9 Broken. 《2》

While Kian taught the two of them, I was listening and actually understood him better. Most probably because I wasn't even listening to him earlier.

Then they suddenly started to quiet down, they stopped arguing and Hannah was even listening to Kian. Even though Cathryn is the top student in the class, she struggles quite a bit to cope in terms of math.

"That's it. No questions?" Kian said then the both of them looked at him so speechless

"Nope." They said as they were still in awe of how fast he was.

"Good." He said as slammed the book closed and looked at me smiling before heading back.

"Now, are you both ok?" I said as I looked at the two emphasizing the word "both".

"Yeah, we good." Cathryn said in awe still.

"Will you two snap out of it already?" I yelled at their shocked faces. Then they jumped a bit on their seats out of scare.

I can't blame them. Kian truly is an amazing person with his math skills. But the chance of him playing me has been small recently. At least that's what I tell myself.

Then the bells rings from outside the room and everyone's chattering ended with see you laters and waves as they went back to their seats and greeted the teacher who just came in.

They went back to their seats and I went back to mine. Everything went silent and suddenly "Get one and pass." The exam had started.

And of course, I had to ask for the date because everyone forgot. The exam was 3 pages back to back, and reading the first question, I knew I wasn't gonna fail on this test.

I finished the test and looked around me, I stood up and suddenly everyone looked at me with gasps and shock. They looked through their test papers and then looked at me going back and forth.

I went straight for the teacher across the room, stares just locked at me but I couldn't look at them. But I did manage to look at someone. And that someone is Kian. I locked stares with him and he smiled at me. "Nice one." He mouthed and I smiled and so did he.

As I approached the teacher I handed it to him but he didn't even touch it.

"What's wrong, sir?" I said.

"Are you sure that you don't want to double check your papers?" He said

"No, I have already double checked it." I said then he grabbed my test papers and looked through them. "Uh.. let me ask you something." He added.

"Sure!" I said with a bit of fright. "Imagine parallel lines namely Line A and B have a transverse line of the name Line C cross through the middle on a slight tilt. How would you identify the degree of its angles if I only give the degree of Angle 1 which is located on the outermost left exterior angle?" He asked.

It may seem like a lot of words but it's simple. "First, find it's corresponding angle, vertical angle and it's left alternate exterior angle. Then you'll find that they have the same degree as Angle 1. The rest becomes the supplement of Angle 1." I answered briefly.

"Oh okay. You can go now." The teacher said.

After I went out of the room, I went downstairs to the cafeteria. I sat down and looked around to see that almost no one was there.

I waited there for someone else to finish the test. But while I was alone, I took my time just to think, I looked at the clock to check what time it was and realized why they were so shocked in the first place.

"8:45" It read. Then I, myself too was shocked at it. I took only around 10 minutes to finish. That's why they looked at me like I was God or something.

Then I laughed to myself. "This is all because of him." I mumbled.

"I wonder if he's done already." I thought as I played with my nails on the long table at the side.

"HEY!" I felt someone tap my shoulder in a sudden and I jumped in my seat. I quickly turned around.

"What the f.." I said as I saw Kian behind me.

"F....?" He said.

"Ah!! What is wrong with you? You startled me!" I said with a sigh of relief that it wasn't a teacher but at the same time a sigh of shyness.

"Haha, got you!" Kian said as he sat beside me. "So, how was the exam, my little apprentice?" He added.

"Haha, it was a piece of cake! My wise sensei!" I replied with an accent.

"Haha. Wow, you really did that fast, my little apprentice!" He said as he sat closer to me until we were centimeters apart from each other.

"Hey it's all because of you! And don't call me little!" I said.

"I know you're taller than me but I'm thinner! Mwahaha." He replied in a pirate-y accent. Then I just looked at him with an "Are you serious?" face.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" He said hugging me tight.

"Heh." I said.

"Please!! Forgive me! I won't stop hugging you until you forgive me!" He said hugging me only tighter by the second.

"Alright! I forgive you! You're gonna suffocate me!" I replied then he quickly let go of me.

"Really?" He said with a cheerful face and with a smile as wide as a rainbow. I couldn't help but smile at it.

"Yeah." I said then he leaned his head on my shoulder and I leaned my head on his.

"Yay! Nathan forgave me!" He said. "Why wouldn't I?" I replied as we both leaned into each other and he put his arm around me, again.

"Thanks for cheering me up." I said.

"No worries." He said. Then he kissed me on my cheek.
