3 Pawns of Paris

Unknown's POV:

"Go kill him for me," he purred. "You have your own reasons for wanting to kill him, so it's not like you're going out of your way to do so. He is your father after all... and he abandoned you to the human world. Poor Myra, having to live with humans who didn't understand her, probably feared her. Now you work for the hunters... and they're sending you right back to him to kill him. Such a test of loyalty," he said and then tsked, smirking. "Now go be a good girl. It's just life after all. Death is ultimately the fate waiting us all, and Paris's time is running short." He unlocked the chains and then pulled me to my feet. We appeared suddenly in the same place from his memories and he put a gun in my hand before he disappeared on me, ditching me. I looked towards the ground with a small frown and fished around in my pockets, wondering if my phone was on me. I pulled it out and called HQ.

"This is HQ on the line-"

"Get some men out to my exact location." I told the lady on the end and then left my phone on as I sat it aside and looked the grave over then looked around for a shovel, finding a couple nearby. Perfect. About five men showed up after a few minutes and I casually instructed them to start digging. I had turned my phone off then. It was nice that HQ didn't question why I suddenly needed extra help, considering they knew I was a half breed they should've been suspicious. I've never asked for extra help. If Louis was right... this means I'm about to unbury my father... one of my actual birth parents. My father told me two years back I wasn't his child... but I sort of knew. My mother acted strange... left us when I was five. Divorced my father when I was six. Never talked to me after that. I was her last child. I knew something happened to her and she never wanted me to find out what it was, so that's why she left and remarried. My father married again as well and his wife now is barely home like him. It's always been my brother and me alone in the world. Our maid was the real one raising us.

"A- A coffin?" One of the guys asked. I didn't realize it but they were done digging up the grave.

"Open it up." I ordered, pulling my gun on them as I looked down in the hole at the coffin. Yeah, that's familiar. "Oh wait... Step aside." I jumped down into the hole, forgetting I was the only one that knew the password. I typed in his birthday then jumped back out of the hole. "Ok," I motioned for them to open it. They slowly done as instructed. When the coffin was opened there was nothing inside... Strange indeed. I felt hands shove me down into the hole suddenly and I fell straight into the coffin and it closed on me. I groaned and heard screams above me and could smell blood. I rolled over the best I could in the coffin and tried to push it open but it's already locked back into place. "FUCK!" I screamed and kicked at it. "OPEN THIS DAMN DOOR!" I ordered, listening as it started to get quiet on the other side. I pulled out my phone then and found I had lost service in the coffin. Something heavy fell down on the coffin and I could hear the passcode being punched in. The coffin suddenly opened and Paris stood there drenched in blood.

"Who are you?" He asked me, grabbing the gun before I could aim it towards him and he tossed it out of the grave. I panicked then.

"Myra.... Moore." I whispered. "Myra River Moore."

Lauren's POV:

As the light shined through my curtains I had just finished reading Twilight for the third time. I stretched, then caught my alarm on my phone right as it went off. Time for my big day! As I clicked the alarm button the room froze around me... I could tell because my kitten stopped scratching herself in mid-paw. I stood up and walked over to my closet to pick out my daily outfit. I didn't want to go with something lazy today. I wanted to wear something eye-catching... for after I drink my healthy dosage of blood... I'm going to be looking like a supermodel. I want to show off my gorgeous ice skin to the football plays. I want to make them drool for me... then when they ask me for a date.... I will turn them down cold. I decided on designer sweat pants, a half tank top, a leather jacket, and a pair of normal van-looking shoes. I smiled at my accomplishment in the mirror. I added some accessories as well for bling and my black watch- I love watches and always had one on to keep up with time.

I walked over to my cat and gave her a kiss on the head before I picked up my phone and stuffed it in my backpack as well as Twilight to read if I get board. I headed out my room and into the halls to get my day going. Time caught up with me then, I could tell because my watch is finally clicking. I took off to my car(a red bmw m4 convertible) in the garage and once I reached it, I climbed in without a second thought. I turned on my radio- and Fall out Boy came on making me smile. I loved the band and felt inspired by them to do great things. I drove off to Perry's and reached his little building within half an hour. I parked out front and headed to the stairs leading up to his apartment. Before I even reached the door it flung open and Sasha(Perry's mate) flung herself at me.

"LAUREN! RENNY REN! HOW ARE YOU MY SWEET!" Sasha asked.

"MOM! STOP HUGGING UP ON EVERYONE THAT COMES THROUGH THE DOOR!" I heard from inside. It was Sarabeth. Perry and Sasha's only child. She was a brat in my opinion. I watched as Sarabeth stomped over and pulled her mother away from me. "DAD YOU HAVE A VISITOR!" She hissed out. Perry was already heading to the door.

"Lauren! How has college been?"

"How's raising Sarabeth been?"

"Touche."

"I need a bottle to do me until I can come back for a cart." I got down to business then. He gave a nod.

"Come on in." He stepped aside and I walked in cautiously.

"Thanks Perry." I watched as he ran off to the kitchen. I caught eye contact with Sarabeth who was staring me down like I was prey and she was the predator. I nervously gave her a smile and she showed her fangs. I stepped back slightly as she grabbed her bag and started heading my way. She had high school to get to, I remembered. I stepped out of her way as she brushed past me.

"Tea." She hissed at me and I balled up my fists. What's that even mean? I watched as she left the apartment.

"Don't mind her." I heard Sasha tell me. "She's got a cavity is all." I laughed and turned to Sasha. How is it they are mother and daughter?

"HERE YOU GO!" Perry came up to me and handed over a bottle of blood. "I just got this stuff in last night. I call it Mike20639." I reached out to the bottle and took a sip of it then nodded in approval.

"How much for it?" I asked.

"We will talk later about prices." Perry told me. I gave a small nod and lifted it up in gratitude.

"Catch you later then! Thanks again you two." I gave them both a hug before I escaped to go to my car with the bottle. I headed down the apartment stairs. At the foot of the stairs was Sarabeth waiting for me. She glared me down with a look of amusement on her face. It made me wonder if Perry had done anything to the blood. "What's up with you calling me tea back there?" I asked her as I passed by.

"Cause you smell like tea. I hate tea," Sarabeth informed me. I raised an eyebrow. That's odd... I don't drink tea. I looked up at the apartment door in worry then brushed it off.

"Smell you later- tea." Sarabeth said and ran off down the street. She really needs to straighten up her attitude! One day someone is going to teach her a lesson... that someone might even be me.

"Whatever." I took another sip of the blood as I headed to my car. That's when I saw an unfamiliar chick walking casually towards Perry's place. Her purple hair caught my eyes and when she glanced at me, I could see a faint trace of insanity behind the sweetness in her gold eyes. She smiled and waved at me.

"Hi~!"

"Oh... Hi~" I blushed and looked behind me just to make sure she wasn't talking to someone behind me then I turned to her. Yep. She meant me. She giggled and then paused, looking at me with a curious look. She leaned in and took a sniff then pulled back and frowned.

"You smell like him.... I guess he's already started to sell his blood." She pouted a bit and then glanced behind me towards Perry's place. "My name is Raven! What's yours?" She asked, looking back at me with the sweetest smile I'd ever seen. It occurred to me then... She's not human. I pondered for a few minutes on if I should tell her my name then decided... Why not?

"My name is Lauren," I told her. I took another swig out of the bottle. "You have pretty hair, Raven." I complemented her to be polite. I really did fancy her hair. She smiled broader and blushed just a bit. Her name reminded me of The Raven... which I think is by Edgar Allen Poe. I wonder if her parents named her off of it? That would be silly. Or maybe she used it as a nickname? Was there even a connection to The Raven and Raven? I could see it somewhat.

"Thanks.... My mom was a bit strange... I got my hair from her," she said, glancing away from me nervously. "So do you come here often?" I wonder if she is a pure blood, new born, or even a halfling? She's definitely a vampire... I doubt she is a pure blood.

"When I have no other options available," I muttered more to myself. It was embarrassing to have to admit that you had to resolve to drinking- I blushed and whipped my mouth immediately then shoved the bottle into my coat like it never existed. I can't believe I forgot to hide it! How embarrassing. "Yes. I come here from time to time for Hugue," I told her calmly. She gave a slow nod, her eyes completely not registering who Hugue was.

"Okaaay...Enjoy the vampire hunter!" She gave a smile and waved, walking past me. I widened my eyes then took off past her and to the apartment. He fed me a vampire hunter!? I might die!

"PERRY YOU SON OF A VAMPIRE SUCKING LEACH!" I yelled as I ran in, not even bothering to knock. He was just about to walk out when I came in and he stopped me before I ran into him. "YOU GAVE ME HUNTER BLOOD YOU SICK-"

"Calm down, it's clean." Perry told me and patted my head "Otherwise why would it be in my home?" He asked. I calmed down. He was right. I took in a deep breath to calm my nerves. I suddenly saw Raven behind Perry and she sat down on the couch, getting comfortable as she crossed her legs and started humming Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I heard the door shut behind me, as Perry had closed it. "I forgot, Lauren I want to introduce you to Raven. Raven this is Lauren... the person I wanted you to meet today." Perry said. I turned around to face him in suspicion. What was he doing? Who even is Raven? I certainly never met her before... and I have lived a long time. I know most of the people in this town and the surrounding ones.

"Oh, you wanted me to meet Lauren?" I heard her ask in a sweet tone. "She's so cute! I met her a few minutes ago!" I blushed a bright red and looked at Perry once more. Cute?

"I have a favor to ask of you, Lauren." Perry began. Oh heck no! SHE'S CRAZY LOOKING! Don't you dare even ask. There is enough crazy people at Hugue's for me to deal with right now. I don't need another.

"N-"

"Will you invite her over to Hugue's manor?"

"N-"

"It would be a very big favor for me you could do."

"N!"

"GREAT! I hope you two have fun!" Perry smiled at me daringly. Time paused for me and I let out a scream of triumph.

"NOOOOOO! LISTEN TO ME FOR FREAKING ONCE PERRY! I SAID NO!" I yelled out my boiled up anger then put on a smile as time came back. "Whatever I can do for you~" I smiled innocently and then looked at Raven. Say you have plans kid and run. She looked at Perry with wide eyes and stood up.

"I'm not going with a stranger! Mommy said to stay away from strangers! I never said I wanted to be apart of a vampire home!" She pouted and crossed her arms across her chest.

"All I am saying is I think you should meet more of your own kind. Lauren can introduce you to some very entertaining vampires and you can have more friends like you." Perry explained. I pondered it over. I wouldn't mind introducing her to Hugue, as long as she didn't end up living at Hugue's right after meeting him. She tsked and the insane look in her eyes got worse as they narrowed, all the sweetness melting away like sugar in a rainstorm. I widened my eyes then and backed up to the door.

"Look, I- uh-- will come back later Perry." I said as I made my way for the door quickly then. She appeared in front of me then and smiled, seeming to be back to the way I first met her and she tilted her head.

"You're very interesting..." She told me, looking me over. Don't tell me she smells tea on me too! I backed up from her.

"Your not too bad yourself," I said softly.

"Fine Perry... I'll at least go over there and talk to them," she said, submitting to what Perry had wanted. She glanced at him and then looked at me, brushing some of her hair over her ear. I have college in two hours... I clenched my jaw. As long as this doesn't make me late.... Oh who am I kidding!? I can control time.

"EXCELLENT! Have fun you two." Perry started to wave us off. She stretched and started to walk off with a bounce in her step, going back to humming something else....It sounded a lot like Scarborough Fair. I followed her out the door and then brushed past her to lead her to my car. I hope she stays quiet... I don't want some psycho questions or something out of her. I looked over my shoulder to make sure she followed me. She was following, but she was staring at something with wide eyes, her face growing in delight.

"KITTY!" She took off after a white cat and leaned down, rubbing behind it's ears with a giggle. I unconsciously took this chance to pull out the bottle and take a swig while she was distracted. When I got a sip I shoved it back into my jacket. She stood up after a few moments then turned to me and smiled sheepishly. "Sorry~!" She called, walking up to me. I shrugged and unlocked the backseat door on the passengers side for her to get in. I walked around to the drivers side and got in then buckled up to be safe. I started up the car and sat the bottle of blood in a cup holder. She got in and buckled up and started singing softly to herself, something in a foreign language that I had never heard before in my life. She didn't seem to interested in me at this point. I shrugged the thought off of her being bad and when we reached Hugue's manor I was surprised when I found him sitting on the manor's porch with a white haired fellow. I never met him before... I parked by the porch and got out then, leaving the bottle inside my car. I walked in Hugue's direction. Raven got out and followed, getting dead silent as she started to seem a little shy, sort of hiding behind me just a bit. I stepped up to Hugue cautiously just to make sure it was okay for me to intrude on them talking. Once he gave me a nod I eased. I turned to Raven for a split second.

"Hugue, Perry sent this girl- Raven here." I informed him. The towering Hugue stood up then, reminding me just how much taller he was to me and he walked over.

"My name is Hugue." Hugue told her and smiled sweetly. She widened her eyes when she saw how tall he was and shrunk a little in fear.

"Who's the guy in the chair?" I asked. I hope he's not going to be staying here too...

"That's Paris." Hugue said softly to me. "He's living here now." FUDGE! White hair is like an omen from hell. RUN! Paris was now laughing like he had heard my thoughts loud and clear.

"An omen from hell?" I heard him ask me softly. I glared him down. GET OUT OF MY HEAD. "No way, it's hilarious." He teased and stood, walking towards me. I flenched and backed up from him. "What's your name?" That's easy- I- SHUT UP AND DON'T THINK IT. "Lauren?" Paris had turned to Hugue now to make sure. "Pretty name~ for such a.... unhealthy looking vampire girl-" Why I aught to- "To what?" He teased me. I clenched my jaw then.

"You should leave her alone," I heard Raven say softly from behind me.

"Or what?" Paris asked then as he got serious.

"I won't be too happy," she said, her voice sounding like it was bordering the insane version I had seen with a thin layer of sweetness. Paris walked towards me then and leaned in towards my neck. I stood my ground though. Hugue wouldn't let him bite me if that was what he was going for. His breath tickled my ear as it broke.

"It will be my rules soon," Paris whispered only low enough for me to hear. It left me confused as he pulled away. What did he mean? He reveled in my confusion. I could tell by the smug grin on his lips.

"That will be all Paris." Hugue said, dismissing Paris. AKA THAT MEANS GET LOST PARIS! Paris turned on his heels then and went inside, slamming the door shut.

"I don't like him," Raven said bluntly.

"He needs some color." I grumbled. A hair cut to. Paris left me dazzled by his appearance. He had long white hair that ran to midway down the bag. That wasn't the only thing wrong or off about him. He had looked like he just crawled out of a coffin in the ground. He was covered in mud and dirt. It made me wonder.

"I can dye his hair pink for you," Raven said, coming in front of me with a sweet smile.

"I rather shave it all off." I grunted under my breath.

"I can do that," she said softly, glancing over her shoulder in the direction Paris went. "I think he needs to be taken down a notch or two....getting close to you like that and calling you unhealthy. It's not your fault if you haven't had any luck lately....It's not like the older days I've heard about where they used to offer humans as sacrifices to appease vampires and save their towns from being devoured. Oh! Speaking of eating, what's your favorite blood type? Mine's AB, but it has to be sweet." She gave me a cute smile, making eye contact with me.

"I~" I started but Hugue looked me over and cut me off.

"Did you get enough?" He asked me suddenly.

"Well... not exactly." I confessed. This chick was around and I am uncomfortable with her watching me drink blood. Why is she even asking me such a personal question? Well I guess my favorite is vampire.... It is after all the most satisfying to me.

"Your not allowed to go to college today. Look at yourself! You look like a corpse. I didn't realized that bullet would take such an affect on you. Stay here today and I will have Perry bring you over something later. Plus you now have a guest to entertain." SHE'S NOT MY GUEST! "I mean by Paris." I paused. What? "I told him you would entertain him today while I done business. Looks like with this little cutie around you now have two guests." I mentally groaned. Not Paris. Raven looked from Hugue to me and then frowned, leaning over to me.

"If you want, I can show you this really good place to hunt later....We can ditch dodo from earlier."

"I'm good!" I said instantly already not liking the idea of hunting with her. She just was... a stranger to me. I don't hunt with strangers. You never know when you would become the meal. She shrugged and rubbed her arm as she glanced around curiously.

"Ok... Well, if you ever need a better place, I have the perfect hunting grounds. Usually gullible people show up...." She smirked as she started thinking about hunting. "They scream the loudest." I blushed.

"Have fun you two, I have to be off." Hugue informed and left us alone. As soon as he left Paris came strolling up from the side of the house.

"Hiya girls," He called and I narrowed my eyes at him. Raven turned around to look at him and tsked in irritation.

"Him..." She muttered and then brightened up and smiled, waving at him. "Hi Paris~!" He walked up to stand a few steps away.

"Paris." I snapped. "Looks like I will be host for the evening." I grumbled angrily. I didn't mean to... it was just I was cranky from the lack of blood. I also was now on a abnormal schedule... It was off.

"I have an idea! Lets make a wonderful toast and I will play you girls something on the piano." Paris suggested. Since when did we get a piano? "Since I moved in." I narrowed my eyes at him. Don't tell me you know I am starving Paris. "What do you think?" He asked. Wheres a gun... I searched my coat pocket for something useful but it was empty- besides my phone. I sort of needed it. He smirked and lead us inside like he knew the place. Maybe he did? "I do. I built it." He informed me. I was boiling now. He's dead. So dead to me. WHY DON'T YOU GO TAKE A BATH.

"You know how to play piano?" Raven asked in awe as she watched him.

"Learnt it when I was four." Paris told us. I could smell something sweet beneath his earth like scent and it made me wonder about him even more. I almost scented tea.... Or was that me?

"That's so co- Wait...Vampire or human years?" She paused to clarify.

"You don't know?" Paris asked suddenly and turned our way. "Why... I thought everybody knew."

"Knew what?" Raven asked innocently, completely clueless.

"I  was never a human." He said calmly. I dropped my jaw then... no... no way... He's a pure blood? But... he's annoying. His jaw clenched and I could tell her heard that. Ops.

"Ooooh...." She nodded as her face lit up in understanding. "So you born into being a vampire."

"I was. Born with a twin names Louis." Paris admitted. His eyes softened a bit then turned bitter.

"What happened to Louis?" She asked, getting curious as she seemed to be taking a better liking to him.

"He died." Paris said is plainly and I was suspicious then. How did he die?

"You poor soul...being left here all alone," she sympathized with him. "I know how that feels...." I should do some research on Paris... I'll ask Hugue later about him.

"Don't you even think about it." Paris hissed my way. Raven frowned at that and glanced at me as she realized he was talking to me now.

"Well I am curious," I hissed his way. "What are you hiding?"

"None of your business."

"THEN STAY OUT OF MY HEAD." I stuck out my tongue at him. I bet you killed him yourself. He widened his eyes then in an instant I found myself pinned against a wall.

"Take. It. Back." He hissed.

"OVER MY DEAD BODY!" I growled. I suddenly was freed as he was yanked away from me roughly and thrown to the floor a few feet away. Raven narrowed her eyes, her sweet demeanor falling away as she stalked towards him.

"I should teach you a lesson for touching people like that," she said, her voice dripping with danger. Paris looked unfazed by Raven and gave a half smirk.

"You think your so tough?" Paris asked. She just glared at him, her fingers twitching as she started muttering things to herself. After a few seconds, she laughed at something, sending a chill down my body. Paris laughed and threw his head back once then stood up and brushed himself off. He then glared her down, staring deep into her eyes and it made me shiver. Suddenly his voice came out like thick honey, "Don't you ever betray me." He commanded and I noticed something. His eyes was phased as if he was putting her under a trace. Wait... Did he have the power to control others? That's a nasty power to have. She suddenly giggled, hugging her sides.

"No, we can't do that....It's not a nice thing to do....Yes....we can do that," she whispered to herself and an insane smirk crept onto her face as she looked at him and took a step towards him. He clenched his jaw then as he seen his little commands weren't working. He disappeared then and we was left alone. I looked around for a few seconds. Teleportation too? I tsked and started for the kitchen. Might as well go- I felt a foot kick my butt and I was sent headfirst to the ground. I screamed and in heartbeats I slowed time down and stopped myself from falling as I turned and grabbed his leg- pulling him under me to at least cushion my fall. Time speed up and he yelped in amazement.

"TWO IN ONE GO?" He asked and smiled wickedly. "I like you two. Your both.... very useful to me." As he said that he leaned up and flipped us over to where I was on the bottom and he leaned in biting my neck before I could react. I let out a scream of pain as he started to drink what little of blood I had left. I heard rushed footsteps and saw Raven standing over us, holding a special looking silver knife to his throat. I recognized it as the one from legend that could slow down a vampire's regeneration.

"Get off of her, or I swear, I will slice your throat and enjoy every bit of it," she said, smirking evilly. I felt tired a bit as he took another gulp of my blood before pulling away and licked his fangs as his face lingered over mine. Some of my blood dripped off and hit my lips softly. He gave a smirk before disappearing. I sat up and whipped off my mouth instantly. She put the knife away into her jacket's pocket and glanced down at me, her eyes returning back to normal. She looked worried as she kneeled beside me and inspected the bite wounds. "Lauren?"

"I feel dizzy..." I mumbled as it was true. My head was spinning and the bite mark stung. "I'm going to kill him." I grumbled. She sighed and looked down at me.

"You need to rest first and have something to drink," she told me, giving me a look that said that it better wait till afterwards.

"I know..." I whispered and started to stand up. It was hard at first and I almost fell face first into the floor but I managed to get up. She stood up with me and gave me a smile.

"Do you think you can handle yourself and keep away from Paris? I might be able to get you something.... It shouldn't be too hard. I'm a pro!" She gave me a thumbs up and grinned.

"No! It's okay Raven. I can hunt myself!" I widened my eyes at her. "How about you... uh... Take a load off in the living room while I go clean myself up." She studied me for a few moments then shrugged and began to walk off.

"If you say so," she said simply. I walked towards my bedroom then in complete outrage. How dare he bite me! That son of a monster! I bet he did kill his brother! I'll have a word with Hugue soon after I clean up the bitemark... I'll get him thrown out immediately.

"Sorry! No can do comprendo! This is after all my home. I told you I build it." I heard from behind me. I thought I told him to stay out of my head! "Did I listen? No."

"YOU BIT ME!" I screamed out as I turned around to confront him. He wasn't there though. "Paris?" I glanced around.... Oh noo... am I going crazy? He bit me and now I am dreaming he is here. I heard him laughing. "That's not funny." I turned back around to start my rampage to my room- but he was there a few feet away. At my bedroom door. I narrowed my eyes then. "Take a bath." I hissed as I walked towards him. I dare him to bite me again! I won't go easy on him next time. He smirk and looked to be seriously thinking about taking on my dare. I motioned for him to get out of my way- he didn't move a hare.

"How about you drink from me?" Paris asked and smirked. Monster. I scuffed and decided to just go straight to Hugue. "No your not!" He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into my bedroom quicker then I thought possible. "I'm trying to be nice." He husked out as he pinned me against my door.

"Nice?" I hissed out.

"Oh yes. Nice. So do you want my blood or don't you?"

"NO!" I puffed out my cheeks. "You are dirty." I looked him over. Even his neck was covered in mud. "I don't want my meal to be... posinious either." He started to laugh and then exposed his fangs. I widened my eyes as I waited for his next move. He let me go and then bit into his wrist. That monster! What does he think he is- Before I could finish wondering he had shoved his wound into my mouth to taste. I'm going to murder him! I started to pull away when the taste of his blood cought me off guard. It tasted like honey tea- I hadn't had it since I was human. There was a hint of oranges in it as well... Something sweet like chocolate... It got me hooked. He did ask for it... I bit down into his wrist deciding it was safe to drink. I began to gulp down his blood in huge swallows as it became addictive to me. Son of a cow! If I don't quit.. I told myself... right after this gulp~ Then I would take two more. He pulled back after a few minutes and smirked.

"How about you go lay down now~" He whispered and I wasn't certain... if it was a command or was it just an offer. I felt my feet carrying me over to my bed and I was laying down before I knew it. "Now I'm off to see Hugue." I heard him say something else under his breath... but I couldn't catch it. He was gone before I could ask about it.

Raven's POV:

I walked out of the house, stretching as I went to leave. I told Perry I'd visit....I visited. Besides, there's that crazy vampire in there! I left society because of those like him. Mother wouldn't be too happy to learn that I came here with such a vampire as Paris here... even if he is interesting to me in the slightest. A human girl was walking towards the manor when I was starting to leave it. She had red glowing hair and it ran to her ankles. She smiled brightly at me. She was wearing shorts and a white shirt with Perry's building's name written to the side of it. She was bouncing with a step in her walk. She seemed too happy. What in the? I paused to watch her. If she was sent here as food, why is she so happy? I smiled at her. Brave soul.... She walked up towards me and looked me over then gave me a small wave. She started past me towards the manor again. "Did Perry send you?" I asked, watching her go. She turned to me then and took out a pad in her back pocket and a pen then showed me the pad which said: 'My name is Alexis and I am here to deliver a message for Perry. I'm mute.' I smiled and gave a nod. "My name is Raven! By the way, heads up: there's a crazy vampire in that manor... I'd be careful if I were you," I warned. With that being said I spotted Paris coming my way~ He looked different. Alexis gave a small bow indicating her hello to me.

"Alexis! Wow... I haven't seen you... Since... You were born!" Paris said as he walked up and looked her over. "You gotten taller." She looked him over then blushed and looked towards me. I sighed....Great. It's him.

"Alexis, meet Paris....Paris, you apparently know her." I gave a smile and waved to Alexis. "It was nice meeting you...Oh, that's him by the way. I told you about him earlier."

"Oh don't be so sad... You'll be next." Paris told me. "I just put Lauren to bed." I widened my eyes at him and then spun on my heel, going for the gates.

"Nope, going home~!" I started to hum to myself, taking my mind off of the crazy one.

"Oh okay! Maybe some other time then once you see what a great ruler I can be! I'm taking over! Bye Bye hunters and bye bye Hugu- Don't tell Hugue I said that Alexis or I will take your ears too." I froze. Ruler? Bye bye Hugue? Is he planning on doing something? I glanced back at him suspiciously. Maybe I should warn them.... He held up a peace sign to me then grabbed Alexis' hand and lead her towards the manor. Well.... It's not like this manor has any real influence on the town if you aren't involved with them.... If I didn't tell them what I suspect he's up to, it wouldn't change much.... I shrugged. Time to go before he decides to keep me here and I do become involved in vampire society again. I swung my keyring around my finger and caught the keys in the palm of my hand as I started to walk off then stopped a few feet away. Hugue didn't seem all that bad....It's not like he deserves to die.... I should go back. And face that Paris again? Yes, he's a bully. I turned around to go back and walked back through the gates, deciding to go to Lauren. I knew her the best out of everyone here. I snuck in through the front door and started to go upstairs where I had seen her go before to go to her room. Following a faint trail of her scent, I eventually stopped outside a door. Must be hers.... I knocked on it softly.

"Lauren?" I called quietly, hoping it was hers.

"Yes?" I heard Lauren ask. I opened the door and went in, seeing her laying on the bed.

"Can I talk with you?" I asked as I walked in further, going towards her bedside. "It's about Paris...."

"What about Paris?" Lauren asked. She gave a small smile as she rolled over onto her stomach. I noticed she looked healthier now and more alive. The dark circles under her eyes seemed to have disappeared. Did she drink from Alexis? I frowned at that, wondering. I dismissed it after a moment then gave a small smile.

"I don't know if this concerns you, but I heard him saw something that has made me worried....about Hugue?"

"Hugue? Mhmm...He said he was going to go have a talk with him." She started to play with the covers.

"Well....he was talking about how great a ruler he would be and said 'bye bye Hugue'.... I'm not sure what he's doing, but it didn't sound good as he threatened that girl from Perry's not to say a word."

"There's a girl from Perry's here?" She sat up then. "Must be Alexis. She is the only one he allows to come over here." I nodded.

"Yeah...that's her name. He threatened to cut off her ears if she told anyone."

"Sounds like he is coming up with a foul plan." She shook her head at the thought.

"Should we do something about it? I only came back because I thought that it would be bad if I didn't say anything about what I heard him talking about." I fidgeted a little at the thought of having to go after him in case he was doing something that Lauren knew was wrong. If she doesn't care... I'll go home. Lauren sat up then and started to crawl out of the bed.

"I'm sure there is nothing to worry about... but just in case.... I need to go talk to Hugue about Paris." Lauren headed for the door with a bounce to her step. Oh...Ok. I put on a smile and followed her, slowly reaching down into my pocket for my knife that my father had given me and tucked it behind my back to hide it. Just in case.... I giggled and used my other hand to brush my hair behind my ear.

"I certainly hope it's nothing," I told her and blinked slowly. As we neared a double doored room she reached for the doors but they flew open as Paris walked out casually.

"I wouldn't go in there if I were you," Paris said casually. That's when I noticed blood on his hands and on his dirty clothes. His mouth was clean though. Lauren glanced him over then rushed into the room and let out a scream of terror inside. So...He really did go through with it. I winced and looked at him and then past him into the room to see the tall man from before on the floor. Paris... killed him. I then reacted instinctively and held up the knife in front of me protectively, looking at him cautiously. Paris stepped in and smirked at his accomplishments. "I warned you. Now, I can change the gates back to the old ones that have PG on them. I told you this is my manor. Get use to it." He hissed at Lauren. He turned to me then. "You there... Raven. You'll join my home." He ordered. I shook my head slowly at him. There's no way in hell I'd join this place after what happened here today..... Besides, mommy told me to beware of others.....

"No, I won't," I said bravely.

"Oh but you will. Join me. I have good reason. I'm going to take something you want bad." He smirked devilishly. "You'll join because I need soldiers like you for my war." I took a step back from him and flipped the knife in my hand.

"Like hell I will," I muttered, holding down a giggle.

"Don't you want to stop those pests from taking your meals in the park?" Paris asked and tilted his head. I widened my eyes as I remembered Uriah from yesterday....Those hunters killed him when I was just about to have the best blood I've ever tasted.... Well, besides my own which I've had to lick off my hands before, nothing more than that though....

"How do you know about that?" I asked suspiciously.

"Uriah would like his death avenged." He teased. "He wanted you to be the one to kill him... not a hunter."

"Yes....he would have enjoyed me killing him more," I whispered as a smirk crept onto my face. I quickly shook my head, remembering that I wasn't to give into staying here. "Don't talk about Uriah like that!" I glared at him.

"Join me. There are more hunters out there like Mike and George and they need to be put in their place. I'm going to take over. When I am done... We can freely walk about the streets again and take whomever we want."

"What about order? There are some out there who would disrespect the other vampires and take their food anyways.... Humans might be harder to find," I said, reasoning with him. There weren't as many vampires the last time we walked about freely like that.

"I'm picking off the hunters that don't respect order. I never said I was killing them all. Just the ones like George and Mike. There is a system that must be followed. When it is not followed.... I come in and clean up their acts. If there are vampires out there that doesn't respect vampire's meals... they won't stand a chance." Paris sat down on the desk then and smirked. Lauren was looking at him with wide eyes.

"Then why him?" I asked, jerking my head at the corpse on the floor. "What did he do?"

"I WAS IN THE GROUND FOR TEN YEARS BECAUSE OF HIM!" Paris said in outrage. "Until the stupid teenagers dug me up for a senior prank.... I got the best of it." I considered him for a few moments. I can't just say yes...and what did he mean by he'd take something I want? There's nothing I have that I really and truly care about.... I travel light. Paris's eyes flashed red for a second and then he was by me instantly. He held out his arm towards me and smirked. "Ever tried a pureblood?" He asked. I tsked and turned my nose up at him, looking off.

"Yeah, they're not all they are cracked up to be. My father was like you...a pureblood.... He let me try him once."

"Try me." Paris offered and then exposed his fangs. "I'm purer then snow." I glanced back at him, slightly interested.

"Why do you want me to try your blood?" I asked, knowing there might be a catch.

"It's to ensure our friendship. I don't just go offering my blood to just anyone you know?" Paris asked. Lauren glanced over with interest. I turned back to him and looked at him closely, narrowing my eyes.

"You're offering yourself to me so that I'll join you...."

"You don't have to stay. Just join me in battle." He bargained with me. "I need a girl like you on my side. There's a war coming. I'm not the only prince out there looking for bloodshed." I glanced at his arm he was holding out and gently bit my bottom lip. If there are more princes out there... then... not just the supernatural world will be affected.... Humans will be involved. Maybe... I'll find another one like Uriah. I'll be able to finish one of my meals without interruption. I smiled sweetly at the thought of my prey screaming. That would be fun.... "I'll buy you a house."

"I don't need a house," I said and looked up at him, reaching one of my hands out to him. "I'll join and stay... if I have leave to do what I want when I want."

"Don't betray me and you have permission to drive any car in that garage of your choosing." Paris smirked. "Freedom is only awarded to the.... trusted." He licked his fangs then took his hand back. I watched him and then shrugged.

"So?"

"Don't follow the cookie trail to the wrong part of town. He's coming in and I need all of what I can get on my side." Paris gave a startled glance towards Lauren.

"Who's coming in?" I asked curiously, tilting my head as I slowly put my knife back into my pocket. What is he talking about? Cookie trail?

"The wales prince. He's my enemy and he's power hungry. He's after me. I'll need a good army." Lauren stiffened a laugh. Great... I smiled in slight irritation. There's no way I'm going to be able to leave vampire society again for a long while.... I should never have made a deal with that Perry guy.

"There's no way that I can go back to what I was doing before...can I?" I whispered, glancing at the floor. "Not with your plans for war and a vampire prince coming here...."

"Yes... I'll need all of what I can get. His army is strong. After all.... he wants to rule everything. He won't stop until his hunger is satisfied." That's no good. I sighed and hummed to myself quietly.

"Fine... I'll join you," I said softly, glancing back up at him as I let go of my knife in my pocket finally. He smirked and gave a slight nod.

"Smart choice." He bit into his wrist then and pulled back holding his bloody wrist up to my lips.. "Have a bite." I glanced over at Lauren, slightly nervous. "Lauren has had some as well. Haven't you Lauren?"

"He's delicious." Lauren blushed a bright red and looked away. I looked at his wrist and took it in my hands, glancing up into his eyes before leaning down to it and trying his blood. A mixture of flavors entered my mouth then. The most masculine was the taste of oranges and tea. There was a hint of chocolate... and something else... something more to it that I hardly recognized. Paris looked dazed out as I was getting a taste and he yanked his hand back before I could go in further.

"That's all I will offer." He told me. I looked up at him and licked my lips then decided to play it cool.

"That's ok....Wasn't as good as you made it out to be," I lied easily and smirked at him.

"More for Lauren then," There was a hint of kid to his voice and he turned to her with a smirk before he walked to the desk and picked up the phone. "Leave me and take that corpse with you both. I have a few phone calls to make." He waved us off. I looked over at Lauren and then started to walk off, leaving her in charge of the corpse. It's not like I live here yet. Lauren had grabbed the corpse by the arms and dragged it out until a male butler ran up and grabbed it to take over.

"Let me miss," He said softly to her. I could smell he was a human. Lauren gave a small smile then left the corpse and walked down the hall after me.

"So are you staying here? I can get you a room near mine. My hall is practically empty." I smiled at her.

"That would be great," I said softly and then stretched. "So....are there any rules here that I should know about...I know Paris is probably going to make a few later."

"I'm sure there won't be any major. Keep out hunters. Never bring one here. That is the main deal Hugue didn't want to happen." I nodded. That's pretty easy.

"Ok.... So that's why you were all...happy and bubbly," I commented, thinking back on when I first went into her room to warn her about Paris. She drank that amazing blood.....Must have really enjoyed it too. I smiled sweetly.

"It was so pure..." Lauren whispered and then stopped herself as she turned to me. "Don't go telling everyone you had a sip though. That's not something vampires.... around here need to know about."

"Of course I won't!" I looked at her with wide eyes. "Why on earth would I tell someone that?"

"Good. Don't tell them about my encounter with him either." She ordered and walked off. "I'll show you your room." I followed her closely as I began to hum again.

"So what do you guys do for fun around here?" I asked suddenly.

"We house large parties... vampire parties... I doubt that will happen though now that Paris is taking over. With the war coming and all." I frowned at that... Wouldn't a party be a good thing though? It would draw more attention for Paris....

"Ok," I said, looking off.

"I'm going to look into Paris.... I want to know more about him. I might find something interesting. Like what happened  to his family." Hmm....My mind suddenly jumped onto another track of thought and I began to wonder if they had a library here.

"Lauren....is there a library here?" I asked curiously.

"Yes actually... Three of them in fact. This manor is huge." Lauren glanced over her shoulder at me. "I have lived here most of my existence and I still have yet to explore it all." Wow....It must be really big then! I smiled at her.

"Does one of the libraries have fairy tale books in them? I like to read them in my free time," I told her.

"I don't see why not. You can ask one of the butlers to help you search if you want." Lauren said and smiled softly towards me. I nodded. I'll add that to my to do list then.

"Thanks Lauren," I said sweetly and clasped my hands behind my back. She stopped in front of a door and then opened it up and looked towards me.

"There you go, your room." She gestured to the room and then looked down the hall. "If you need anything my room is three doors down on the opposite side of yours." I took a mental note to remember that and nodded.

"Got it," I said and giggled slightly. I hope she won't get freaked out if I end up needing something suddenly and I pop up in her room.....

"I'm going to my room." Lauren said and walked off towards her room. "I have research now."
