164 Episode 163-The Loyal Hound!

"My teeth!" Albert howled as I left him bleeding holding his mouth.

'Stupid old man and his touch hands.' I remembered how his hands would sneak towards my butt.

*Ping* I looked down to see it was a message from Luke.

[They are dead, your highness.] There was another intention of holding the royal meeting. It was to grant Ellis' wish of slaughtering the Ava and Sprinkles family, which I had promised him, without any interference.

[Good. Meet me back at the restaurant.] I typed back as I went back to the restaurant.

Seeing Natasha walk out of my restaurant I smiled. She didn't see me and began walking away.

"You don't need to pretend anymore," I called out to her which surprised her as she stopped and turned around to face me.

"Your highness." She bowed towards me.

"No." I shook my head with a smile.

"Just John Field from now on." She looked at me in confusion.

"You will get the news soon enough. Your mission to infiltrate the R&D will be withdrawn in a few hours as well." I chuckled as I walked into the restaurant leaving her all the more confused and shocked.

*Ping* I looked down at my PCD. [Relocation complete] I smiled seeing this. My private lab along with Sophie had been relocated through my nanobots.

Now if anyone went to my previous lab it was just a normal lab with no link to a private lab.

I waited around as I read the reports of my news of resignation passing around to lower nobles from the court members.

1 hour later both Ellis and Luke walked into the restaurant.

Ellis had a satisfied and grateful look. "Thank you, your highness." He bowed toward me but I noticed his quench for vengeance hasn't ended. After all, there was still one more person in his book of people to kill.

"No problem. Also, from this day forth I am not 3rd prince John Emberson, but rather John Field. You can drop the 'your highness' thing." Both of them looked at me in shock.

"But…" Ellis began but I stopped him.

"I have not long to live Ellis. I became a prince because it suited my needs at that moment. Now that everything is done I can retire and die peacefully." I spewed bullshit.

"I have given you what I promised. You can choose to still work for me or the emperor. It doesn't really matter now. As for you Luke, you will be working for the new emperor after my death till then you will work beside me." Luke nodded while Ellis tightly clenched his fist.

"I will serve you my lord till your last moment." 'I very much doubt that Ellis.'

[Crown Prince Quarters-3rd PoV]

*Knock**Knock* "Come in." James the 3rd replied in annoyance.

Smith came in, with his serious face.

James scowled seeing Smith. "Why did you ally yourself with him?"

"Even though I have been pretending for the past few years, my annoyance towards you was never an act old man." Smith didn't react to his taunt.

"His Majesty wishes to know why you allied with him, James. You better give me an answer right now." Tom appeared from the shadow and stood beside James.

"I have told everything in the courtroom. There is nothing for me to hide." Smith activated his award to see if he was lying.

A frown came upon Smith's face as he looked at Tom who nodded sneakily.

Smith quickly walked out of the room. 'He was telling the truth.' The old man frowned as a bird of darkness flew through the window holding a letter.

Reading the letter Smith changed his path to wait by the side. A few minutes later out of Smith's shadow a visage of darkness appeared.

"Butler Smith, I don't appreciate staying away from his highness too much." Tom bowed.

"Why is James acting this way?" Smith didn't waste his time.

"I am not sure as well. John called him one day and they talked for a while before his highness decided to join him." Tom explained causing Smith to frown.

"Is he being mind-controlled?" Tom asked in worry.

"No, his mind if in a perfect state." Unknown to both was that John's or rather Ez's award was undetectable.

"Then I believe his highness simply started thinking for himself properly," Tom stated.

"That is what we all believe, but there is the problem that John could be manipulating him for something." Smith was concerned trying to figure out why John was trying to use Tom.

"As long as I am there I will make sure his highness won't be harmed. I owe my life to the empress." Smith nodded hearing Tom's declaration.

The story of the pretty boy rescued from the clutches of bandits by the travelling young empress was a famous story in the empire. However, what no one knew was how much care the empress had given in to recover the mentally disturbed boy from his haunted days of **** at the hands of bandits.

Since his recovery, the boy swore an oath to serve the empress and came to be known as the loyal hound of the empress. The only thing the empress requested during her last days to her loyal hound was to protect and keep her son James the 3rd safe.

Since then, Tom like his title has been a loyal hound to James the 3rd. Even though he would answer to the emperor and the empire his loyalty laid first on the son of his saviour and healer.

Two pieces of great news came about during the week, after John's declaration in the court, to the public.

The first was the end of 2 great families, one a noble family and the other a merchant family. It has been declared it was the work of their enemies and the empire was looking for the culprits. However, not many paid attention to this as a 2nd piece of news came out.

The empire came to know the resignation of the former 3rd Prince.

The internet was bustling with topics and discussions about this event.

Everyone was upset upon knowing this, but what came next confused them more. It was the news of the 3rd prince supporting the crown prince in his campaigns.

Naturally many people's heart wavered whether to support the crown prince or not because the 3rd prince was supporting him. It was a confusing time for the citizen of the empire on whose side to pick now that their favourite prince had disappeared from the scene.

A few days later it was announced the R&D has been fully absorbed under the empires control and massive changes were being made.

Under the guidance of the former 3rd prince, the crown prince began actively working in the public restoring his image.

As for everyone keeping eye on John Field, they were all confused at what he was playing at. No one knew what the crazy guy was planning next.
