21 Familiar Setting

Well, I don't really have a choice. I could either try to get a place to stay in this village or sleep outside with nature. I think I prefer the former. So I headed towards the village. I completely forgot the fact that I was most likely in another world and I couldn't speak any language other than English and Chinese. It was to late. "Wha'cha doing?" I was internally screaming. Why luck?! What have I done to make you hate me so? I realized the girl was staring at me. "Hello? Can you understand what I'm saying?" "No!' I quickly replied. Wait.... How did I just understand what she said? "So you do understand!" "Uhh, ya. Are you from this village?" "Yep, been living here since my first day. My name's Miya. Are you visiting this village?" I had to make something up on the spot so I just went with the easiest situation to fake. "I'm Cecilia and actually, I'm lost. I was supposed to get to a village I visited before but, on the way there I think I took a wrong turn." "Well that's unfortunate. Would you like to stay in this village for a night before you continue your journey?" I don't know why, but I felt like I could trust this girl. "It'd be nice if I could. Would you happen to know a place I could rent a room from for a night?"

Miya was about to speak but was cut off by the sound of horses stopping at the other side of town. "Miya, there you are!" Another girl just showed up. "What's going on? Are 'they' here?" "Sorry, I didn't expect them to arrive early," the other girl replied. "Am I interrupting your conversation? I apologize. Anyways, Miya we have to go!" Miya quickly said goodbye while the other girl bowed. The two of them ran off. I really wanted to follow them, but I might get in the way of private matters. I ended up following them anyways.
