3 Chapter 3: So what now?
-3rd person pov -
Asahi was growing impatient, he was currently waiting outside his job for Daichi to come down so they could go pick up Ryu and then he would talk to Nishinoya... to be honest, he was quite worried maybe it was because he didn't talk to people much but he had bonded with Nishinoya to Asahi it wasn't just meaningless sex between them. ASAHI DIDNT EVEN KNOW HOW THAT WORKED FOR CRYING OUT LOUD?! He wasn't going to lie, he was interested in Nishinoya but Noya was also Ryu's teacher and Asahi didn't want to complicate Ryu's life. Asahi feels a hand on his shoulder and he steadily turns around to see Daichi smiling at him "let's go!"
-Asahi's Pov (≧◡≦)-
Me and Daichi have been walking with a comfortable silence in the air that is until Daichi blurts out " What are you going to do about your little kitty?" I glare at him and sigh " His name is Nishinoya and I don't know, whatever is best for Ryu I guess" Daichi stops walking and sternly says " Your definition of 'best for ryu' always means self-sacrifice! Why do you always do that! How long are you planning on living like this?" I stand there shocked at Daichi's sudden outburst before I feel myself quickly grow annoyed " I don't want to complicate his life! Have you even thought about what would happen If I did decide to date his teacher and it ends my badly?!" I say coldly.
Daichi stands there with an unreadable expression on his face before he says " You always assume the worst is going to happen... Have you thought about what would happen if you did date that teacher and things went well? Daichi looks at me and smiles " You and Ryu would both be happy" Daichi then pats me on the shoulder before going quiet... gosh I'm the worst! I walk up to Daichi and offer him a sheepish smile " I'm sorry... I know your just worried about me... dating and stuff have just been hard since Hinoku..." Daichi gives me a sympathetic and quietly whispers " I know.... but you've got to move on, Hinoku would want you to be happy and you know that.." I sigh in defeat, I mean he's not wrong... That woman was crazy and that's what I miss about her most.
Me and Daichi continue to make jokes and small talk about our workday until we reach Ryu's school. " I think I'm going to Ummm check out the other classrooms." I notice the blush form on his face before I chuckle and say " yeah yeah go stalk that teacher you saw this morning" Daichi then walks away and turns to look at me offended " ITS NOT STALKING!" Before completely running off I laugh to myself before sighing and making my way to the classroom from this morning.
Once I finally arrive at the classroom, I pop my head inside and automatically hear a squeal coming from my beloved Ryu! " PAPAAAAAA!!" Ryu screams, running at me and then hugging my right leg. I chuckle and bend down to pick him up " Hey little guy, how was the first day of big boy school?" Ryu claps his hand together and laughs " It was so fun today papa!!! I made a bunch of new friends and Shi-chan let us all color and play duck duck goose on the playground!" I smile at him, I wonder who Shi-chan is? " That's great buddy I'm so happy you had fun!" I then give him a peck on the forehead, Ryu then squeals and does the same thing to me, MY HEART! I hear someone clear their throat and I immediately trail the voice to see where it came from and there stood Nishinoya in front of me and honestly if he hadn't done that I probably never would have realized he was there! IM SUCH A TERRIBLE HUMAN BEING !!!
Ryu then happily squeals once again, shifting in my arms, I put him down and he immediately runs to nishinoya and throws his arms up... he's never done that to somebody who wasn't me and Daichi... Nishinoya chuckles and picks him up " SHI-CHAN!!" Ryu squeals happily. I feel my face light ablaze, HE'S SHI-CHAN?!? Ryu tightly hugs Nishinoya's chest, I just stand there completely awestruck, THIS IS JUST TO MUCH CUTENESS FOR ONE MAN TO HANDLE!!!!!
Nishinoya looks at me and gives me a small smile " Ryu's such a good kid, I'm sure you and his mother are very proud" He says hesitatingly, Ryu then shifts in his arms and says " I don't have a mommy! It's just me and papa!!" Ryu tilts his head in confusion, I look at him and smile " Yup that's right it's just me and you buddy, but if mommy was here she would be very happy!" Ryu perks up and says "yayyyyyy!!"
I see a guilty look form on Nishinoya's face, I feel my heart twist. It's not his fault he didn't know any better... I look down at Nishinoya and Ryu I smile and ruffle Ryu's hair while he's in Nishinoya's arms, Ryu giggles and I smile gently " Ryu why don't you go play with your friends while I talk to Mr.Nishinoya hmm?" Ryu looks up at Nishinoya and Nishinoya flashes him a huge grin. Ryu's eyes light up and he dramatically shakes his head and yells " No!" I gawk in surprise ... NO!? He's never done this before?! IS THIS WHAT REBELLING IS?! I look at Ryu and gently ask " Why not Ryu?.." Ryu then hugs Nishinoya's chest tightly and pouts " I like Shi-chan!" I hear Nishinoya laugh and then he hugs him tightly" Oh my gosh you are the cutest!!
Ryu then giggles and pecks Nishinoya's cheek... IS THAT EVEN ALLOWED?! Daichi then walks in with a silver-headed man, the two are laughing and I notice the blush on both of their faces, congrats Daichi you da man! " DAI-CHAN!!" I hear ryu squeal loudly, Daichi immediately looks at Ryu and smiles brightly " RYUUU MY BABYYY BOYYYY" The silver-headed boy tilts his head in confusion as well as Nishinoya who is standing there holding onto Ryu, I let out a deep sigh and rub my temples, not again...
Ryu starts shuffling in Nishinoya's arms, Nishinoya gently puts him down, and Ryu dashes to Daichi " DAI-CHAN!!!!" Daichi runs and picks up Ryu " RYU MY ADORABLE LITTLE BEAN!" Ryu then kisses Daichi on the check and starts giggling madly..... *sigh* when you aren't even your kid's favorite person *depression*...
Suga and Nishinoya look at the two obviously confused... " I errr they're very close," I say awkwardly. Nishinoya and the silver-haired man laugh " I can see that" The silver-headed one says. He looks at me and then looks down at Nishinoya a very obvious smirk on his face " I'm Sugawara! I'm Nishinoya's coworker and longtime childhood friend but you can call me Suga! " He says smiling, I quickly notice the angelic presence filling up the room. I smile awkwardly and say " I'm Asahi Azumane! That's my kid Ryu and my longtime childhood friend Daichi... Nice to meet you Suga!"
"You two have some things to talk about right!?" Suga says clapping his hands together. I immediately blush and look away, Nishinoya doing the same thing. " Well, I guess I'll take those two so you guys can talk!" Suga says with a bright smile before dragging Daichi who's holding ryu away a confused look on both of their faces.
"I'm sorry about that... Ryu and Daichi can be a lot to handle when they get rowdy..." I sigh and rub the back of my neck, Nishinoya scoffs and says " Just wait till you make suga angry" I look at him a grin
like a humongous dork... which let's be honest I am..
- 3rd person pov *^*-
Nishinoya was currently fiddling with his hand... he was nervous. He knew he had been interested in Asahi but he didn't know if Asahi felt the same way... He wanted them to talk so they could sort out what they were and if they wanted whatever the were to change... I mean were they really just a one night stand? Asahi was also nervous, he had no idea what Nishinoya wanted to talk about with him and was beginning to grow anxious.
" I like you Asahi-san errr well I'm beginning too anyways...." Nishinoya silently mumbles out... Asahi stands there in disbelief... SAY WHAT. Asahi stands there dumbfounded and unsure what to say, Nishinoya stands there waiting for a response but it never came " Ummm you're supposed to reply Asahi-san" Asahi breaks out of his trance.... what should he say?! Of course, he had grown interested in Nishinoya... This was the first time he had done anything remotely romantic after the death of his wife.... but there was one problem... He was Ryu's teacher. Sure Nishinoya seemed like a great guy... but he didn't want to risk complicating Ryu's life... because Ryu was most important no matter what.
After a couple of moments of thinking, Asahi clears his voice and says " I'm sorry Nishinoya- san... You're the teacher of my child... I don't want to overwhelm him and complicate his life, I hope you understand this..." Asahi says trying my best to seem confident when inside he actually feels like jumping off a cliff. Nishinoya's face flickers with disappointment before he puts on an obviously bright smile " It's okay... I completely understand Asahi-san" Nishinoya turns away and says " I umm have to finish setting up for tomorrow's lesson, I hope you have a great evening.." Asahi sighs sorrowfully before making his way to exit the classroom...
Little did they both know both the raven-haired boy and silver-headed boy were not having it!
- Daichi's Pov ( yeah I know interesting right 😌)-
" GAHHH I TOLD HIM NOT TO DO THAT!" I whisper yell to the silver-headed man next to me known as suga. " What the heck do they think they're doing?!" Suga hisses... I then look at suga and say " Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Suga's face lights up " that we should totally get them together?!" I then smirk " Obviously!" We then give five each other and then I'm completely made aware I'm holding Ryu who is just looking up at me with a smile, oh shit. Did he understand any of that?! "UHHH RYU WHEN DID YOU GET THERE?!" Ryu then starts giggling " Ive been here the whole time silly dai-chan!!" I then feel the color leave my face, shit he's right?!
" What's getting together?" Ryu asks tilting his head and looks up at me, SHIT. I see suga giggle and look at Ryu before he says " It's something we're going to do for you papa and shi-chan but you can't tell them because it's a secret surprise!" Ryu's eyes then widen before he brightly smiles " Yayyyyy we're gonna give shi-chan and papa a surprise! *^*" Suga then smiles and looks up at me before winking, I feel myself turn red, what the heck Daichi! get yourself together man!
I see a dejected Asahi make his way towards us and I quickly make my way to approach him " How did it go, man!?" I say already knowing the outcome... Asahi looks at me with the gaze to kill and I immediately freeze in my place... oh no... he's released... ANGRY ASAHI?! RETREAT! " It didn't go great... I want my child." Asahi passes me and makes his way to Ryu, Ryu then squeals " PAPAAAAA" I then see a smile replace Asahi's frown. YES, ANGRY ASAHI HAS RETREATED! Nice work Ryu!
Asahi picks up Ryu and hugs him, Ryu pouts and gives Asahi pats on the head, obviously able to tell his dad isn't having a great day. "Papa lets go home!" Ryu says brightly trying his best to make his father smile... HE'S SUCH A GREAT KID! Asahi then nods and exits the building not before turning to me and gazing at me practically screaming "let's go!" I sigh and make my way to the exit but as I pass suga, our gazes meet and we both nod in determination. We're getting these two together no matter what!"
- Meanwhile with Suga and a very sad Nishinoya 😔-
-Suga's pov -
"Noya it's okay," I say in my best motherly tone possible, " He never said anything about not liking you... he was just looking out for his kid!" Nishinoya then looks up with a very hurt expression on his face " I KNOW! THAT'S WHY I CANT EVEN BE ANGRY AT HIM! WHY DOES HE HAVE TO BE SO CARING?! " Nishinoya yells furiously... man this sucks. I will not fail on this new mission... From what I heard from Daichi earlier Asahi hasn't had much relationship experience except his wife, this confused me at first was he straight? I asked Daichi about it and he let out a loud laugh " Asahi's isn't straight PFTT he's bi!"
God... Tanaka wasn't going to be happy about this... after what happened with Nishinoya's parents after they kicked him out and disowned him for being gay, he's been very cautious about being in a relationship with a man. It always broke my heart that somebody could do that to their own child... especially when they were a junior in high school, thank god my mom was able to take him in, after that Nishinoya wasn't as extremely outgoing as he was before, he definitely didn't take a much risk then he used too!
Tanaka and I were so happy when we saw Nishinoya talking to the stranger at the bar, It's not like nishinoya didn't have any relationship experience when it came to me.... they just always ended with one night stands and Nishinoya just wanted an actual relationship... I always had to console him and make him his comfort food which absolutely had to be teddy- bear-shaped chocolate chip cookies... IT ABSOLUTELY HAD TO BE!
Nishinoya hadn't made a noise all the way home, we were currently on our way to pick up Tanaka from work. I spot him standing outside and immediately pull up to the front, he then enters very enthusiastically " Yo-Yo wassup city boy's" Tanaka practically yells, he immediately looks at noya expecting a response but there is none. Noya is currently looking outside the window blasting his Panic at the disco music, I look at Tanaka through the rearview mirror and make the dont notion with my hand, he looks at me curiously and I just mouth " I'll explain later!" Tanaka settles down in the back seat, the car filling with awkward silence.
The moment we arrive at our apartment, Nishinoya exits the car and walks ahead already pulling out his key to the apartment complex... GAHAJJA. I can't believe this, stupid Asahi who was actually really nice. He broke my baby!
Me and Tanaka keep a distance behind noya knowing one wrong move will anger the short boy because when he's sad he's actually mad-sad. Yeah, it's a thing. It's Noya's thing to be specific, he'll go from cussing everything out insight to crying and apologizing to plants for being so mean, yeah he gets a little low...
"So what happened while I was at work he seemed so happy this morning?!" Tanaka madly whispers, I sigh and respond with " The guy he ended up sleeping with, happens to be the father of one of his students and the dad doesn't want to complicate his son's life, which is actually really considerate and adorable if noya hadn't been hurt in the process" Tanaka just stands there jaw wide open " Yeah I know that's what I said too!" We enter the apartment and look around for noya, he was nowhere in sight but you could hear his wanna be singing which was actually screeching coming from his room.
" I better start baking those cookies..." Tanaka nods in agreement and plops on the couch turning on the tv " So what are we going to do about this dude?" Tanaka turns on the sofa looking at me intensely "
We're going to get them together, duhhh also his name is Asahi, me and his friend are coming up with a plan" I say in between baking the cookies. " DAMN SUGA YOUR FAST!" Tanaka yells I was about to respond when we hear an inhuman like screech " CAN Y'ALL BE QUIET IM IN THE PROCESS OF LOOSING MY SHIT!" Tanaka and me look at each other before sighing " I should make more cookies...". Tanaka then says " Aye"
-Meanwhile at the Asahi residence -
-RYU'S POV ( SQUEALS) <(￣︶￣)> -
Papa has been sad since we came home from school, is it because I wouldn't let go of Shi-chan? (╥_╥) I should apologize to papa! I exit my room and make my way to papa's room and open the door quietly, I then hear sniffles... aweee... Papa's sad :(
" I'm sorry Hinoku... I guess I'm a little lonely after all" I hear my papa say quietly, I then close the door... I knew it! Papa is lonely... he keeps talking to mommy... I'm sorry papa!
I grab my crayons and start to scribble on a piece of paper " I'm going to dai-chan's!" I even used my favorite crayon! I hope papa likes it! I leave the note right outside papa's door so he doesn't get scared, I then run to put on my shoes and my coat because papa always says " Never leave the house without your coat! If you get lost make sure to give them the paper in your inner pocket Ryu!" I don't know what all that means but papa said to do it so I do! :3 I open the door and quickly make my way to dai-chan's house right next door. " DAI-CHAN ITS MEEEE! !!" (* ^ ω ^), It only takes a couple of seconds for Dai-chan to open the door, I then run inside taking off my shoes because that's what good kids do!
" RYU?! What are you doing here by yourself?!" I hear Da-chan say looking at me scared, I then hug dai-chan " Papa was sad and I didn't want to bug him ... dai-chan why does papa keep talking to mommy?" Dai-chan then looks away before smiling at me " He talks your mommy so he can tell her about how great you are!" He then pinches my cheeks " owwie! (＞ｍ＜)" I then look at dai-chan and say, " I think papa's lonely dai-chan!" Dai-chan smiles but it was a really sad smile and says " I think so too! but don't you worry Ryu, your dai-chan is going to make sure your papa isn't lonely anymore I pinky promise!" I can't help but giggle and squeeze dai-chan's finger " OKIE DOKIEEEE!" I then run off to my playroom and starts coloring pretty pictures for shi-chan! I'm going to give him a pretty present tomorrow so he and papa can smile! ;3;
