15 Internet Is King

That night, the military once again searched the harbor in hopes of finding the gold king and more importantly the black king. Sadly, there was nothing to really go off of and they had to once again pull back the soldiers, that were out all night, to the base.

During the next few days, events in the nation really started to heat up. First, the government transport Pandora box out of Boston and into a military base within the state of Massachusetts. The precise location was unknown to the public.

Secondly, the black king, Kain, had attacked and killed all of the people in 2 more locations in Boston and New York and only saved the kidnapped females that were trapped inside. It was later found out that these men who were killed by Kain were a part of a nation wide human trafficking ring. This caused the public to become a bit more tolerant of the black king's behavior but as was always with killing, nobody thought it should be good to kill people like that.

This ended up sparking a lot of controversy over the internet in which had thousands of people were defending Kain's actions saying that the police were not as efficient as Kane in cleaning up the streets.

It was a battle of who were doing more, Kain who was permanently lessening the amount of danger on the streets, even if just by a little, and the police who only acted when they were certain the legal system backed up their actions. It was still an ongoing dispute which was covered nation wide on new stations and different social media platforms. Kane even ended up getting a nickname of the black knight for saving dozens of women from their captors.

The final event were the responses of the kings to the president. The red, pink, and gold kings had openly responded to the president, the green king was refusing and for the seventh king, nobody has spotted its throne yet so people are assuming that king hasn't been crowned yet.

Going back to the responses, the pink king, with the help of Angela, did a short video in the hospital explaining her intentions to help people in need. This, along with her face mask and haori, made her gain a massive following online. There were people who were saying that she should be the pink queen but with fanboys and fangirls defending the title of pink king, the internet came to an agreement to let Anna decide what she would like to be called.

Anime fans in particular were very supportive of Anna. She was like the waifu of their dreams so in an attempt to meet her and join her clan, as the concept or a king's organization or clan were already known to the public, people gave themselves small to medium size injuries before visiting the hospital.

This quickly resulted in a follow up video from Rose asking people to not injure themselves just to meet her, she would only like people who were truly hurt in unfortunate events to come to the hospital for treatment.

While Rose and her new diehard fans on the internet talking what is acceptable and what isn't, another video was gaining traction as well.

The video in particular was Damian's video. It showed a masked figure manifest a katana and stop an attack in an instant. This was more action than most had seen from the kings themselves and with the video circulating the internet with different audios attached, thank social media, the views of the original video has reached the height of multi millions.

During the video, moments after the sneak attack was blocked by Damian. Another king, the Black King Kain, appeared in the video and after a brief clash of auras he retreated into the shadows while leaving a warning to Damian.

After that Damian had to speed up his speech, and while wearing his kitsune mask, he said that he wanted to make a force of sorts to deal with strains and kings making trouble in Massachusetts. Additionally,he wanted to give anyone in his clan the opportunity to pursue their passion, be that cooking, games, martial arts, photography, etc. His reason for this was because young people don't want to go to school and accrue a massive debt just to find a job. He would give them a job to do while they were able to pursue their passion at the same time. It was Damian's version of a win win situation.

He also requested that the government meant not try and identify him or he will be uncooperative with them in the future.

This viewpoint was accepted by most people online, though the president herself has yet to give a response to these videos.

There were also many theories about Damian's video being fake and staged. Video editing software made it possible for the entire thing to be staged but after a while people deemed it real due to the intensity of the situation and the fact that high level video editing software that was able to simulate what had happened were very expensive and not easily usable by the public.

All in all, the Pink and Gold Kings were the most talked about kings in the nation. The red king was less interesting since he was talking about only putting food on the table and living his life. Though his own take of the response gained him respect with the older percentage of adults, what really made him respected though was that he didn't hide his face in his video. People saw him for who he was and after finding out his name and social media accounts, bombarded his email and private messages with interview requests and even sponsorships.

The kings were hot topics right now so if any news station were to have an interview with one or if a company were to sponsor them, their popularity would skyrocket, gaining them more money and fame.

At the same time that the internet were fighting over the videos of the kings, a brown haired teen with golden pupils walked down a fairly busy street followed by his two friends. Pulling the door open to one of the buildings they were walking past, the trio entered inside to see it was a gaming cafe.

"Damian! Ari! Kai!" A cheerful greeting was heard

as the trio walked towards the counter to the left of the entrance. Unsurprisingly a young woman was behind the counter as she slowly stood up while wearing a badge that said staff on her shirt.

"Mia! Did you guys start the raid yet?" Ari asked first as Damian and Kai signed themselves in.

"No we didn't, we were waiting for Zoey to show up but she couldn't make it these past few days. Why don't you join us to make it a full team of 3? Me and Kylie are ready for the raid." The young woman said as she looked expectantly into Ari's eyes.

"Sorry Mia, I'm teaming with these 2 noobs like always. Maybe next time?" Ari replied while signing in before gently pushing Damian and Kai to their usual spots in the back of the building. They were well known within the cafe by other guests so while greeting a couple of gaming buddies they made it to their destinations.

As they sat in computers away from people, primarily because it was a bit more peaceful even with the occasional shouts of rage in the distance of fellow gamers, they decided to look at the food menu beside the keyboards and decided to order food for the group instead of individually.

The trio had been coming to this place to play a popular mmorpg game they started years ago when they first got into high school. Though they could have easily played at their own homes they enjoyed playing beside each other and with this place offering high spec computers at a reasonable price, they had come here a few times a week to complete raids or just spend time with each other in and out of game at the same time.

After a few minutes of looking at the menu, they ultimately decided to put in an order for food, about 30 BBQ and Buffalo wings (split 15 and 15 of course) with some cheese fries. This was done through the online website so after stating their computer station numbers and paying for the food, they began to start gaming while the cooks in the kitchen started cooking food.

Since the building had a kitchen and dining service, Players could enjoy food and games as long as they didn't get the computers and keyboards dirty. There were, of course, tables set up around the buildings for people to enjoy their food at too.

With the events of Pandora's box happening, the trio weren't able to game as much as they had before, so now with some time to enjoy themselves, they decide to game their Thursday night away like they always had.
