Lloyd waited patiently as the head of the royal guards talked into his microphone. He was eager to know the situation at the place. Every minute spent in the car was torture. A hundred different possibilities flashed in his mind as he looked out the window. He could see the trail of cars following them closely. The town was filled with people, who quickly made way for the vehicles as they passed by them. They murmured to each other in confusion, as they watched the expensive cars drive by. 

As they approached the outskirts of the town, the vegetation on either side of the road thickened. Tall trees cast shadows on the road, which vanished in the high beam of the cars. Besides them, there were no other vehicles on the road. Not even a single living thing could be spotted around them. The sky was clear tonight, with the moon casting bright white light around them.
