"Elize, look at me!" He thundered, pulling her hands towards his chest. Elize tried to resist, but the pain kept her preoccupied. He pushed her fists against his chest and leaned down towards her face. "Can you feel this?" He asked, his voice breaking. "I love you, Elize. With every beat of my heart- I love you."

Elize glared at him. "But I don't love you like you say you do." She spat, struggling under his grip.
