Separation

Two years later,

Roop was sent to her father's office to deliver him lunch. She wanted to ask Rashid to join but decided to go alone. On her way home, she saw a carriage pull off from in front of Rashid's house. She wondered who it could be, on arriving closer, she saw that it was Rashid himself, she felt the earth shattering at this. He saw her with tearful eyes and forcing herself out of the shock, she ran towards the carriage just as it began to move. "Where are you going,Rashid!" she screamed. Bottling up his tears, he pulled his silver ring out of his finger and threw it to her and said,"I'll be back some day, wait for me!"

With these words, she saw the carriage disappear into the distance as she thumped onto the ground. Holding the ring Rashid had given him not long ago, she passed it through the gold chain she wore, as a pendant.

She then, instead of going to her own house, walked over to Rashid's house where bot his and her parents sat together. From their discussions she came to know that he had been sent to Britain due to the unavailability of higher education in the town. She wondered what if he forgot her on moving there. Even the thought of this made her heart quench as she felt a tear leave her eye involuntarily.

She was distracted from her thoughts as she was asked to get her books being it the time for her class from Abdul Khan.

Each following day, Roop found herself surrounded by loneliness. She wondered when had she gotten so used to the boy she once wanted to burn alive.

10 years later(present day)

Roop was now 18 years old, beautiful, gorgeous, well-mannered woman. Her brown curls flowed down until her waist, complexion as fair as a white rose, cheeks that blushed like the peaches, eyes looking as if they held the deepest oceans in them, all of it seemed as if she was handcrafted by the gods.
