AN: Yay! Finally fifty chapters in! Except that one of my chapters roughly equal 1-2 pages of a book T-T. (So more like 60 pages in) The novel has about 15k words right now, I would like to end this novel at 60k to 65k. I've also been working on a new novel for a while now, but I'm not sure if I could release them simultaneously. Well, that it for my message. The actual chapter is below.

"Can you guess what happened!" Emi came running into our office. "What? Is this about the competition?" Yurisa who was helping me answered. "Only five hundred participants passed the first round!" "What! That's only ten percent of the participants!" Yurisa stood up in shock. "Wasn't the competition also meant to serve as entertainment?" I questioned. "I'm not sure either, Yuri, do you have an idea why so many were cut from the first round?" Emi asked. "Hmm.. It could be the King's choice, since his majesty was the one who suggested hiring new guards." "Oh right! Cecilia, don't you have a friend watching the competition? Can you ask for more details on what's happened the last three days?" "Sure, I planned on asking anyways."

The excitement has dulled down a bit over the last few days. Most of the merchants leaving for the capital are already there and there's a one day break before the second round continues. Since around four hundred people were injured during the first round, the event coordinators have been promising to take more precautions next round. A few worried families came to pray for their sons and husbands. I sat down at a table at the church and started writing a letter to the prince.

He's been surprisingly willing to talk to me, maybe he actually enjoys events. From his last letter, I found out that the two I helped passed the first round and that one of the two's name is Chase. I'm assuming the one in the hood refused to introduce himself. I asked the prince to help get the two's address so I could send them letters, he still hasn't replied yet.
