Wanting to. 《2》

The night grew deeper as time crawled in. Only the sounds of the engines and rubber tires rolling on asphalt could be heard that maunders through the house, composing my thoughts.

I took turns gradually looking at the plain, white ceiling to the floral-designed cherry red curtains to my right. I find myself laying pervasively on the soft, gentle bed which was in my perspective, quite contradictory.

I had my whole quaint room to myself. Father is sleeping in the other room. "I am all alone. With my mind." I thought. I raised my hand gently and looked at my hand which I was slowly rotating just above my eyes.

Then, gusts of a chilly breeze consumed me, hissing through my ears and crawling through my hair. It was the AC.

I readjusted my position to a better one. My head held up high and my body laying on its side. And there I was, staring at the translucent curtains. In the house, alone.

"I wonder how Nathan's doing?" I thought to myself as another engine went humming through the street, across our home.

"I feel so stupid." I thought, chuckling it off. Then I remember what I did.

"What the heck!" I quickly said while I mushed my face down with a pillow.

"What the hell did you do that for?" I asked myself only for the mushing to become more intense.

"But you have to admit, you kinda liked it." A part of my mind told me. Then I turned red as the curtains and I shrieked and curled up.

"A little." I said lightly as I rolled side to side. "But did he?" I said as I stopped rolling and went to a crawling position.

Then my phone beeped which was laying lonely on the bedside table. I checked to see who it is and it turns out to be Hannah.

"Hey, wyd atm?" She chatted. "nothin, hbu?" I sent with an overjoyed emoji laying my self on the bed. "We're going to Cathryn's house, movie marathon at 8, wanna come?" She asked. Then it hit me, "If they're going to Cathryn's, Nathan must be there! No!" I thought as I shaked the phone violently in realization.

"How many and who will go?" I asked in a serious manner. "Uh... We have, Blythe, Luna, me and Maria. Come on! It's gonna be fun!" She replied. I checked the upper right corner of my phone real quick to see the time, "6:57 pm" It read.

"Yeah, Sure. Be there at around 7:45." I replied and put the phone down. I went outside to my dad and asked permission.

"Who will you go with?" He asked in a raspy voice considering he had just woke up. "Uh... Sean and the rest." I said. I didn't say "The girls" because he doesn't like me to go with them.

"Sure, this is only for today but make sure you'll come before midnight!" He said smiling. "Sure dad, no problem!" I said kissing him gently on the forehead before leaving.

"Bye dad!" I yelled out. "Hmm!" He replied. I closed the door shut and walked to their house which was a couple of blocks away, I'm fine with that.

"Wau?" Hannah chatted me. "Wau? Wth is that?!" I replied quickly with an overjoyed emoji again. "Where are you?" She replied. I stopped walking for a moment and leaned on a wall. " In front of the mall. hbu?" I replied. "Wth.. there are literally tons of malls around your house." She said. In fact, there are actually 3, Primeria to the right, Mall of the Southeast to the left and I am in front of the third which is to the back, namely Southeastern Grand Complex.

"SEGC. But where are you?" I chatted. She has only seen it but not a reply. I continued to walk through the crowded streets and shining lights.

"Kian!" I heard a shout from afar that sounded familiar. I turned around to see it and it was Hannah, sticking her head out the backseat window of a navy blue pick up truck. I went immediately to her and the car pulled over. "Get in." she said opening the car door on the left.

She wore a Minnie Mouse shirt with pajamas, of course she would. I was wearing a long black sweater and trousers.

When I sat down, I greeted her mom who was driving us and saw two other people beside Hannah, it was Blythe and Luna.

"Hi!" We said and got to ask each other get-to-know questions on the way to Cathryn's house.

"Thank you!" We all said as we got off to a pretty suburban home. A bright blue and white with a porch and a small yard welcomed us. But I noticed, they don't have a car. I think.

We went in excited since most of us are coming here for the first time. Not for Luna since she's come here for the 4th time now. Well according to her, that's what she told us.

We walked through their small frontyard and climbed up the wooden stairs, holding the handrail. When we arrived at the very front of the door, we immediately heard Cathryn shouting "Mom, they're here!".

She opened the door slightly just enough for her head to fit, she stuck hers out. "You can sit by the porch for now." She said then closed the door.

Then another car came. It was a black, large car.

"Woah, who owns that?" We said.

And to our surprise, it was Nathan.
