24 A Vivid dream-onward's the docks

A sudden pain rushes towards the right side of my body, bumping into a wall enclosed by a room. Drowsy yet distracted, I slowly open my eyes but soon felt the unrivaled ache forming on my shoulders, numbed from the impact. As soon as my pupils had perceived my surroundings, I knew that I needed to run away.

The floor was steadily being filled with crystal blue water that was leaking from the ceiling. I hurriedly picked myself up from the soft king-sized bed and dashed my half-awake feet towards the nearest exit.

"What the fuck was that?" I gulped while slamming the wooden door from behind.

I could still feel the soggy wet floor touching my feet. I wasn't even wearing any kind of footwear, which felt a little bit uncomfortable for my lower limbs meeting the ground.

There I was, standing at the aisle of the undecorated hallway, lost in solitary. The floor began shaking mildly, disorienting my sense of balance and sight. I soon reflexively clenched my left hand, grasping unto the wall next to me, and shifted all of my weight on the wall—to avoid myself being plunged further away from the trembling floor.

"Gugh! AGH!"

My right side of my body was still quivering from the acute throbbing pain from before. Using my free left hand, I started pulling my other half and steadily marched my way towards the vivid light illuminating at the far end of the hallway, roughly around 50 metres off.

The ground was slowly getting wetter and wetter, making it quite difficult for me to move my slightly paralysed foot.

"Just….a a little more," I said, cheering myself up. I do not know where I am or how this whole thing started, but what I do understand is that I wanted to live—I want to survive in this wretched place.

Eventually, my sedately paddling had finally born its fruit and brought me outside; but the atmosphere was more than enough to push me back down on my knees.

The moving sensation I had felt from before was the ship being swayed by the roaring waves blown by the thunderous climate. A storm might've hit the docks and turned the tides, as demonic as possible. Alas, no sailors nor living human beings could be seen to tell my tale; but one horrible creature stood atop, touching the clouds, and soon greeted my view.

Judging from the size, it was colossal like a building, with great emerald scales latched from its body. A snake-like creature, similar from a serpent, emerged from the water, staring at my cruise. Its eyes were throwing daggers right through my ant-like figure as if it was enraged from my unknown discord.

It was hailed as the king of the seas, trampling down the reigns of the megalodon shark. A monster mighty enough to easily crush an average island. The worst part is, its forest coloured scales are akin to be rotten, much like…

"No way…"

It was. It was indeed

A zombie serpent.

I hurriedly shifted my gaze and soon headed back inside. But my frivolous attempts had soon been swayed, as I saw hundreds of zombies from the other side of the hallways sprinting their way from my disabled body.

"Gotta run gotta run gotta run" I loudly screamed.

I was left with no choice but to embrace my scornful death.

And so it had happened.

The wild serpent dives its whole body and devoured the whole ship, I included. With all of my options exhausted, I stared blankly on the keen teeth that had viciously impaled my humane head.

"AAAAAAAAAA"

"What's wrong, Fleur?"

A voice that I can never forget reverberates in my ear, soothing my nightmare; which I had darn thought to be real.

"Crazy…dream" I abruptly wriggled my body, testing my five senses, including my pain sensors, assuring to myself that this was finally the real world.

"Venice, is that you?" I panicky asked, escaping myself from the…pulpy texture resting beneath my head (?)

"Yeah, it's me. Want to lay down on my soft tender thighs and sleep once more?" Venice replied while gazing directly to my eyes in a lustful manner. She even had the confidence to lure me with her bewitching smile whilst roundly licking her scarlet lips.

So it seems that I had caught myself sleeping on the juicy… I mean soft thighs of Venice.

"Where are we, anyway?" I queried once again, this time averting my gaze away from Venice while inspecting my surroundings.

"You don't remember, do you? You were so thrilled from having us together that you soon fainted half-way towards the docks" She said in a giggling manner. Ah~ She looks even prettier when she laughs. Wait, anyway, preventing myself from the enormous atmosphere, I briskly turned my head and peer towards the orange coloured horizon kissing the ocean.

It was exactly as Venice has said, we have quartered away from our destination.

"Princess, I wouldn't do that if I were you" Paul timidly said and eventually closed his eyes once again.

"Hey, Clint, was I heavily aisle—"

*snore*

Look who's sleeping noisier than me.

Clinton's physique appears to be twisted…flexible, maybe?—continuously wheezing on the ground like he owns the whole place.

"Hey, isn't that…dangerous," I said, worried from his…posture. He was dozing on the ground, with his seatbelts on or…I have no idea anymore.

"Let him be" Venice snorted and soon pushed my upper body on the surface of her thighs with tremendous force, in a position in which I could barely move.

'Venice, I don't mind sleeping on your legs, but can we let this force fetish ALONE when no one can see?'

Despite my hidden desires, I confined my caged body to her pushing arms and accepted my defeat. Struggling was pointless, and this treatment wasn't that bad to be declined for. Don't get me wrong, it isn't great either.

"I believe we're here" Trevor, the pilot, announces our arrival. Quite a short distance we have traveled but had felt like a millennial from my rigid nightmare.

"Somebody wake that damn brat" Paul snickered and started coughing quietly from the smoke he had finished on his mouth.

"Aye!" I proudly claimed and positioned myself near the sleeping lad and silently prayed for Clinton's unwelcomed wake.

"HEAVE, HO!" Marking my signal, I launched my foot swiftly and perfectly aim at the designated target, which was his unfolded buttocks.

"FUUUUUUC—"Clinton loudly groaned while placing his marked butt with his bare hands.

"I'll kill you," he said, as he attempted to pounce me over from the open doors of the helicopter, but was sadly tugged by the leathered belt locked around his waist. He blared once more, this time bracing the stinging pain from his mangled gut.

"Good one" Venice bursts into laughter, amused from what she has seen.

"I swear you're not helping, Venice"

Clinton growls once more, this time, towards Venice.

Repaying his debts, I kicked him again to his willy and finally took the last laugh.

---------------

It took us for about 30 minutes to land on an open meadow, isolated from any living or undead things.

Pushing our anxieties away, we resumed towards our primary goal, landing over on the grassy plain and afterward observed the current sundown from our east

"What a beautiful sunset" I murmured while staring at the magnificent nature. Fortunately for us, we had arrived at the perfect time to catch the breathtaking moment of the nightfall.

"Hurry, my friends. The cruise will be waiting for you soon" Trevor said and promptly took flight from the deafening copter.

"Take care!" I and Clinton both waved our hands and said our goodbyes, on the other hand, the two veterans took out their weaponry and aimed at the distant bush wiggling on the south, parallel from the sea.

"We better get moving," Paul said with a newly lit cig on his mouth.

"Roger"

"Venice would take the post at our front,

Both of you stay in the middle.

I'll handle our breech" Paul gives us our first order while we undeviatingly march forward, nearest to the sea.

We could vividly perceive the amazingly built Northcote Bridge, standing tall amidst from the crisis. But the regular sails of the boats passing by where nowhere to be found, which made the body of water itself dull and quiet.

"Hey, I could see the ship!" Clinton shouts, alerting the nearby zombies lurking in the vicinity.

"You donkey! All of you, fire at will, and protect our post 'til that damn boat arrives ashore!" Paul expeditiously took his stance and accurately fires his rifle towards the horde of zombies sprinting like crazed ants. Venice followed suit and fired mercilessly at the swarm of infected.

Venice military outfit brought her full potential from the battlefield, as she efficiently makes use of the thermoregulated holographic binoculars, which had flashed out from her face producing a transparent screen.

"Watch out!" She cried as she shoots a nearby zombie who was nearly drawing closer towards my flank.

"Cool~" I cannot help but marvel in awe from her nimble maneuvres while valiantly wishing that I could someday replicate her movements. Joining the fray, I took out my trusted .44 Magnum and fired at the remaining zombies that Venice and Paul had left behind. Clinton, on the other hand, was still struggling to hold and aim the same revolver that I had been using.

"Square up, big boy. You wouldn't let a girl beat you in a shooting game now, do you?" I said in a teasing manner.

"Shut up. I'm getting the hang of iiiiiiit—"And there he goes again, firing off the nearby pebble on the ground, due to the recoil.

Heaving out a sigh, I recommence my present actions and fired endlessly on the onslaught of the zombies rapidly approaching.

Moments later, wild gunshots fired from the canons and rifles of the ship, thoroughly reduces the number of zombies scattering from the sward.

"Hmmm" Confused, Paul turns around and studies the overall stature of the broad ship, docked on a nearby coast.

"Paul, it's nice to see you" A man dressed in marine's suit, armed with an m27 automatic rifle, jump down the metallic ladder boarded from the ship, and playfully address's Paul and our group
