19 Chapter Nineteen

It was the day of the party, and all sorts of children were lead into the spacious ballroom which was currently used as a tea room for the party. Children started entering one by one giving their greetings. I spotted a blob of brown hair in a corner. It was none other than Theodore Nott. It looked distant and was not paying attention to anything as he bit into his cake.

This was the perfect time to talk to him before Draco and the Greengrass girls came. It was best to socialize especially with intelligent people such as Nott, he created a time turner when they were known to be one of the most complicated things in the magical world.

I walked towards Theodore with a soft smile and light footsteps. It was better for him to not notice me walking in his direction till it is too late for him to escape. I, after all, want to talk to him. I came to stand right in front of Theodore and stuck my hand out.

"My name is Pansy, Pansy Parkinson," I said with a light tone, urging him to introduce himself. Theodore looked at me with a surprising gaze before he scowled. "I am Theodore Nott," He said curtly. It was clear that he did not want to talk but I did not want to give up so I decided it would be best to befriend him at the very least.

"How are you enjoying the party so far, Theodore?" I asked I tried saying it a bit shyly so that I would get sympathy points, but still, plainly unaffected Theodore gave me a rude stare before looking away again. "It is splendid," Theodore said with a cold tone. He clearly thought otherwise but did not want to offend me directly.

Some part of me was thrilled at the idea of me tripping a poor passerby which would drop their cake onto his robes. The more I thought about it the more appealing it became. Sadly, I had to give myself a reality check, father would know it was me and I would be grounded from the library and my future tutor which I was supposed to meet soon.

I swallowed my thoughts before attempting again. "Look I know this is not the place you want to be so would you like for me to show you the library?" I asked. From the books, I knew he was very studious, and by a mere guess, I would say that he got into doing research since he lost his mother to Dragon Pox.

Theodore looked up at me and I could almost see the desire that clouded his features. He coughed to try and cover it before returning to a scowl. "I would like to if you do not mind," Theodore said while once again focussing his gaze elsewhere. I merely shook my head before laughing at his behaviour.

Theodore gave me a ruthless stare before huffing and stamping his feet. He clearly had not just learned how to control his temper. I smirked as this was the perfect opportunity for the future. If I wanted tog et connections I had to start off strong and reach for the best people to involve myself with. Theodore was one of the secret haters of the lesser blood. He did not like their presence and did not let it show.

At least for all, I could remember. I signed before leading the way towards the big doors. "I can not stay long so we have to take a quick look in before we have to leave once more, if that is alright with you," I say clearly in a way that demanded Theodore to agree. I saw his nod although it was begrudgingly.

We walked out and went towards the library, I was quick on my feet and watched Theodore with smirking eyes as he tried and barely kept up with my pace. I continued running up the stairs and waited in front of the library door for him to come.

I blessed the fragrance that made sure I still smelled as fresh as daisies. Theodore on the other hand seemed to smell a lot like fresh mint. I opened the door as he finally came to stand next to me and let him inside the library.

"This is the Parkinson Library,"
