73 Chapter 73: The tsundere and Childish Shi Jue

"If you don't like it, I'll have someone tear it down," Shi Jue said stiffly.

The joy in Xia Weiyang's heart immediately disappeared after hearing Shi Jue's voice. For her, the incredible moment was ruined by his presence. Xia Weiyang's happiness started to fade the moment he spoke.

Shi Jue's eyes darkened after seeing Xia Weiyang's resentful gaze. "I'll go find Mo Yi," he said in a deep voice.

"Hey!" Xia Weiyang quickly grabbed Shi Jue. "Since it's already been set up, there's no point tearing it down."

"Do you like it?" Shi Jue's eyes lit up.

"Yes! I like it very much. Thank you!" Xia Weiyang's tone was full of sincerity. It fulfilled dream of having a very special birthday celebration.

She could not deny that she was touched by Shi Jue's gesture.

Shi Jue glanced at her indifferently. "Hurry up and wash your hands," he coldly said as he grabbed Xia Weiyang's hand.

A huge cake with five layers was placed on a long table in the middle of the room. It was decorated beautifully and looked very sweet and delicious. Upon seeing the cake, Xia Weiyang immediately pulled away from Shi Jue and ran to the bathroom. "I'll be done soon!"

Shi Jue touched the spot on his arm that was grabbed by Xia Weiyang earlier. He then watched her with joy in his eyes.

Suddenly, Shi Jue inadvertently saw the bouquets of flowers by the door.

When he saw the solitary rose that was not part of the bouquet he gave to Xia Weiyang, his face instantly darkened. He then picked up the flower and threw it into a trash can.

Despite throwing the flower away, Shi Jue was still angry. He then took it out of the trash can and threw it on the ground. He stomped on it until it was completely ruined.

He then picked up the remains of the dilapidated flower and threw them into the trash can.

As soon as he heard the bathroom door open, Shi Jue straightened his body. He then leisurely walked into the hall with his hands behind his back.

"What were you doing? Why do you look so flustered?" Xia Weiyang asked while wiping the water droplets from her hands.

"That's none of your business!" Shi Jue said with a cold tone and glared at Xia Weiyang.

Xia Weiyang decided to keep quiet to avoid agitating Shi Jue even more.

Unfortunately, Shi Jue saw that some of the flowers he had given her had been destroyed. He couldn't help but feel angry after seeing the state of the flowers.

"Who did this?" Shi Jue angrily shouted.

At first, Xia Weiyang did not understand what Shi Jue was referring to. However, after following his gaze to the bouquet of flowers, she finally understood what he was talking about. "A jealous woman did it," she softly said.

Xia Weiyang then realized that the flowers came from Shi Jue.

That could be the reason why he was so angry.

"A woman from your company," Shi Jue said with certainty.

"Yes," Xia Weiyang nodded. "Let's not talk about those people. Let's get started. I can't wait any longer." Xia Weiyang's eyes lit up as she stared at the cake in front of her.

Shi Jue glanced at the flowers again, and his eyes flashed with viciousness.

It was the first time that he sent flowers to someone. He did not expect that someone would destroy them.

He would like to punish the person who destroyed the flowers.

Shi Jue then walked to the cake while holding a box of matches. He then lit each candle on the cake.

Xia Weiyang stared at the dancing candlelight in front of her. Like the candles, her heart was full of life at that moment because of the happiness that she felt. Her small face slowly revealed a blissful smile. "Shi Jue, let's sing a birthday song together."

"I won't!" Shi Jue coldly refused.

"Today is my birthday. Can't you cooperate a little?" she said with a frown on her face.

"I can't," Shi Jue responded.
