Chapter 6: The Laurasia Kingdom

Many years ago, the united land of Pangaea was known to have two major kingdoms, Gondwana Kingdom on the southern part and Laurasia Kingdom on the north.

Gondwana Kingdom was first ruled by King Godwinson I, it became the most powerful nation as he was the one who establish the job system to strengthen the kingdom further.

The Gondwanians appearance has a lot of physical variation, from dark to fair skin with colorful wavy hair, almond eyes and pointed nose. On the other hand, Laurasians are a bit different in a way that they can be easily distinguished from gondwanians.

The laurasians consist of one thousand and one virgin immortal ladies who has long ebony hair, fair skin and slanted eyes, wearing a long white robe. Some laurasians has clairvoyance ability while some don't have. They were ruled by Lady Laura who was believed to be a goddess who was punished by the Gods in heaven to give birth to one thousand and one girls after having a forbidden relationship with a human being. The laurasians were living peacefully until Rodinian rebels from the fallen Rodina Kingdom told King Godwinson I about them and seized them in exchange for the re-establishing of their Kingdom under their leadership as Godwina's Ally. Lady Laura tried to negotiate with King Godwinson I, by offering herself to him, however, the King came up with another idea and later on became their tradition up to the present. The King himself, will choose a non-clairvoyant laurasian to be his queen to bear his child, if the first born was a son he will be a crown prince and if it was a daughter, she will be sacrificed to appease the God's wrath on her 21st birthday.

"That's it? The connection of Fumiya to the laurasians is still absurd! Go to Hinterdorf Village and ask the people there, we might get important clues", Cadros said, holding a report scroll.

Hinterdorf Village is an isolated place near Laurasia Kingdom, this village is always in winter season since light from the sun wasn't able to fully penetrate it as its location was on the northern most part. The houses were all made from strong rare black wood that was best for snowy regions. The village was rich in different wood products, such as timber, resin and rubber. There was no clan representing a certain class in this place.

"Older brother, going to Hinterdorf is dangerous, Fumiya will surely know what we are planning if we go there", Ciendrick Aiba replied.

"Fear not, since I already mastered the mind blocking techniques which cancelled her skill twice", Cadros said.

"If Princess Nevelea is still alive, I know she will stop you", Ciendrick uttered.

"But she's not here anymore! I will not take my last breath until I avenge her", Cadros exclaimed, clenching his fist.

"Don't let your emotions eat you and ruin the kingdom! Many innocent people will suffer", Freya butted in.

"Freya?! Ha! So you already forgotten what they did to your beloved Oduru? or you are fine now by just remembering him as your animal companion", Cadros said.

"Cadros! Not because I don't act like you means I don't care or I don't share the same feelings with you, if you don't want to end like Oduru, then don't decide if you are emotionally unstable", Freya responded, grabbing the neck garment of Cadros.

"Geez, can we calm down a little, stop mentioning the past and deal with our current situation?", Ciendrick suggested.

Freya released her hand and continued.

"Ciendrick, don't go out of the palace, instead try to reach out to our Queen, she might know something about this, she's a Laurasian after all", she said.

"How can she help us, even the late Queen was not that helpful", Ciendrick replied.

"She was Kiyomi's mother, and today's situation is different, I'm sure Fumiya will watch everything we do and will try to know what we are up to, I will try to ask Raijin for help, he is the one that guards the room of the Princess where Queen Suiko always stayed", Freya suggested.

"Impossible, that guy won't help us, he is on the royal family's side, until that connection with him remains, he is still unreliable", Cadros explained.

"Hmm, then I will send someone who is not suspicious and is trustworthy", Freya replied.

"Who will you send then?", Ciendrick asked.

Freya stared at him and grin.

Meanwhile, in the Grand Palace, the Divine Seeress Fumiya visited the King.

"My King, I think I already knew where the heart of the Princess was", Fumiya uttered.

"You think? Why you sound so uncertain? You are not that kind of a lady that I knew", the King responded.

"Of course, I'm always certain my King, however, I felt a sudden confusion as I found out that the energy of the heart of your daughter was traced in a boy's body".

"What sorcery is that?! Find out the reason!", the King exclaimed.

"I will look further on its details as they return here after a month", Fumiya said.

"After a month? You mean he is one of the adventurers?", the King asked.

"Fortunately, he is indeed, one of those adventurers, our plan made it possible", Fumiya said.

"Find him as soon as possible and retrieve the heart of my daughter, we only have three years left to secure the royal ceremony", the King ordered.

"Yes my King, I shall now take my leave", Fumiya said.

After having conversation with the King, Fumiya headed back to her chambers and called for a young lady.

"My lady, what is it that you called me for?", the young lady asked, kneeling.

"I have some task for you and if you do it well your wish will be granted", Fumiya said.

"What is it that I need to do?"

"You must successfully gain their trust"

On the other side of the palace, Queen Suiko is preparing to leave her room, heading to her daughter's chambers. The Queen was a lovely lady with a pure and simple beauty. After proclaimed as the Queen of Gondwana Kingdom, her life completely changed. Her white robe was replaced by a thick-layered red elegant dress and a long silk cloth around her arms. Her long ebony hair was tied up with numerous golden hair combs and hair sticks. She was being envied by the Royal Consort Lady Makeda and wanted to depose her.
