37 Celebration

I walked along the crowded streets. 'It's been a long time since I was last at a festival. Last time I went was with... and I can't remember his name. I really wish I could do something about this memory loss.' I continued walking until I reached the abandoned church. 'I wonder how Rian's doing, he doesn't seem like the type to enjoy festivals. Alright! I'm going back to the parade to be influenced by the townspeople's cheerfulness!'

I was walking towards the town center I notice a boy, around 16-17 years old, watching the parade with a very somber expression. 'Really?! That's the last thing I'd want to see right now. You know what? I'll try playing fairy godmother.' I walked up to the boy, copying how Miya first approached me. "What are you looking at?" I said while using my young, innocent 16 year old girl appearance to my advantage. "I'm looking for my mother, she's in the marching band." "I see, have you spotted her?" "No, not yet.. Wait! Who are you?" 'Hahaha. I'm not the only one who's super slow to respond.' "You just noticed? I've been standing here for a while now." "That's not the point! Who are you?" He said slightly embarrassed. "Nice to meet you. I'm Cecilia, a traveler." He looked at me for a bit, then turned away and pretended I wasn't there. 'How rude!' He went to sit down on a bench so I just followed him.

"Her majesty, the queen, has arrived!" One of the soilders announced. The boy stood up and went to get a closer look at the marching band. 'Would the boy's mother be a servant under the queen?'
