Chapter -5- [Only the dead can see me-1]

It was Yu Il Han, not Lita, who first noticed that something was wrong. He saw a car that had been in a crash, and he saw that it was moving all of a sudden. And he quickly moved toward Lita.

"Lita, I think it's time for us to part." He said and hugged Lita tightly.

[Huh? Like what? What do you mean?] The Clumsy Angel still didn't understand what was happening. And she didn't expect a sudden hug, so she didn't know what to do.

"The world is resetting, Lita."

[What? Aaah! No!] And she hugged Il Han back.

"Lita, thank you so much for being here and helping me all these years. I don't know what I would have become all these years on my own without you. I'm going to work hard and get to your level so I can see you again in the future. Just don't skip your training and stay at the same level. Otherwise I will leave you behind." He kissed her on the forehead. After he hug Lita, they were both lifted into the sky by a force. And this force was pulling them in different directions. After the kiss, he had to let go of Lita.

After splitting from Yu Il Han, the sword he had made in a two years after picking up the hammer, the sword that was trash in his eyes, trembled powerfully at Lita's waist.

Was it only this? The vehicles on the road, the clothes Yu Il Han was wearing, and everything in the world was in motion. It meant only one thing. The world was going back to the moment when time first stopped.

[Please, do something about the sword.] Lita shouted towards him as she hurriedly grabbed the sword. While Yu Il Han's body was moving against his will.

"What do you expect me to do when a force I don't understand is causing all this? Just.. What can I do? You said yourself [I'll make sure it stays even after the world is reset]. And even if anything happens to it, don't worry. I'll make you a better one. Why don't you let it go?"

[Neverrr!!!]

His body didn't return to its original state. He was just flying back to where he was when he was first outcasted. He looked like a bird in flight.

"Take care of yourself, Lita! I hope it won't be too long before we meet again. Farewell!!!" Il Han shouted towards Lita as he moved further and further away from her.

[Ah, Il Han, wait! I still have more to tell you!!! G-God, just a little more! Just give me a little more time to say goodbye!]

As Lita clutched her sword, realizing that she would not see Il Han for some time, she desperately called out to God. But her wish did not come true.

As Yu Il Han's body flew irresistibly from his home to the campus, Lita began to ascend towards the sky with another force. It was so strong that at one point her eyes began to fill with tears of sadness.

[You were calm until now, but why all of a sudden.. You're going too far, you're going too far!]

Lita blamed God, complaining in a way not befitting a messenger of God. All she could do now was watch Yu Il Han move away and pray for his future well-being. As she hugged the sword softly, she said, [You left the sword to me. Therefore, I will take back the words 'You're going too far!'.]

Would there ever come a time when she could meet Yu Il Han again? She prayed for that. She prayed that they could meet again after Yu Il Han had escaped the clutches of time. As soon as possible. Perhaps even tomorrow.

She slowly closed her eyes as she embraced the hope she could never have imagined a thousand years ago when she came to find the outcast Yu Il Han. And then she realized something and her face turned red like a tomato again.

[He really hugged me.. and kissed me..! Uwaa!!]

That's when poor Angel Lita's brain was short-circuited and she went back to heaven. Yu Il Han was also thrown onto the campus. Yu Il Han, who was almost thrown at the last moment, somersaulted and stabilized himself while still in the air and landed with a smooth stance, avoiding any damage.

"My little fox, can you hear me?" He called out. He had in his mind, line by line, Amagi-chan's advanced software that had evolved alongside him all these years. He hadn't backed it up on any external disk, since everything could be erased when the world was reset. Everything was in his memory. He hoped that nothing would happen to the little fox, trusting that all media channels in the world were paralyzed except the internet. But his heart was still tightening at the possibility that the changes made to the internet might be deleted when the world was reset.

{Papa, I'm still here. Please don't worry..} She seemed to notice the quiver in Il Han's voice. And she was trying to soothe him.

Il Han could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Thinking calmly now, of all the things he had experienced over the years, flying was the most interesting. Wasn't this proof that the monotonous days were over? He promised himself that he would learn to fly when he had control of the mana.

He looked up at the cloudless blue sky and saw that Lita was still rising higher and higher. And suddenly he felt a hollow in his heart. One couldn't realize the importance of something that was important to him without losing it. Well, that was normal. Even though it felt natural for Yu Il Han to be with her since she had been with him for a long time, it was rare for Lita to interact with a normal human like Yu Il Han.

"A higher existence, huh..." Yu Il Han muttered to himself..

"Anyway, it won't be long before we meet again. Amagi-chan, from now on you will be my eyes on the world. Our first goal is to buy a place through hacking and turn it into my workshop. Then I want you to use the surveillance cameras, drones and unmanned aerial planes in the Asian region to guide me to the locations of the monsters closest to me if I want. For now, just stay in surveillance mode. Okay?"

{All right, Papa. I will connect to these devices and then wait to be contacted by you.}

Il Han has already given Amagi-chan his instructions. As he traveled the world, he knew where to get the best materials for his workshop. But with the Great Cataclysm happening right now, most of the world's transportation routes would be paralyzed. So he would have to try to get what he could in Korea as soon as possible.

While Yu Il Han was thinking about what to do in the future, the world was returning to the way it was 1000 years ago. The exploded cars were being repaired and returned to their original positions, and everything in the world that had been damaged by Yu Il Han was returning to its original state.

And the moment was approaching.

Yu Il Han did not wait for people to appear as he had done in the 10th year of his being left behind. He walked straight home.

And after another half an hour he felt that the world and himself had changed. He knew his own body better than anyone else. And there was a small but significant change in his body.

Cold, clear, perfect, powerful energy. When his heart beat, the energy beat with it, as if it had been like that from the beginning.

He didn't even have to think about it. This was a new energy, a new mana that the world was communicating with. It was the energy that people had adapted to by staying in other worlds for ten years. It was the energy that Yu Il Han would adapt to in the future. It was his gateway to Cultivation.

"Hehheh, the monsters won't even know what has struck them." Il Han started grinning like a devil.

He was different from the old boyish college freshman. No, they were both in the same timeline, but didn't he have a history of countless years of effort? He was walking home thinking about such trivial things.

As he walked along the road, people started to appear everywhere, in shops, on the streets and in cars. It was a very peculiar sight. And none of them were looking at Il Han. It was as if he wasn't there.

Humans. There were really a lot of people around. After all these years it seemed like a dream. As he listened to them talking to each other, he smiled and walked past them.

"We really came back after ten years."

"According to their words, we can finally..."

"Uuww, I'm really scared.."

"Hey, I can open the status here too."

"Damn, literally everything I've worked so hard for has been erased!"

Screams and shouts could be heard everywhere.

He was forgotten because of his hundreds of years of conversations with Lita. But he had the legendary achievement of being excluded from the elementary school picnic, the middle school camp and the high school field trip.

Was that all? When he enrolled at the university, he was in the front row and raised his hand, but he was not noticed. This was something that happened very often. It was no exaggeration to call him the Phantom Sixth Man.

There was no way for the excited earthlings to notice Yu Il Han. He had activated his legendary disguise again. Only those he wanted could see him. Looking at the people chattering around, he felt he was already missing Lita.

'Anyway, it's time to go home and meet my family in this life.'

Upright, he walked out of the campus, ignoring the joy of the returnees, their worries about the future and their talk about what would happen in the cataclysm. None of it interested him.

The bus still had not arrived. After all, it was not the time for either the bus drivers or the passengers to sit on the bus. They would probably all go home and wait for an explanation from the government or meet their loved ones after the inevitable separation.

In any case, if he ran even a little bit faster, he could run tens of kilometers at once. That's why from the very beginning he had no intention of taking the bus. It was a fact that he was faster than everyone else. Unless mana was involved, of course.. Even then, since everyone else in the world had their stat reset except him, there was no one faster than him.

'She said that mana is a very limitless power. It can strengthen the body, increase speed, or create enormous power.'

When he remembered the times when Lita had used magic, he could accept it. The human race was once again divided into those who could use mana and those who could not. Unlike people who had worked for ten years, Yu Il Han had only recently been introduced to mana. So if a group was formed based on mana ability, he should have been at the bottom. But things were not going to play out that way.

'Oh, yes. Status.'

It came to his mind just before he got home. Lita had said that because of the Great Cataclysm, the Akashic records would be connected to the world and people would be able to see some of these records. The returnees were also talking about something like status.

'Hmm.. Let's see how it opens.. I'll think about opening it..'

As soon as he thought about it, the green letters suddenly appeared in front of his eyes. It was as if they were engraved on his retina.

Centuries of training finally paid off. Thanks to the essence he drank, his stats were much higher than the original. He did not know what level these stats corresponded to. But he didn't need to know for now. A new grind field had now opened. And Il Han was very happy.
