"May I come in?" Elize asked, standing outside a pair of ornate wooden doors.

There was no response. For a moment she wanted to turn back and walk away. It was best if she met him somewhere out in the open, Elize thought. The man was certainly an eye candy. She had never seen someone as beautiful as him. And since everyone shared the same view on that matter, she felt less guilty about finding him attractive. She considered the attraction fleeting, unlike the mountain of feelings she had for her mate. But the fact that the Kelpie seemed to think otherwise did disturb her, no matter how much she denied it.
