1 Chapter 1

Alexandra was the eldest daughter of the family Camelot. The Camelot family was rich. To the outside world, they gave the impression of a bright and happy family but the people working for that family knew better. The Camelot family was far from being a happy-go-lucky family.

Alexandra felt like she was suffocated being part of this family. Just the fact that her family cared so little about her. The times she felt like she belonged to this family was when her mother was there, but that was a faraway forgotten memory.

Her mother was driven out of the family, it seems that everyone believed that she cheated on her father. Even though everyone believed that Alexandra knew better, she could remember when she was little how much love her mother was looking at her father. Alexandra still remembered the day when her mother was driven out because it was night when all the happiness left her little world. There were screams, crying, and pleading, even though her mother was pleading with tears in her eyes for her husband to believe her, all these were soundless words to her husband. Alexandra could see the father she loved transformed into a person made out of stone, he was cold and unforgiving. Alexandra was looking unable to do anything as her mother was driven out into the rainy night. Even if she pleaded with her father to believe her mother, he was not listening to his daughter, but more than that in an excess of fury he has hit his daughter for the first time in her life. Alexandra was so shocked that her father who loved her dearly could hit her, after that she remained seated in the middle of the living room with tears in her eyes crying silently for the loss of her parents.

It seems that after that episode her father divorced her mother. Not long after their divorce, her father married a new woman. After this new woman entered the family the things got worse for Alexandra. Her stepmother was abusing her power, she treated her like a mere object, but things have gotten even worse when she had a son with her father. The moment he has gotten an heir, her father forgot about the existence of his daughter. That gave free way to her stepmother to abuse her. It seems that all the abuse was generated by the fact she was the daughter of that person.

Alexandra prayed every day for her mother to come and get her out of this damned house, but that did not happen. After years of unheard prayers, Alexandra gave up hope that her mother will come to rescue her from this. She lived her life as she was a shadow, ignored by her father and hated by her stepmother and stepbrother.

After she was old enough Alexandra thought to search for her mother but she could not find her. She was thinking that she left the country or that she is dead, but maybe she did not want to be found by her old family. This made Alexandra feel sadder than ever.

The thing that she could not find her mother made Alexandra not hope for love. She thought that all her life, her father will ignore her, that is why she was so shocked when he came to talk to her.

Ben ( Alexandra's father): You will have to marry the son of the Evelin family.

Alexandra: Why the sudden request? After you ignored me for so many years you remembered that you have a daughter.

Ben: Don't be so difficult, if you marry him, our company will be more prosper and we will have a lot of opportunities

Alexandra: The state of the company does not concern me.

Ben: You insolent brat, can't you do something useful for the future of your brother. You will marry this man and that is the final of our discussion.
