107 The Other Side of the Road (1)

 "Master, I'll be waiting," I uttered and leaped through the colliding wall and pushed the two brothers inside the vacant space in the nick of time. The undead army led by Polo was unable to enter the terrain, but the five of us were trapped inside in a different passage unbeknownst to my knowledge. 

"Is everyone alright?" I asked as I surveyed the condition of their immobile bodies. Each of them had a few grazes scattered beneath their skin, but none of them were in a grave situation for me to be alarmed. 

Natsuki, who had been previously bitten by an infected zombie, could be found lying across the floor beside his older brother, who seemed to have cushioned their crash. It had already been 3 days, proclaimed by Konoe, since the time he had gotten that wound. Fortunately, his body had been withstanding the pressure coming from the ravaging virus inside his body, slowing the process of the zombification.
