25 Time will tell

"We've finally arrived!" Miya exclaimed. Before we got the chance to celebrate, we heard the sound of horses in the distance. Kiyo immediately ran in front of us. "Quickly! Hide!" Kiyo tried to get us to hide behind the trees. "What's going on?!" "Just stay behind me!" Kiyo shouted. Miya obediently ran behind Kiyo. We saw people who were obviously bandit head towards us."Looks like we're in luck! Hand over all your valuables and we'll leave you alone!" "You wouldn't dare harm us! We're too close to the village, everything you do will be noticed very quickly." Kiyo sounded confident, but was still trying to figure out how to get out of our current dilemma."You're right. We won't be able to murder you but, human trafficking is quite a profitable business." One of the bandits grabbed onto Miya's arm.

Kiyo was about to punch the bandit, but suddenly, we saw the man being flipped onto the ground. I remembered the fact that I had a small knife in my bag. I quickly took it out and threw it towards Miya who was being targeted by the bandits. After that, I passed out. The last thing I remember before my head started hurting was Kiyo calling calling for someone named 'Maya' as I fell.

"You can't die now. Not after all you've done." Huh? I see, I'm dreaming again. "Your back. So I'm assuming something important is about to occur." "Glad you still remember me. You're right. You're about to die." Wait, what! My face probably looked hilarious because the girl started giggling. "Don't worry, I've made sure the same thing wouldn't happen twice. When you wake up you'll remember everything. And no matter what, don't let anybody know you're from another world," "So, are you going to reveal who you are?" I asked. "You'll find out the next time you return to our world."

I woke up. "Thank goodness! I was so worried!" Miya hugged onto me. For the first time in a very long time, I felt gald I was still alive. "What happened?" I asked.
