They finally got to go on a date, not the kind of usual date you go to in a restaurant or a bar or a park. But a type of date where you'd have to communicate with your date in letters. Linda had no access to the outside world until she's fully groomed which is going to take a few days. Jack, the pizza guy would dress like a mail man to get his letter delivered to Linda. They got to know a lot of things about each other except for Linda's true identity and job. She knew if Jack should find out who she really was, he would never want to see her again.

Feelings grew stronger and so did the preparation for the pageant. One night, Linda risked it and snuk out to meet Jack, she was able to locate his house through one of the letters. Jack, surprised to see her went speechless on the spot, although kinda embarrassed with the looks of his little crib, a room filled with boys junks, a bed and a bicycle.

"So this is where you stay?" Linda asked disrupting the silence

"Uhm... yh... yeah, not much, just regular."

They couldn't keep up with the conversation, not long until their hormones took control of the whole situation. kissing lasting for almost 5 minutes and before they knew it, the situation turned erotic.

Feeling alive and more womanly, Linda woke up with a smile on her face, realising she spent the night with someone she barely knows and how nanny Louis would have been worried, she puts on her clothe, pecked Jack who was still sleeping, and ran home. She couldn't feel more happy as she was going through her pedicure. Nanny Louis noticed her unusual behaviour, she called her to her room. She was welcomed with a slap from her. "You must stop seeing him." She said.

Tears rolled down Linda's face.

"You are not to be distracted." Nanny Louis continued, " you need to devote everything you have to this. You fail the family and you wouldn't want to know what will happen to you. From now on, you'll be spending all your hours training, I'll have the guards secure the house. Get your head in the game."

How did she find out? who told her? These questions ran through Linda's mind as she steps out of Nanny Louis room. She thought of diverse ways on how she would be able to see Jack again, but with the gates locked and her spending the whole of her day training, no more Jack for her.

sitting by the window side staring at the beautiful garden by her window side, she remembered how she first met Jack till the very last day they were probably going to each other ever again. For the first time, she felt love and not fear.

It's a week to the pageant, and it's time to visit the doctor.

"Linda Pierce, so happy to see that you're next in line, your family has always been making me proud and I'm sure you're going to do the same if you are willing to sign these papers. " the doctor said.

" what's in the papers?" Linda asked

"find out yourself."

She picked up the papers and she reads through, her heart beat increased. What's in the papers? it's a request for abortion.

"Abortion?" Linda asked.

"Yes Linda, you are pregnant."

At the hearing of that, she passed out. few minutes later, she woke up on the sick bed with the doctor beside her.

"Good you're awake, Nanny Louis would be here soon. "

" You told her? " Linda asked, she knew she was in big trouble.

"Yes and she's on her way."

Worried, Linda went into deep thoughts.

"You don't need to worry" the doctor cuts in, " I didn't tell anybody, but what were you thinking Linda! You know how important this pageant is to your family and now you're walking towards the path of loosing it, what got into you?"

" I don't know okay, it was the first time I felt something new entirely, something different from my beauty, something different from perfection. I couldn't handle it, I lost control, I'm sorry. " She said with years rolling down her eyes.

The doctor felt sorry for her, held her by the hands and said "Look honey, I totally understand you, but you know your family won't, especially Nanny. Controlling your emotions can be hard but letting them out is as easy as nothing, you should have thought about what's most important before letting them out.

Luckily for you, I've been your family doctor for years now and I have two options for you. You tell Nanny and pull out of the competition or I could give a drug that would help hide any symptoms or any suspicious behaviour, you'll be good as new. Take your time to think about it, I'll be in my office." She said and took her leave.

Linda was left to choose from the two options, which one did she go for? Find out later.

Two days to the pageant, the whole Pierce family gathered together to wish Linda and share her tips on how to win the pageant, they all emphasized on letting your beauty do the talking, turned out to be what they all know. She wasn't able to get the type of encouragement she needed, leading to the increase in her fear. A day to go, nothing changed except she was able to spend some quality time alone to go through everything she's been taught. As she was about to doze off, she felt a sharp pain around her lower abdomen. The pain stopped, she knew something was wrong, but it's almost time for the contest, so she decided to deal with the pain after the contest.
