There were many Chosen that were recovering from injuries either from the wall's resistance force or other contestants who they had to fight to the death or until one side admitted defeat, and left with little to do, they observed the casual and active Ascendants that had stopped challenging the walls.
A few Chosen were wary of them because these Chosen showed an overwhelmingly terrifying breakthrough speed for each path, displaying that even the lowest Realmlord could exert power that rivaled some Starlords. This frightened them a few times over, realizing that Wei Wuyin was indeed the usher of the next generation.

Yet their envy kept brewing as Wei Wuyin's name kept echoing in their minds, living rent-free, garnering regret that their seniors hadn't submitted to Wei Wuyin earlier.
