12 Lead the way!

"Great! When should we leave?" Miya asked. "Anytime is fine but, it's better to get an early start." "Alright then, let's meet at the edge of the town where the small gate is, at the tenth hour."

Miya and Lyla left. Tenth hour? Wait! How many hours are in a day here? I started thinking for ways to get Kiyo to answer that question. Since they measured time in hours, they must have something to tell time with. "What time is now?" Kiyo pulled out a circular object with a sun and a moon carved in it. "Just past the eighth hour." "Okay, thanks." That went well. The object was fairly small, it was lined with 25 dots, two of which were a sun and a moon carving that were opposite of each other. There was a black dot that covered the eighth dot. The black dot could move to cover another dot to show the time. With time figured out I could infer the answer of a few of my other questions.

Kiyo called me down. We walked toward the edge of the town to meet up with the other two. The three of them each had a small bag with them. "Anything important we should go over before leaving?" Nobody spoke. "Alright then," I looked towards Kiyo, "Lead the way!" Kiyo took out a rough sketch of the land near this village, there was a line drawn over the mountain range that ended at a circled area. Kiyo pointed towards the mountains. "We'll have to spend a night in the mountains, it'll take around three days to get to our destination. "With that said, Kiyo started walking ahead. I saw Miya's eyes sparkle with anticipation. Hopefully my luck doesn't run out during this trip.
