3 How do I play?

"Cool! A passive skill! Nice I will be able to quests from NPCs easier now!"

Iris was not a complete noob when it came to games, she played a lot in primary school.

—but how do I pick a class?—

Thinking about it she assumed it was a quest based class system where you have to complete a quest or gain an item to receive a basic class. —I wonder if they have hidden quest classes too.. nah, I'll just become a wizard, aw~ but a magical melee fighter(1) would be cooler—.

Going back to the main screen she realised she had yet to see a play button. "That's odd".

Iris heard her Mum calling for dinner. She could already smell the curry from upstairs and wouldn't dare miss it, "I'll deal with it later".

After having 3 servings of curry, Iris didn't feel like trying to find the play button, instead just sat her phone on her desk and turned off the light, she went to sleep pretty quickly after that, wrapped up in her blanket.

*ding* "Initiating 'Parallel Dream' in 3.. 2.. 1.."

Iris yawned and opened her eyes as she took in her wooden cabin: "where am I?!"

*ding* "Fire Stone, you have entered 'Parallel Dream' successfully! Please remember basic game rules! like, no hacking but apart from that We hope you have fun!"

Iris looked around again in amazement.

"I'm in a GAME! what happened is it Dream software(2)? It feels so real"

She hopped out of bed and walked towards the standing mirror: a petite figure stood there with short curly violet hair cut at her shoulders wearing a beige sack-like dress cut low on her back letting her Delicate wings out. "Can I fly?" Iris tried to imagine the wings as her own body and move them.. flutter. —that's so CUTE!— She was lifted about 3 inches off the ground before she dropped again panting at the effort. "I'm going to level up that, it's going to be so OP" right now it was more useless than walking somewhere. As Iris was about to leave the room and explore she smashed straight into an invisible wall: "Fire Stone, please create an action to open your statistics: such as a wave of your hand...this can be changed at any time. Iris reached he and out and swiftly pulled it back to 20cm from her chest. "Like this?".

*ding* "movement created please access stats"

Iris repeated the movements and a transparent screen appeared with the same design as the app, all the buttons but the Attributes greyed out. *ding* one of the buttons became colourful showcasing a little compass: 'map'. Iris clicked it and a birds-eye view of a small town surrounded by forest appeared. Near the centre was a little blue marker Iris assumed was her position. At the top of the map in cursive read: 'Willow's Mount'.

(1): Magic Melee Fighter

Close range magical fight instead of standing at the back of the party.

(2): Dream Software

Like VR games but it feels real, like reality, controlling your avatar with your mind and you play while you are sleeping, in a lucid dream-like state.
