147 Chapter 147: Into the portal

The feel of the wind against her fur was exhilarating. Elize couldn't get enough of it. She jumped from the ground to the nearest tree branch, her gray eyes sparkling in the moonlight. The wind up there was somehow lighter. Jumping from tree to tree, she kept running, trying to show off in front of her mate, who was right behind her. 

Reaching the clearing in front of the administrative building, she stopped, landing on the ground with a thud. She quickly turned to look back at Zack's wolf with a smirk. She wasn't sure if he had let her win or if her wolf was faster than his. But she wanted to believe in the latter.

He landed right next to her, his paws hitting the earth with a touch as light as a feather. Zack winked at her, showing off his superior landing technique. Elize huffed, narrowing her eyes at him. She walked forward and nudged his neck with the tip of his nose.

'Show off!' She said, reaching out to him through their bond.
