54 Caged Fates

"Atlanna, has the schematics I have requested upon been followed as it supposedly has been?" Parasite chatted while he descended along with the regal lady.

"Everything has been set up as you told us to." Atlanna replied casually. She was used to being in his presence and her latent fear of him now is only a passing thought.

As long as he is not displayed with hostility and active aggression, Parasite is as harmless as any other Atlantean in the neighborhood. This was a fact that the dead Atlanteans knew at the last minute before their life clock struck to signify their deaths.

"Does this mean that some of these ladies know where they are headed to?" He was amused at this ladies' acceptance on his next plan of action. "Or better yet, do they know what they are supposed to do?"

"It is on the memorandums and it is no doubt that they may have conversed and prepared amongst themselves." The neutrality was evident in her tone and the glint in her blue pupils was conveying the praises she sung for them. It was a fortune for these ladies to have the same mindset as her.

She was not the only one who reacted positively to her claims. Parasite, just ahead of her, had a smile on his face from what he had just heard. 'I thought that I had to be a bit more forceful and terrorizing than usual but the results proved me wrong. Fortune truly comes to the strong and unopposed.'

Their minor talks came to an end after that as they arrived at the same level as the Atlantean women that were left behind.

These hundred or so ladies were the golden and precious bits that were the final product after an arduous pining from muddy reservoirs of sediments.

It had to be said that they were quiet and focused as they lined up. A big contradiction to the chattiness and rebelliousness that they are expected to exhibit.

"Greeting to all of you!" Parasite's deep voice echoed through the platform and vitalized the focus of the audience. It had to be said that his purple figure was considered a channel of potent ocean energy making his words all the more influential than how it should not be.

"I am sure that all of you by now must have a clear idea on why you are different from the rest and why is it that I elected myself to orient you." It did not matter whether he received viable forms of replies because their silence and attention was already a form of confirmation for him.

"As all of you know, change has long been hastened in the Atlantis that you call home. I am in gratitude for your cooperation and I am sure that a lot of you here are part of major discoveries that propelled advancements to reach the point where we are now." These words evoked a sense of pride for them even though they were just driven by oppressive coercion when they joined those endeavors. The results that they achieved for these months were relatively glorious compared to other years of their lives.

Although they might not outright admit it, Parasite was the driving force behind the achievements they have recently racked up. If it was not for him, they would be stuck with their bland lives under the Orvax regime.

Only the Men of War and a selected few had a chance to find their purpose during those years after all. Even Atlanna could attest to how unhealthy her government was with regards to cooperative movements and populace participation.

"I have to point out that when I forcefully usurped the kingdom to the brink of destruction, the truth is that you did not feel obligated to save your nation but to save yourselves." It was shameful to admit but their king's words were true. Quite possibly, only true patriots like Atlanna were thinking more about the whole compared to themselves.

"However, as I have said, Atlantis has changed and the feeling you had then was comparatively different from the feeling you harbor now." Parasite blurted out the exact lines that they wanted to hear. "You were a part and integral to how this kingdom currently stands. If it is threatened to be destroyed, you will no longer have the indifference you once had but feel the loss that you should have had."

"Now, my talks about unity and whatnot could be considered a bit stale and pointless to the purpose of this convention but I just wanted to let you hear my commendations on the developments you went through." Parasite felt that his speech went on for too long and decided to get to what he originally intended it to end with. "To sum it up, my purpose of calling upon you to be here is to be part of something even deeper than what you have been already a part of."

The confusion was visibly etched into the faces of the listening crowd but they were still more or less clear on the message he wanted to convey.

"Basically, you prided yourself on being a part of my advancing regime, so you should pride yourselves even more on being chosen to undergo what you are about to do." A playful grin could be seen on his face at the moment because no matter how gentleman-ly he conveyed his request, it would always be interpreted as rogue-ish and deplorable.

"I applaud and welcome you all to being impregnated by me while happily priding yourselves about doing so!" His mockery traveled towards their ears and despite the unthinkable future they are going to be facing, they kept their unwillingness to the side and gave out the applause that he 'should' be given.

There might be some tears while they did so but the salty seas were enough to drown the sorrows that they hiddenly conveyed.

Atlanna gave out a sigh of relief and indignance while she clapped her hands. Relief from having no occurrence of violence and indignance from the caged fate that these women are subjected to.

'I thought that being forced to marry Orvax was the worst thing that could ever happen to somebody but I remembered that a lot of girls hoping for romance also experienced the same fate as me.' The woeful queen thought to herself and remembered how statistically abysmal it is for Atlantean women to marry who they want. She must have cemented herself as an idol for being able to voice out her defense in a society dominated by a patriarchal system.

"With all that out of the way, I implore you to patiently wait your turn." With the faked applause subsiding, Parasite announced with a sheepish smile to hide the wolf he is to show during their 'sessions'. "However, there might be special points to those who are eager to volunteer themselves to be on top of the list!"

"Hehe! Queen Atlanna will guide you to where you should be. Do act accordingly!" He had his trusty secretary organize them to where they should be and he left first towards the accommodations that he designed for this specific occasion.

Just by the base of Centerpoint was the quarters that these women would be staying on and he looked forward to the surprises that they would show him. 'Should this place be called as Pregancy Chambers, Babymaking Quarters, or Love Nest? Well, who would care about this sort of thing?'
