11 Thoughts Of A New Home

After the short meeting of the red and black kings, the president decided to issue a summons to all the kings, requesting them to visit the White House or at least make a posting online stating that they won't become a threat to the safety of normal people.

The president herself was a bit worried now of the black king, though it seems like he was completing some quest for revenge, there is nothing stopping him from causing chaos after that. Knowing 2 kings weren't enough for her , she wanted to know every king's current intentions , even if it was only an act on their part.

Deciding to do her summons in the form of a meeting, the president, early the next day, showed up on every news station at the podium in the White House that is used for press conferences.

On the same day, staying in his home as he watched the president's request, a brown hair young man with golden eyes was reclining on a black leather sofa. This young man was Damian, and as he watched the president say her request and give her reasons for it. He was wondering what he personally should do.

There were 3 options that he saw he could take. The first was that he could naturally not respond and let nobody know that he is the gold king. With his vast knowledge of cultivation novels and anime cliches he had a feeling it would still be revealed another way that was more dangerous.

The second was to reveal himself partially, in particular he will have his friends buy him a mask to wear and then make a video for the president and everyone to see, stating his thoughts and goals, effectively answering the questions of the president while keeping his identity fairly safe.

This option was probably the best thing to pick since his identity would be kept a secret if he was careful enough, and the nation would know that the gold king is cooperative with the government. This answers both questions while giving him a chance to do something in cooperation with the government, most likely with his powers.

Though he didn't like the idea of being used, he was fairly confident that the government couldn't really stop him from refusing things unless the red king attacked him or they fired a nuke at him. According the events of the other planet's kings. Some kings have energy force fields strong enough to stop bullets and missiles so unless it were another king attacking them, he would be relatively safe from harm.

The final choice of the 3 initial choices were to do a complete reveal while declaring his intentions. This result could end very badly depending on how the president reacts. Damian's mother would also find out and as her being a doctor at the Boston General Hospital, she would be worried mentally about her son when anything dangerous happens that involves him.

Damian knew his mother cared for him a lot. Even if they were unable to do many things together there is always that one Tuesday and Saturday of every week that his mother doesn't work. On those days when she isn't resting from the job, laying on her bed while watching anime, she asks Damian what he wants to do that day and joins him even when he ends up playing video games, though she doesn't last a few minutes in the Call of Duty games before she gives up stating it is difficult.

Damian smiled as he thought about his mother's personality. She was very kind and doting towards him, as he was her only child. She never said much about his father or her own history but, trusting that his 37 year old mother will tell him one day, he didn't bring it up at all.

Sending a text to his friends to buy him a mask for him to wear, Damian effectively decided to go with the second option. He personally didn't want to hide his powers from the government, there could be a lot of misunderstandings built from that and unnecessary friction can easily build under the wrong circumstances.

There was no reason to be completely off the radar, it's not like this isn't a very technological age, people will catch him using his powers if there were any battles happening in the public, there are always a few that want to be internet famous for capturing things on video while putting their lives on the line.

Now, onto the next issue Damian thought about. He needed to think of if he wanted to create an organization or not. This situation is oddly similar to the popular K: Project anime from a few year back. If he did, he wondered how he would conduct his organization, the government already had the red king on their side to an extent, shown by the ending of the press conference currently being aired on the screen.

He didn't want to be a bad person, so he wondered what to do, he could just make a big group that takes in homeless and Orphaned children, effectively giving them a chance to do something different with their lives. He could also just pick up any of the kids on the darker path and lead them to the light by giving them power and showing the that they had other options.

There were many more options for what king of group or organization he could make but he seemingly liked those 2 in particular. He had a few friends who went down the wrong path during his high school years and they all ended up in jail in some way. He would rather give others a chance to change their ways before they end up with the same fate.

Though unrealistic, he wanted a place where children and teens had a chance to do something new in their life while also being who they wanted to be in the end without conforming to the typical 9-5 office job life style.
