the Aztec kingdom has become, so they decided to destroy it while they still can. Atlas knew while his kingdom was powerful it could not stand the might of the old kingdoms combined forces.

He watched as his soldiers died, but with each of their deaths they brought 10 of the enemy with them. He was proud of each and everyone of his soldiers as they never ran away and always faced the enemy as he taught them to do. While his army was great so was his enemy's outnumbering them, but Atlas was confident in taking down the alliance with his kingdom. The three kings never showed up on the battlefield only their descendants where they wanted to prove their worth, however Atlas was there during every single battle showing his enemy that he was not scared of them.

Today was the day the winner would be decided, so the three kings showed up to witness the end of the war but that would be their fatal mistake. Atlas stood their alone on the battlefield with his and the enemy's soldiers around him. A nightmare inducing site to behold as bodies were impaled high in the air with spears, bodies burning, guts spilled from gruesome cuts, and the occasional scream of pain that seemed to come out of nowhere. As the last of his army dies the last couple hundred of the enemy's soldiers march towards him along with the kings and their descendants. When the alliance gets closer Atlas can see the smug look on each of their faces which ignites a fire in him.

The kings march forward in their horses with their army letting them through to the front. The king in the middle who wore blue speaks first and says, "You should have seen this coming Atlas you have grown too fast for your own good." Atlas stares at the Kings which unnerves them and says to them in his deep voice, "I did see it coming I just thought that you all would have the balls to face me by your self, but it seems I was wrong." The Kings are angered at what he says and the king to the right who wore red yells at him, "Damn you Atlas I wanted to keep you alive to let you see the fall of your kingdom, but I'll just kill you like I did to your wife!" After he said that the three Kings felt chills go up their back as Atlas started to remember the beautiful smile of his wife that she always had.

His wife was the only the woman he had been with his entire life, for she was what made him whole and no other women could fill the hole in his heart he had gotten when she died. When Atlas heard he killed his wife he became enraged with a fire that burned hotter than the sun, but he also felt an immense sadness which brought tears to his eyes. "I'll kill you all!" Atlas yells out. The three kings immediately retreated behind their army.

A primal roar was heard as Atlas started sprinting towards their army of hundreds with nothing but his fist. While running towards them he grabbed a spear from the ground and threw it with such force that it impaled three soldiers pushing the other soldiers behind them back. Soon arrows start to fill the sky but Atlas picks up a dead body and uses it as a shield. He makes it to the front of the army and threw the body at them while also hitting anybody he could reach with each punch carrying the force of ten men. He grabbed a person's head and started swinging him around while also using him as a shield.

Atlas saw that the Kings were retreating so he hurried and picked two great swords off the dead bodies which scared the soldiers near him. He started cutting through each soldier with such force that sometimes he would cut through them completely instantly killing them. He was an unstoppable force like a devil without remorse or guilt he was just anger incarnate. He still got hit with swords, spears, and arrows but nothing could stop him as blood painted his body.

The Kings were surprised that the left over army of a couple hundred was actually starting to thin out, so they started to retreat. Atlas though was done playing with their soldiers so he started to bulldoze straight through them. He got out of their encirclement quickly and started to run with such speed that he caught up to the king in purple. Atlas had no time for him so he quickly killed him. He got on the horse noting that there was rope in a satchel attached to the saddle. He urged the horse to the fastest it's ever been which quickly lowered the distance between him and the king in blue.

Arriving next to the blue king Atlas grabbed him and got the rope out the satchel which he used to tie the the blue king to the saddle dragging him on the ground causing immense pain. The red king looked in horror at the scene behind him. He saw the devil dragging the blue king on the ground at high speed and a look of fire in the devil's eye. Finally, Atlas reached the red King and killed the horse with the great sword he used against the soldiers. The red king fell off his horse skidding on the ground a few times taking some of his skin off.

Atlas slowed down his horse and got off not even bothering to look at the blue king who has stopped screaming long ago. Walking slowly but steadily he got to the red king who had skin scraped off his face from falling off his horse. "Hey as*hole don't die on me now, I still wanna hear you scream in pain." Atlas said in a tone which seemed to contain all the anger of the world. The red king was lying face down and hasn't made a sound so Atlas thought he was dead. Walking towards him Atlas has let his guard down not even thinking that the weak king in front of him could kill him.

Just as Atlas got in an arms reach of the dying king he caught a needle in between his fingers, and looked down to see that the soon to be dead king had put a dagger in atlas's chest. "D*mn" said Atlas in a calm voice. The red king looked shocked and shouted, "Why can't you just die already!" Atlas then pulled the dagger out and looked at the sorry excuse for a king and said,"I can't die yet not until you do." He then put his thumbs up against the kings eyes and pressed down with all his might squishing them. The red king could not do anything but yell out in pain, but Atlas kept on doing unspeakable things to the king without remorse. Once Atlas was done he slammed his foot against the king's head and smashed it.

"Eve I'm coming to see you again" Atlas said has he went to the dead horse and sat on it. He still had the great sword from before and he stabbed it in the ground in front of him holding onto the handle. Even though he didn't show it Atlas was on the edge of his life, everything he did today pushed him over the edge which caused him pain unknown to man. Even at the end of his life Atlas Huitzilopochtli had a slight smile on his facing knowing he was going to see his beloved.
